Now that is a sign of 'distress'... Is NATO simply asking for more money?? 😂

Ah, could be an Australian navy vessel , long way from home. .

Again fighting with technology. Theres been some issues in my area so gone down the route of CCTV. Do you think i can get it to connect to my phone, can i hekkers like. Theyre just not connecting. My daughter can connect then i have to piggyback in.  GNCC K1pro camera all bells and whistles, Redmi Note 12 pro. had to contact GNCC awaiting a response.

Have you set up viewing on your laptop yet ?

I've set up remote viewing on mobile phones and often the problem is if you try to set it up while the phone is connected to the same WiFi network as the cameras then it fails to set up the correct ports.

Uninstall the app. Reboot your phone and then download the app (again). Turn off your phones Wifi so that it has to connect via your network provider. Then open the app and try setting it up again for your cameras. Once it is working as it should you can turn the WiFi back on again.

Ta muchly squire, will have a bash tomorrow.

It has 2 options to connect , one of those Q code things or connect via hotspot, currently both fail.

I've set up a 2.4mhz guest channel for CCTV so will try that aswell

phone has gone back to CEX, it developed other issues, cuurently have a new to me S21 on charge

So, you remember that I was trying to get Trust Ford to sort the repairs out to my car which was agreed the day I collected the car.
Yesterday I chased them up (again) by actually going into the dealership and speaking to the sales rep who sold me the car.
I told him I'd had enough and 5 months was a ridiculous amount of time to be trying to sort the issues out.
He agreed and we went round to the service dept to try and arrange a date to get the items done.
I also told him that if nothing was done within the next week that I'd approach trading standards and tell them what's been going on.
He blamed the service dept for not contacting me but servicing blamed him as the car couldn't be booked in by the sales rep and servicing didn't want to know, even though used car sales were paying for the parts and rectification of defects.

One of the issues has been sorted now. The parcel shelf the car didn't have has been put in (taken from another vehicle).

Hopefully these 3 issues will get sorted next week now.

1) O/S mirror indicator lens cracked and letting in water/condensation
2) 2nd key fob not registering to the car and not working
3) O/S rear skirt trim not attached to the car bodywork (double sided tape hasn't stuck).

Obviously my car is so quiet inside, when in  Traffic in town crawling along  all I could hear was a vw golf or polo behind me with stop start working all the time( yes was working!! Must have a good charged up battery) . But the starter motor sounded like it was about to destroy it's self. What a racket it was!

Disturbing my sleep in the queues of traffic.

I guess that's how you knew it wasn't a Ford 🤣

Yep, VW know how to make stop start work but not how to make a starter durable.

I don't like being told yesterday morning that next week I'm on an ADR (dangerous goods) course 😔

4 day course and 1 day of tests/exams.

4 days added to my penultimate CPC. I think these 4 days take me over the 5 days required so hopefully they'll count for the next one 🤞 probably not though 🙄

Edit: No, they don't carry forward! 2 days wasted then 🙄

My company told me and a workmate they were gonna pay for our CPC's. Months have passed and we've constantly asked questions but still no sign of us doing our CPS's. Oh well they'll be down 2 drivers 24th September if they don't pull there fingers out.

I'm guessing that post makes alot of sense to those that know what a CPC is 🤣

Certificate of Professional Competence

People driving recovery vehicles with poor braking that do this, causing your pride and joy to be scrapped as BER. Damage to car 10, damage to occupants nil!

Driving without due care and attention. The driver should get points on his licence and a fine if reported to police.
In other countries, it's an automatic fine and points/demerits for an offence known as following to closely aka tailgating.

This is precisely why I have front and rear dash cams. It helps to prove who was at fault (even though in this case it's clearly the truck driver).

Going for a set of bloods and they find the otherside of the vein. Ouchie

We got 3 nurses to take bloods at our surgery.  one is known as the butcher . With her it allways painfull and bruising after.

Well today marked the last time I had to visit the dealership to have the repairs done to my car that were promised 5 and a half months ago.
Unfortunately, things didn't go according to plan.

Arrived 9:20 and booked in. The car was promptly taken into the workshop.
About an hour and a half later, I was told the car was done and handed my key.
I walked back out to where my car was parked and had a look round.
Well, the O/S side mirror surround had been replaced, however, the O/S under trim (side skirt) was still hanging off and had not been done. I then also discovered some paintwork damage on the O/S rear door.
I went back in and told them that the work hadn't been done as noted and that there was also paintwork damage.

After a short while, a young lad was seen beside my car with a tube of sealant to fix the skirt back in place.
Then someone from the bodyshop came out to look at the paintwork and was adamant it was old damage and could only have been caused by the seatbelt being trapped in the door. Now I know it wasn't me that had done this because I'm small enough for the seatbelt to fully retract when undone. I also don't open the car door before undoing the seatbelt so it was another fob off from them. They stated that their techs don't use the seatbelts when taking customer vehicles from the car park into the workshop.

As a good will gesture, they did take the car into the bodyshop, wash it down and buff/polish the affected area. It's better but not perfect and will need a repaint (which I will end up having to get done through my paint protection plan).

Who are these comedians, so the rest of us can steer clear?😀
