Front Head Restraint Stuck

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a 53 plate Focus Ghia Estate. After a lot of struggling, trying to squeeze both triggers and pull the head restraint up, I got the passenger side restraint out so I could get a long load into the car. But now I can't get it back in at all. I've squeezed the triggers and the arms go in a few millimetres but then no amount of strength or manoeuvring gets it any further down. Is there a trick to this, or could it be that something is bent or broken? Thanks, Andy.

I don't think the front restraints are designed to be taken out. It sounds like you could've broken something getting it out.

On mine there is only a release button on the nearside leg of the front passenger side restraint.

There's a button that sticks out on one socket and another button that is recessed on the other socket. If you press both and pull evenly the restraint comes out, so I must assume it's supposed to. But now it won't go back in!
