Didn't know that. Just checked and there nightly rates are good too. Drunk in the bar for a tenner then slump into a cheap bed. Winner winner.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Stayed at the one in Inverness a few years ago, no complaints apart from the gulls nesting outside the window!

Yep, and prices are good too. Even in the hotel it's €2.90(£2.40) a pint of lager. The Cointreau was €4 (£3.40) paying via a chipped wristband. We were given bands with €40 for free then load up as required. With this method there's no tipping by the looks of it.

Nothing stopping you from leaving something on the bar before you leave 😉

Yeah, I often leave my empty glass on the bar to help with the clearing up....😀

We are tonight, saw a tip jar at the bar this evening.

Just picked up the Mrs's car from its annual service and MoT. 8th pass in a row with no advisories - but it's not a Ford (Seat Mii).

She only does about 1500 miles a year mind, but it's all very short journeys which in my experience is often harder on a car than motorway miles, so quite happy with that.

Only replacements so far in 10 years (other than oil, filters and plugs) are a cambelt and a DRL bulb. Still on the original 12v and key fob batteries.

My partners vauxhall Adam did less than 2000 miles this year. Passed MOT a few weeks ago. Not bothered servicing it yet. But she doing up to 2000 miles a month in my car instead!!!

Did you hear the one about the Electric Ferry...? 🤣

100m?? They just need a length of extension cord to plug in, that'll sort it out 🤣

You see, they just need to think outside the box. You could become the next Mayor 👍

mmm... do I get a clothing allowance to buy some snazzy suits?? 😂

Electric ferries are not a new invention. Plenty of countries now use electric ferries, larger than the dismal excuse of a ferry shown. Slightly different transport but Birmingham airport now trialling electric buses that operate I'm guessing  24/7 driving around the carparks . Recharges when offloading passengers at the terminal. Saw it in operation . Connects to overhead electric charge point

Sitting in Wetherspoons Saturday morning, breakfast for 2, £8.40, can't beat it 😁

Hope our ones work better!!! 😳

To be honest, I can't think that it will, but then again with a long enough extension lead anything is possible 🤣

mebbee try a clockwork motor ???????

I do like the determination shown by a guy who turned up this afternoon to collect three old suitcases I'd put on our local Freecycle site. They were all at least 30"x20"x10" and he turned up on a bike! Perhaps that's why it's called Freecycle!😀

Like the guy who turned up on a bike to take away a 2 seater sofa from our house. Was funny seeing him figure it out.

I do like searching for something in a kitchen cupboard and discovering a long forgotten box of 5 x Cadbury creme eggs. Yes, 5 months past their best before date, but after just eating one, I can confirm still very delicious!

Aren't they basically pure sugar?  Ideal for a diabetic...  I never could tolerate them, even as a kid.

LOL, I'm not a very good diabetic! I'll only eat one every week or two, but hey, if we can't indulge in the odd treat, what's the point... Sometimes I do wish I couldn't tolerate them either! 😂

my treat is a monthly kebab with extra salad, tho i may need to stop that. Ive to go for the both ends camera end of the month as my iron levels have flatlined.
