jackog
Hi When I start my Fiesta from cold it ticks over just fine, but when I press the throttle it makes a strange noise which I can best describe as being between a throaty roar and a metallic rattle! Within a minute or two as the engine warms the intermittent noise vanishes and is not heard again until nest time I startup from cold. Has anyone any ideas? Thanks Gary
ONETrueSaturday
Thats the reason lol..... optimum engine running temp isnt instant when its being started from freezing cold.
jackog
Thanks for your response. Just to clarify when I said starting from cold I did'nt mean freezing. Today the air temperature was about 14° C and it did the same thing. I was thinking maybe exhaust but then why would it not do it all the time? As it heats up it expands and tightens at the fixing points.
