I'm genuinely trying to work out whether my pants count as lightly soiled!

I seriously doubt they're as soiled as the pants of those paragliders I just mentioned!😀

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Do they pass the sock test ? throw them at the wall if they dont stick they're still good.

There ain't arf some S H I T on this forum of late 🤣

Excellent service on an order of caravan cleaner from Tayna batteries*- order placed yesterday afternoon, delivered this morning by Royal Mail within the 2 hour slot advised, so well done to them too.

(* Tend to think of them as batteries only, but they stock all sorts of stuff!)

I do like watching Paul Heaton at Glastonbury on the iPlayer earlier.

A down to earth, humble man who can sing live. Compared to Shania Twain who couldn't seem to hold a tune today, he blew her out of the park!

No YouTube videos up yet to link 😀

Can't disagree with that!

Wasn't he a member on here a few years ago?

I was looking forward to seeing Shania Twain's set but completely missed it somehow.  I thought the Legends slot was on at Sunday teatime but there was no Glasto at all at 6pm when I switched the TV on!  (I was not impressed!)

Must admit I didn't see much Glasto this year.  I did like Dua Lipa.  Went into her headline not being able to name a single track of hers...then realised I knew every song from the first half hour of the set!  Also liked Bloc Party & Kasabian.  And was surprised by how much I liked Orbital's set.  I seem to be more tolerant of repetitive trance as I've got older, used to get bored after a few minutes.  Though I also noticed it was mostly middle aged men in the audience there, presumably remembering the days of raving in a random field in the early 90's.  They also had a guest appearance of Mel C which went down very well!

Pretty sure the legends slot usually finishes Glastonbury ie as Elton John did last year. This year it was SZA I think closed it.

I'm sure you'll still be able to catch Shania Twain on the iPlayer..........if you really want to, I wasn't that impressed with her show. If fact you could say "That Don't Impress Me Much!" 😀 I'll get my coat.

Must agree Shania was awful, Coldplay and Paul Heaton were the highlights and dont get me started on SZA what the hell was that ?

Elton was a proper headliner last year.  It's definitely done in the daylight normally.  I though Rick Astley did the Legends slot as I did see that, but I've just checked and it was Cat Stephens, who I don't remember seeing, so perhaps my timings were out by an hour or two.

It's not the same on iPlayer, I could just watch the proper videos on Youtube.

Isn't what they show on iPlayer exactly what they showed live? Maybe without the odd swear word right enough but in Paul Heaton's slot you definitely heard the crowd singing the uncensored version of "Don't Marry Her" 😲😀

Yes but I sort of felt like I was there when watching it live on TV.  The moment has passed now so I could just watch any old video online.

Just had to Google who Paul Heaton is as I thought 'Don't Marry Her' was by Beautiful South... 🤦‍♂️

If I'd known it was Beautiful South tracks I would have probably watched.  I've totally confused him with someone else!

He did some Housemartins stuff as well 😀 Fatboy Slim came on for one song cos he was in The Housemartins with Paul Heaton 😀

I do like the indoor temp finally dropping below 25c.  Will have to make the most of it before the next heatwave!

Also got the Cardle in one today - fairly sure Stephen will get it as well. Cardle | A Daily Car Quiz

Number plate fell off?

And a boy racer exhaust?

I opened a pack of large cookies last night and got a nice surprise.

Little wonder that Asda profits are falling and the share holders are on the bread line, sorry cookie line 🤣

Oat & raisin?  That's a round flapjack.  A cookie should have some chocolate in it!

Very nice Flap Jack! I buy them as I convince myself they should have less sugar in them than the double chocolate ones. I've not looked at the actual values on each to find out.

Ah, I can't stand double chocolate myself.  In fact, I don't like chocolate on it's own at all.  But a few chocolate chunks in a plain cookie base is the ideal ratio for me.

It's often surprising how much sugar is in the 'healthy' options.  If you like them, probably best not to look!
