I don’t like selling our RS yesterday 😢, will certainly be missed.

I also don’t like feeling bored with uni, have struggled to find motivation to go over the last few weeks. Hoping reading week will rest me up and I’ll be ready to go again.

Whyd you sell the RS 😭

I think that's a normal phase in uni. I believe I felt like that a few times back when I was doing my degree. Try not to let that put you off working.

What I dont like or feel paranoid about is how people in my class in my postgraduate course has made their friends group and I feel like I'm left out. I'm probably over thinking it as one of my friends I talk to and sit with in class and messages me about work but seems like the girls group have put him in their group chat. Saying that though I try to ignore this social issue and believe others in the class might be the same. Its only 1 year with different classes plus after Easter I don't think anyone will be seeing each other as we'll be doing our dissertations then

Dad needed something which gets better MPG and more comfortable, as his job requires a lot of travelling.

Glad you’ve felt the same way, and it’s not just me. I also worry because I don’t attend a super prestigious uni (it’s good for my course though) and always feel like people judge me just because I’m not at a Russell group and worry about future job prospects. All par for the course though I think.

Who exactly judges you? To be honest and I'm a good example, if you choose to go onto doing a postgraduate course in a top university don't get put off what uni your from or grades you get. I went to a decent uni, did a biomedical science degree and now going to a well known University now doing infection and immunity. Most of the people in my course got a upper second class degree and got in so it's not impossible.

I did a btec in applied science (no A levels) and managed to get in.

I will be honest with these top unis the mentally of people are different compared to 'average' ranked ones. In my current course I like to joke about but people think I'm literally saying it to them 😂. I've also noticed a little bit of a racial and gender segregation in my class. Honestly found my previous university better in terms of socialising

I will say also best to finish your course and get a degree. One of my cousins did computer science in Westminster University, dropped out in his second year and is only working in a stationery shop. The guy also was messing around with a girl back in school who he is now going to marry later this year. The girl finished her teaching degree and going onto further education whilst he's working with no degree. Just think how they might have a some struggle when they have to save for a property but I can't say.

Degrees help open up doors 👍

Comfort & mpg ftw!!

What's he going for then?

I sat in my dad's volvo yesterday and was really blown away with how comfy it is in terms of the seats and suspension. Really is an eye opener compared to my sporty stiff fiesta

Don't get any ideas - you're far to young for a Volvo!

Think I'm going to get a volvo later in life but at the moment if I get a decent job I'd love to save for a sporty car

He’s got a diesel Jeep thingy at the moment, seems very comfy and auto as well which is good for him.

Just back from Birmingham where I had a bit of business to attend to - hired a car from the airport and booked Merc C Class or similar.
They gave me a BMW 320d, which was nice and all except that it was white - I hate a white car!

Also the sat nav in the BMW is utterly terrible. Makes sync-whatever it is look amazing.

Wedding on Saturday...

...mine...

(Only kidding - should be in the Things I DO like thread - just not as amusing 😁)

replaced 32 diesel injectors yesterday. bored of doing them now. but at least ive got the time to do each set of 4 from the book time of 2.3 hrs down to 39 minutes including programming and reseting learnt values etc.

Is there a recall, for that many in one day?

Or just some sort of fleet service job.

Wow, were they all for the same model engine? :surprise:

recall, the ecoblue diesel, cant even guess how many ive done now , been at it since around oct .

What's the recall reason mate?  I'm assuming it's can't be something trivial for Ford to be covering the cost (labour and parts) for replacing all the injectors on an engine for xxx number of vehicles.  After all, we've seen recently how reluctant Ford UK are to issue a formal recall with the MK5 aluminium steering bolts issue.

ford wont be paying, the injector manufacturer will ultimately be paying the bill .

At least its a newer engine so must probably not be difficult to remove. I remember on my car it took time removing each injector as there was crud along the sides of them

yeah, they slide out easy esp as most only done 10 miles. worked out ive probably done in  excess of 1200 injectors and theres 3 of us doing them .

I don't like that my 2010 mk2.5 ford focus calendar only goes up as far as 2015 🤷‍♂️

I was setting it today after having the alternator changed and realised it won't go past 2015 🙆‍♂️

Doesn't matter much in terms of visual because I've fitted an aftermarket headunit; only the time is displayed on the screen between the dials.

My main interest is why did ford limit the calendar to the year 2015 🤷‍♂️ are they suggesting it wouldn't last longer than five years,

As said though; although the car records the date and time; it only displays the time as I dont have a 6000CD headunit anymore to display the date,

And my aftermarket pioneer headunit displays the current date.

🤯 perhaps its because mine is a 1.6TDCi model 😂

I want to upload a YouTube video now to show you mine scrolling from 2005-2015 but no higher as it goes back to 2005 again,

I'll video and upload later as I'm just home from work and been awake since 1pm yesterday evening working on a side line project to make some things easier in work,

I'm absolutely exhausted 😔 seriously I've just blacked out for a moment there when searching for the sleep emoji and becoming difficult to tap on the phone to type.

@Lenny That's standard on all Mk2.5 headunits...  You have to set it to 23:59 on 31/12/15 and wait for it to roll over to the new year...then you can set it higher.  I have no idea why it does that, but that's the answer!!

Thanks hopefully don't blow my turbo 🥳
