Update from minutes ago on my ST Line vig, ordered 5th Mar.

Early Sept update had a build date of 29th Sept.

Today, build date of 11th Oct.

I asked about eta to dealer, and they said it takes a month from build completion to get to dealer, so based on the 11th Oct build start, the ETA to dealer is showing week ending 25th Nov. (Implying about 12 days total build, processing and release time within the plant)

Some slippage still then.

Mine has now switched to 18th October, was originally 29th Sept.

Got a bit of good news from ford dealer my Ford Focus st has been built and gate released 12 sept due at dealership we14 oct that’s just over 18 months wait 👌

Is it something wrong with me but while in normal mode engine breaking seemed the sharpest.

Hmm?, doubt it is you D-Day!! - might just be a difference in the models? - drove my puma to work this morning prompt as it's 'sport mode Saturday' and the regen feels stronger then normal mode?....

I didn't dare try sport mode in mine after reviews on the regen harshness!  

I think the brake regen is also dependent on the 48v state of charge though.  So if the charge is very low (as you'd expect on a brand new car) it might be a bit more harsh even in normal mode for a few miles until it's in a better state of charge.  That's purely a semi-educated guess, I don't have any proof or experience to back that up!

Might be l suppose? - but as there's no indication of level charge we will never know?!....

Boss Lady convinced & order has been placed as of yesterday! Expected delivery is end of March, which puts it at 6 months.

Well done mate, I placed an order (mean green ST) with dealer at start of may when factory orders were closed, so was only placed with factory last Friday when they reopened the order books.  Just waiting on numbers at moment as looking to upgrade from performance pack to the newly added track pack..

The new track pack is a clear indication there will be no RS, so I say do it! 🙈 Prices have gone up, mind 😔

Yeah that was my thought regarding the RS and I think this will be the last ST as we know them, so would be nice to make it a little more special.  As far as price my deal was sorted start of May before the more recent rises so I hope they can just remove the performance pack and add track pack obviously paying the difference..

New week and new info regarding my black st-x! Finally got the VIN number, build date of beginning of Oct and est delivery date of mid/late Nov. Things are getting serious now, finally! Cheers!

"Funny" news in my newspaper today (translated from dutch)

"Like many other companies, Ford is struggling with parts shortages. That shortage is so acute that about 40,000 cars cannot be delivered because they are still missing essential parts. This usually concerns chips, but there is also a shortage of the iconic oval brand plates that adorn the hood. Alternative solutions were sought, such as pictures from 3D printers, but these did not meet the quality requirements. A car can also drive without a brand plate, but driving without a brand will not happen for the time being as far as Ford is concerned."

 

Guys, not a good news...A person from my country who has the 155mhev poweshift version has issues with the car, Ford will replace his engine after only 2k km...Why? Due to antifreeze liquid loss, Ford technicians found inside an injector this liquid, so this is indeed a big quality issue...

I really hope none of us will have this major issue...

I heard off a JLR employee they have ceased production on less profitable models as a new wave of semi-conductor shortages has hit them. 

Obvs not Ford related, but shows you how fragile the current supply chain is. 

I would not be surprised by further delays throughout the industry & also Christmas shutdowns to consider. 

Haven't they had enough time off this year?  Surely they could skip the Xmas shutdowns.

New update after 2 weeks almost.

Car is still at the factory, no one knows why it was not shipped... shady things are happening at Saarlouis again.

My car supposedly left factory 2nd September. 
 

still not in the UK. Currently at a port in Belgium apparently

Same as mine. Built 9th of September. Still at the factory.

So we ordered a focus st line vignale with diesel engine/auto gear box feb this year . We have so many build dates  . Mid sept we actually had a build date of 26 sept and eta to dealer on the 12 nov . However latest update is now no build date at all ! . On the Ford website new orders are not being given the option of diesel.

Many people have had similar build date changes (for diesel models only) in a German forum. This appears to be the case in other countries as well such as Belgium (based on some comments in said forum). No clue why that's happening though, might be due to environmental law changes or something?
