Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

I tried to run one mile yesterday and like you Chris I almost died too...

Never really realised just how ridiculously out of shape I was. I'm a skinny so and so, I recon I don't have enough muscle on my bones to do anything more than push the stop and go pedals lol

I've only got about 1.5" on you - but I'm twice your weight!! (Almost - about 100kg)

Used to be able to run/jog a mile and a half lol

51kg is about 8.03 stone . . . & you're 6ft tall ?

Seriously undernourished

I'm just skinny and a bit fussy with my food, I'm healthy enough.

I'll fill out once I've stopped growing haha

I'm 9 stone and 5 foot 6...took me about 4 years to move from my former weight of 8 stone 10

It can actually be difficult to put on weight. I've been trying for the last 2 years and only put on 10 KG. Most of that is because I've got taller.

Right where to start with this one.

  • People who do 50 in a NSL then proceed to do 50 in a 30-40 zone. JUST BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T SPEED THEN DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN SPEED NOW. Gahhh I can't think of enough insults for these drivers
  • Majority of german car drivers. Feel sorry for the BMW man who has to fit indicators for his job.
  • BT-internet is naff
  • Muller wiseman tankers
  • The fact Samco never seem to do hoses for any car I have ever owned
  • Modern technology problems. E.G Phone reception.
  • Fire service not taking on wholetime so I can get out of farming
  • Cows that kick when your trying to milk
  • People not using their manners
  • My generation (aged between 16-25)
  • Modern 'fashion' if that's what you can call it
  • women moaning, 'oh all men are the same'
  • My daughter saying what all the time, when I've told her to say pardon
  • The euro millions not holding up their end of the deal
  • Politicians
  • Build quality on my Focus
  • MPG on my Focus
  • Boy racers who slam their cars to the deck and think they are so cool. No mate you look stupid
  • Anybody with a better car than me(jealousy)
  • Many more I could write not going to

Your first point really gets on my nerves too Matt.

I will never understand their thought process. It's like "oh, look at me driving under the speed limit and being a good driver" and then they go past a 30 sign (or even more worrying, a flashing 20 school sign!) and DO NOT SLOW DOWN.

Absolute IDIOTS.

I do 56 on a motorway, I tend to sit behind a lorry or just cruise the inside lane. It adds up to very good fuel economy and is much less stressful.

Whenever I hit motorways I'm generally going somewhere long, so 2-3 miles so driving near 20mph below just can't do it for me...

Yep couldn't agree more, It adds up to making other people reckless and causing accidents, fair enough on the motorway like James said, it adds up to fuel economy + there is plenty of room to overtake etc. I suppose it annoys me more, because first time I did my test I got 4 minors and 1 major, what was the major?? Going 55 in a NSL. 2nd time I got 2 minors and got told what a comfortable drive it was

Yeah the country pane hogs as I like to call them are the worst. As you say inconsistent speed everywhere. The worst I have had was someone leading myself in a long tailback at 35 miles everywhere down the a roads for 15 miles. Seriously annoying as the other side was busy none of us could overtake.

Can't say I've had one that bad lol, I usually get them when i've just come off the decent bits of the A53 or A41 and I can't overtake anywhere. This is the reason I don't like wiseman tankers. They do 40 and won't pull over, which irritates me as when I'm in the tractor I pull over for traffic and they don't but usually I have nothing behind me then these turn up, overtake and I'm left with a mile of traffic

I started doing this recently, but now I've switched to just doing about 60 because I heard some lorry drivers get annoyed by cars sitting behind them. Maybe I was following them too close, but I couldn't see much in front of the lorry and one of them switched lanes and then back again, probably checking if I was still behind him haha. I agree about it being less stressful though, in a car that doesn't have the best sound insulation it makes a big difference slowing down a bit.

Yeah I agree, if I'm doing a long journey I'll do 70 the whole way. But on a 1 hour journey doing 60 instead only costs a few minutes, and can save a few £ in fuel over a weekend.

Where's the fun in that though? ;)

Exactly Haldon hill at an appropriate speed is boring as ****.....

I would suggest the M6, but its impossible to get to an appropriate speed due to all the nice & pretty roadworks. Not that you see anybody actually doing any work

Agreed, Haldon hill is a royal pain.

Going up it today heading to Exeter dropping Madam to the airport.

Only good thing about it is Route 5 at the top for a fatboys breakfast :d

So far our of this tank I have got 580 miles though I'm down to 8% fuel. Last time I had a heavy foot through the tank of fuel I got 430 miles. Sadly, Boring driving saves me at least 150 miles and when your trying to live strictly to a budget, it definitely helps. Especially when you have a few quid left out your fuel allocation as it all helps towards little extras

I managed to do something incredibly silly yesterday involving a pair of pliers, a stuck drill bit and my finger.

I had a massive blood wheel right on the joint (inside) of my index finger that eventually popped. Felt fine yesterday. This morning it hurts like hell!!

I'm such an idiot at times

I love Haldon hill when it's clear! It's an awesome stretch! Hmm never tried brekkie there! Haha

I don't like slow c u next Tuesdays, when I'm in a hurry. 20mph in a 30 zone, 30 in a 50, etc are not acceptable. Neither is stopping at a roundabout when there's f all coming, or slowing at the lights so the red catches me :angry:

I also don't like that we're apparently to feel sorry and pity for those two complete !REMOVED! who drove at 90 in a 30 zone while high on drugs (allegedly). Sheer LUCK the !REMOVED! never took out an innocent party! Driving like that is only going to end one way - sooner or later

I totally agree, I might not go as far as saying they got what the deserved, buy they certainly played the ultimate price for such foolish actions.

Luckily the only casualties were them, a Clio and a wall. Could've been worse.
