When we bought our previous Focus the Mk3 was 6 months old and 3k on the clock. It was on the Forecourt at £10 500 ....test drove it etc etc and agreed a part ex figure, all ok until he went through the final figures but had the car we was buying at £12 900.

We pointed out that the figure was incorrect ( Wife took photo prior to enquiring about it) he sent a salesman out to car, removed for sale sign/price and the told us it was a mistake and the car was removed from sale.

We got up and left.

Put a complaint into Evan's Halshall head office and came to an agreement to purchase the car at the original asking price and a full apology from the manager.

That's the only time I've ever had any issues buying cars.

Since I tried sorting out a new electric car on lease, my Mondeo hasn't missed a beat. Was stalling and non starter at least 5 journeys a week.

No need for more batteries with an extended range car. I thought extended range was a longer extension lead??

Being supplied with the wrong QR codes and the wrong app to get a security camera up and running

Spent over an hour n half faffing around with QR codes ( 4 of them within its own packaging) and the app suggested within the instructions directs you to another 3rd party app that has nothing to do with the camera at all 🙄

Now sorted and up and running within ten minutes after a quick google. Just need to find the correct place to put it up outside along side with the solar charger once the rain stops.

Lad from work who been ill all last week finally tested positive via PCR and now off work. He should have been part of skeleton staff tommorow, Thurs and Fri morning.

No one else on holiday has offered to go in and replace him. So I've volunteered to go in if required. I'm hoping I don't have to go in , but I will earn some serious brownie points for offering.

Never go the extra mile at work. I used to ferry work stuff in my personal vehicle between sites. I lived near to one of the sites which wasn't my work site. When I decided to leave, no one even thanked me for helping out over the years, thereby saving the company money in courier costs.

B*******s

I don't like having to bump start the Focus this morning! 😞

A 5 minute drive in the morning to work and the same at night with lights on and demister etc and then 4 days without being used over Christmas has taken its toll.

Hopefully with it being on charge now will help it 🤞

I'm considering buying a Noco jump starter myself...  Was hoping the price would drop between Xmas & NY but it hasn't.  Was down to £65 from £99 a few months ago.  Now wondering if the price will drop in January...I'm not paying full price for one!

This is my cue to suggest the Maypole charger once again LOL Feature rich, and charges the battery, and won't break the bank, what more can you want??

Ours was reading 11.9v via Forscan this morning so ended up driving to Aldi at the other end of town today and had it ticking over whilst the OH did the shopping.

Our nearest Aldi is 0.4 miles away 😆

I bought one a few months ago lol...  It's way too slow and too awkward to use in a communal car park from an upstairs flat.  A jump starter suits my situation better.  Horses for courses.

A 2nd recommendation here too for the Maypole......

To be fair, when I 1st started using it on my Focus, it took around 6 - 7 hours for a full charge, but I do it every other month now and it never takes more than an hour to fully charge.

Still too much hassle for my circumstances though.

I also like the idea of keeping a jump starter in the car for if the battery fails away from home.  Though equally don't like the idea of keeping a potential fire hazard in the car permanently...

I can see the advantage to that, but.......it would also have to be close enough to a socket, and my old Focus is relegated to the road in favour of 3 newer Fords 🙄 😀 son's ST is in my space just now while I'm charging up the Focus and he's not too happy about it! 😀

Plenty of alternatives if your on a budget....

Goldge do one at around £45 someone at work has one and uses it regular. Charges via plug socket or USB, once charged keeps it in boot and always started his car once connected.

Bought a Noco gb70 must be 3-4years ago. Everyone at work used it at least 3 times a day for jump starting transits / customs etc. But in the last 6 months I've removed it and sat in boot of my car fully charged .still as good as new .
