I do like Facebook memories...would have forgotten about half my fails without that! :whistling:

8 years ago today I had a horrible 106 with a knackered driveshaft seized in the hub which I was trying to remove in torrential rain.  Left it over night, the axle stands sunk into the drive and it fell off...whoops!  Good job it wasn't anything decent!  Don't use axle stands on loose ground, guys.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I do also like a late-night bacon sandwich!  Good quality white bread, spread with real butter and bacon fried in oil.  Doesn't get much more unhealthy than that, but nor does it get much better tasting!! :wink3:

Just gone 1:30am and I must not cook that leftover bacon!! Tomorrow's brunch though 😄.

I’m glad I wasn’t awake last night to see that or I would have been up and cooking bacon! Got some in the fridge actually....

I’ve currently lost more than 2 stone since the start of the year - most of that is from not drinking for 3 months but also from not eating random things late at night like bacon sandwiches!

Just about to make toasted muffins with bacon & poached eggs for myself and wifey after our night shifts. [emoji39]

I probably just ripped it off and binned it!

Hmm, so it looks like I should start drinking alcohol and eating bacon late at night to gain weight? :g:  Sounds like the ideal diet for Ramadan...

Sadly bacon is something I can't eat though, anything greasy just runs straight through...  So from around 2006 that's meant no fried bacon, no battered fish, no chip shop chips, no KFC, no fried bread/mushrooms/eggs...then a couple of years back I stopped being able to eat fresh pizza as well as it's too cheesy.  Maybe I'm suddenly realising why I can't put weight on!!

On that note, lockdown should be the ideal time to gain weight...so any ideas for something high in calories, but low in 'bulk' (so no extra sh*t) and moderate fat (so not greasy)...?  I'm guessing that pretty much only leaves sugar, which I try to avoid too! 🤦‍♂️

Good fats which are non greasy - eggs, avocados, more eggs. Eggs. Loads of eggs.

If you generally struggle to put on weight (ectomorphic body type by the sounds of it), then you will need to ramp up the carbs massively in order to put on anything. Potatoes, rice, and even pasta would be good. Keep it balanced with decent protein intake as well. If you can't eat enough chicken and eggs to get up to about 150g of protein a day, then supplement. But preference should be getting protein from food.

As a Millennial, I'm ashamed to say I don't like Avocado's.

It's more calories I need rather than protein though, I'm not looking to put on muscle and excess protein causes pretty bad IBS issues. 55g is my recommended allowance...though as they couldn't spell my name right and got half of the stuff on the diet sheet wrong, I'm not sure how much trust I put in the food diary analysis lol!  As a result of that, I'm meant to be drinking a 200 calorie supplement each day but it tasted horrific, had the consistency of wet brick dust and was mixed with milk which I can't drink anyway - I can only assume I'm slightly lactose intolerant as I can get away with hard cheese and thick Greek yogurt but not soft cheese or milkshake.  Apart from that, the advice from the dietician was genuinely to eat more cake and biscuits!  That's more bulk though, and the whole point of visiting the dietician in the first place was because too much is coming out...even my non medical brain can work out I need to reduce the input in order to reduce the output...  She didn't care, was only interested in my weight, and not the fact I spend most of the day in the bathroom.  Though I've since read that dieticians only really have 2 jobs, to tell fat people to eat less cake, and to tell thin people to eat more cake!

I live on carbs so am surprised I don't put more weight on, buttered toast or museli/granola for breakfast, cheese sandwich for lunch, chips, roasts, waffles, etc for dinner.  I generally have a bit of fish, chicken or ham for dinner but would like to cut that out if I could replace those calories with something else.  Meat causes huge OCD issues and it's getting worse/more difficult to eat it, well anything that needs to be cooked or could go off does.  It has spiralled since lockdown too, I'm always scared of getting ill from food, but I'm terrified of needing a hospital visit during corona...have ended up throwing away a lot of food since lockdown started which I hate doing.  Honestly if I could live off toast I would!

That's really good.  I lost 2 stone myself last year and another 7lbs this year but with the lock down my drinking has actually increased and so has my eating, although I have managed to control that a bit more over the last couple of weeks (last night's bacon sandwich notwithstanding!).

I do like that the weedkiller I bought yesterday from B&Q and sprayed last night has killed all the leaves already!  Will be able to sweep them away today with my wire brush.  I'm sure they will reappear soon but at least this buys me some time and gives me a few days of thinking "hey my garden is weed free!" :thumbup1:

Just seen someone I went to school with on the local news.  Wouldn't have recognised him without the name tag! Doesn't seem all that long ago until you see how other people have aged.  At least he's managed to hold on to his hair though!:laugh:

I bumped into, well not exactly. I saw someone I worked with nearly 40 years from a 2 metre distance and we both recognised  each other. I lost my hair and he lost weight and a beard.

As I'm bored at home alot, I've been looking on autotrader for a motor bike. If this lockdown goes on much longer im going to end up buying one!!

Just been looking for my old biking jacket and found it. Think it's shrunk a bit since I wore it last time. Trying to remember when I last rode a bike. Mmm, oh, it was a long time ago. 2003 I think.

I do like getting the front garden pretty much sorted today.  Got my plant pots sorted and also planted shrubs and bulbs, so the rain that's due for tomorrow is actually welcome for a change!

Ah, the old "It shrunk" excuse.
As soon as I put anything in my wardrobe it instantly shrinks [emoji6].

Alot have shrunk recently. I blame the virus.

But I can't believe it's been 17years since I rode a motorbike. Time fly's when when your recuperating financially from a divorce back then.

I am starting to come into realisation how people I've grown up with are moving on now. 2 friends I know from secondary school are both married and with children. Don't want to be rude but they weren't like the popular people back then but just shows where they are now. That girl I liked probably is married also to someone in her family. I never saw her with a guy in college so that makes me a little happy. Saw her 2 years ago when driving out my road and she had the biggest smile I've ever seen her had when she saw me. Obviously heartbroken about it but moving on.

@iantt think this may be good for you to know too but I will say heartbreak can really benefit people which has really changed me for the good. I saw this Ted talk video about the benefits of heartbreak and it really helped me. Will Smith for example his girlfriend cheated on him when he was 16. That made him more confident to do things and actually made him to what he is today. Other famous people like Adele and Shakespeare wouldn't have got to where they were now because of heartbreak.

With me I've noticed I've become more confident, increased my self respect and person appearance and hopefully more focused on my career life. Sometimes I feel really happy weirdly with life as I don't have to chase after, worry or get insecure about a girl. Only thing now is I really want this relapse feeling of anger and upset to go away then ill be happy.

@TomsFocus your not celebrating Ramadan are you now 😂? At 1am  mmade myself a fish finger burger and had with a muller yogurt and protein shake. Still keeping up with my workouts which I do not long after sunset when I can break my fast.

Do really want to get these headlights for the car but they are out of stock at the moment. Hopefully they'll get more stock in. Need to see if dad let's me keep the car and I can put myself as a named driver on my sister's car to use if I will go into the ULEZ zone next year October.

Haha, no not taking part myself!

I used to be able to go all day without food but can't anymore.  I'm surprised you've still got the energy to do a workout by the end of the day!!  Are you eating 'breakfast' before sunrise or just having that 1 meal around midnight?

Those lights look cool, my mate had a set on his until he rear ended someone and had to put standard ones back on lol.

So we break our fast at sunset then late night have a 'breakfast' to at least have something from sunrise to sunset.

There's a YouTuber I watch who has some bola b1s on his ST which he's planning on selling. If I do keep the car ill likely get those. Would I have to worry about 17s on my zetec s? He's thinking of getting two of them refurbed before selling them. Hope I can keep my fez this year and get those headlights and wheels. Just hope I'm not making a mistake buying those stuff though I have spare money saved up which I'll keep to the side so when I start working I can keep my savings towards a property.

Ah, I see.

17s should be fine on the Zetec S.  You might just have to get rack limiters to stop the wheels turning in too far on full lock.  They're cheap and easy to fit if needed though.

The good thing about aftermarket parts, especially alloys, is that they're always in demand.  So as long as you keep the originals stored, you can always go back to standard to sell the car and get most of the money back from selling the mods separately too.

Made this pretty little order with Autobeam today. Hopefully the sequential indicators will be back in stock soon for me to purchase as well!

I do like having a somewhat relaxing Sunday, now listening to Roger Whittaker and having a glass of red...
