Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

I don't like people who drive like halfwits with a "child on board" sign in their car:

Firstly, you think we should all be careful of you because you have a child inside, yet you're not careful of us??

Secondly, if you want to drive like the end of a bell, then do it WITHOUT your kid in the car!

Theoretically Phil, yes if the crown prosecution service deem it appropriate but it's based on personal circumstances, so if they can afford it they probably would, but otherwise I wouldn't get anything.

Agreed Ian, the concept when your driving sensibly of the baby on board sign is good, making people aware any idiocy is likely to injure a baby, but if you drive like a pleb with a baby then you shouldn't have parental rights...

Tailgating:

The other day on the school run I get tailgate by a bus - he was literally inches away. Scarey stuff with something the size of a single decker hopper bus. He had me going 5-10mph for his trouble

This morning I had a motor bike doing it, full beaming me behind as well. So I slowed. He refused to overtake so on the next road ( covered by cctv) I gave him again time to overtake, when he didn't - brake checked him, he quickly overtook then, glancing back. He was tailgating me for about 1/2 a mile prior. As said with his full beam on as well

Tailgating should be punishable in the same way speeding is. It's just as dangerous!

I don't like that the police have got nowhere to go with their investigation ad the victim is refusing to help with their enquiries, and the local CCTV doesn't work! So that's me fixing the scratches and dings were possible and trying to make the most of a bad situation...

What a crock of ****!

The 'victim' is surely aiding a criminal! Fine if he doesn't want to press charges for injuries or whatever, but by not fessing up to whodunit, he's helping the guy get away with it!

Sadly it was a woman who was attacked by a man, I suspect she is too scared of him to say anything... If she changes her mind I could still be in for something but right now it's going nowhere...

Having been previously married to a abusive man I can understand where she is coming from. don't be too hard on her, it takes years to overcome and get away from these people. It's never like 'oh she could get up and leave' with the type of hold these abusers have over their victims. When I eventually had the bottle I moved over 100 miles away from them, and had to cut all ties with a great deal of friends and family :(

Abusers are never like that when you meet them and a lot of time you self convince you can get them back to how they were if only you were to treat them 'right'...

Ah....that makes things a lot more challenging! Although it makes me more annoyed to know some coward is getting away with that! My sister was married to a man that was an emotional leech, and emotionally draining, but luckily he never laid a hand on her like that, otherwise I suspect I'd be in a long line of family members getting questioned....

Disgusting behaviour from the man! Let me guess "I'm sorry love.."...here it comes.."BUT you made me so angry etc". What is the phrase, never spoil an apology with an excuse!

My sisters ex cheated on her for a year and he gave a "sorry, but" excuse!

Weak creatures make me disgusted!

Yeah I am disappointed overall, but I'm not angry. I'm very much understanding the reasons she doesn't want to say anything, though I am annoyed they (sorry... He) made the decision to have put my car in the middle of it. In this case we are both victims, though for me a bit of scratched metal is the much lesser victim, by all accounts this poor woman is in a much worse state than my car.

I hope he gets his comeuppance.

It's awful, that's what makes me angry though, to think that poor woman is in such a state that she can't turn him in, even after what he's done!!

I clown around with my wife to be, firing nerf guns or something daft, I'd feel awful if I hurt her (other than the sting of a well fired nerf dart ) but to use a fist or something and draw blood >.< makes me feel sick!

Yeh hopefully that POS ends up in a cell with some very affectionate, well endowed room mates!

people who give you dirty looks for no reason whilst driving past you who wouldn't dare do it face to face, also when a car nearby beeps and the passengers in my car think it's me that is being beeped at and I have to explain to them that there is no possible reason that I am being beeped at. Some people just beep for no reason, when I look at them they look all awkward, so why the !Removed! do they do it !

I just love having another "batch" of mouth ulcers/sores. I can barely eat or drink anything other than warm tea. Oh, and then getting home from work feeling like death (other health issues) to find a tin of black emulsion has spilled on the bathroom floor.

Just another day in paradise, eh?

Jmurray...hi fella..I remember my dad having a bad bout of mouth ulcers...it was either from the meds for his past heart attacks, or a knock on effect from the diabetes...put your feet up fella, maybe wangle yourself a early weekend...your health is a priority fella don't work to hard...:)

I'll be honest, there have been times in some cars, (don't think the focus) where I've beeped by accident due to putting pressure as I turn with 1 hand... Totally accidental and probably gets people wondering...

I've done that before - smiled and waved as though it was someone I knew

Mate of mine used to do that in purpose for pure amusement lol

Days like today, I hate them. You know the days, where everything goes wrong and even when you make progress being stuck on something it's just going the wrong way, my computer is being a !Removed! dropping, my testing is failing, my head is pounding and between pain and chest infection I have just had my fill!

Everyone should of course follow their own advice before passing it onto others and I don't always do this, but try and find at least 1 positive about your day, focus on that. I have found more recently in my life that I have become a creature of habit and that is to focus on negatives. Eventually you get so caught up in negative things that it starts to become normal.

You might be a typically positive person, who is just venting on here, so apologies if that is the case. I just found that I've really started to focus on positives or try and find positives. My partner and I play a game where if there is a bad situation we have to find a positive in it... It doesn't always work, might be too angry about it. But we generally find that when it does work, the world feels better..

...I amaze myself with my own spirituality

People who pull out in front of you then hit the brakes right away and bimble along at ludicrously low speed, only to take the next left......imbeciles who try to get through non existent gaps in traffic and take your door mirror off, then shout and swear it is your fault when you approach them about it, and then worst of all, call the police on you after you chin them for calling me a Cee U Next Tuesday, and my Mrs a !Removed!.........so I chinned the twerp again lol...... I digress, taxi drivers who fly along the road whilst yaking on their phone, then slam on in front of you for absolutely no reason whatsoever......

Aviation fuel.

Diesel/F76 isn't far behind...

What I don't like, I bought my daughter a brand new hollister jacket for 80 pound, suits her just lovely but the little mare has already outgrown it - it's a ladies size medium and she's only 11...

I'll probably get her a jack wills one this afternoon *shrugs*

Flog it on ebay

I was going to

It's a really nice jacket, she had a super dry one last year with all the zips and quickly got annoyed with it for the same reason.

I'm currently toying with going to hollister again (as they're cheaper), or using jack wills. Hollister is 30 odd miles away in brissle, nearest jack wills is 18-20 miles away in Cheltenham...
