SirKit Breaker
I have snapped a few cambelts over the years and well within the recommended time/ mileage intervals. I personally wouldn't go much over 70K or 5 years without it being replaced irrespective of who says what. It is a lot more convenient and cost effective to have it replaced then have it snap and wreck your engine. My logic rightly or wrongly with this is, One very expensive piece of machinery held together with a rubber band, and this rubber band has done a lot of revolutions under tension at high speed for long enough after 70K or 5 years. Just my humble opinion though, and i expect to be disagreed with. Cheers..........Howard
tommy.h
Hi klouise are you sure it is a timing belt and not chain? they do make this model with both. may be worth getting checked! tom
