Lenny
Nice, make sure and get some pics up when they're on. I'll be getting pics up this weekend of my new spoiler :) and clean car providing the rain/hail/sleet/snow stays away ! Sent from my iPhone 5s. Santa beat me up then stole my wallet in the waiting area of A&E at Hospital Highly recommend using some bathroom silicone around the bolt and clip holes on the boot panel before fitting the st spoiler, A common problem is leaks in this area, So applying silicone is preventative maintenance, Any colour will do as it won't be saw, i done mine at the time too.

Funny you mention that, I actually noticed damp on the surface of the boot carpet yesterday, I think there's water getting in from the seam where the trim on the actual boot lid is, near the hinges. I shall silicone it to death. Spoiler should be arriving today, excited ! Sent from my iPhone 5s.
kpg
Got the spoiler Thursday lunchtime and fitted it within 20mins. Really transforms the rear end of the car. I haven't had a chance to sort out the high level brake light because of the weather, nor have I taken pics for the simple fact that my car is minging ! Hopefully I'll give it a scrub tomorrow between showers. Sent from my iPhone 5s.

kpg
Well Christmas was fun. How'd you all get on? Finally got the brake light on the spoiler sorted so alls looking and working well. I even added a couple tasteful stickers: Star Wars Imperials Emblem on one side and Boba Fett Logo on the other. Haven't got pics of them yet cause it's dark now. BIG NEWS ! Yep. I bit the bullet and bought an Eonon GM5126E on Christmas Day. Was delivered today around 1ish so spent most of the day wiring up and fitting in. Like most people have already said, there's very limited space in the dash behind the HU but with a bit of patience it'll fit. I'm very impressed so far. The audio quality is great, radio is slightly better reception than the stock Sony, bluetooth is flawless, sat Nav seems good so far, haven't used it properly yet although I was notified about speed cameras as I was approaching them which is cool. Dvd function works as it should. I've got a usb stick plugged in with a few films on there, works well with a very simple file browser. Can't think of much else about the HU. Lots of connections at the back for subs, other inputs etc. I've ordered a larger SD card for all the vids I have and I've also ordered a reverse camera which I'm looking forward to. All in all, I love it. Small things, not complaints, just saying: 1. Backlight doesn't come on when headlights are turned on. I have the backlight set to be on constantly when the car is on. 2. Screen also doesn't dim when headlights are turned on. 3. Buttons have a good bit of play on them. Shouldn't be a problem as I used the multistalk on my steering wheel mostly. Another thing: there must be different brackets for fitting a HU to a MK2 and MK2.5 focus. My stock HU was fixed with 2 screws to the dash and clipped onto the actual fascia. The HU I got has 4 mounting screw holes, 1 in each corner which line up to larger gaps on my dash. The fascia just clips over the HU. So am I right in thinking there are special brackets on the left and right of the HU on a MK2.5 focus which the HU screws into directly? As it sits now in my car, the fascia is keeping the HU in place. There are no screws securing the HU or fascia at the minute. I'll do a bit more poking around to see if these "special brackets" can be bought easily. Let me know what y'all think so far :) Sent from my iPhone 5s.
Stoney871
Looking good. If you read through my guide to fitting a facelift radio into a Mk2 Focus the brackets you need are shown there with the part numbers needed to order them from Ford.

kpg
Thanks to Lenny for sending me the mounting brackets for my HU. All looks nice and tidy now. Still haven't managed to get any proper pics of my ST spoiler fitted, the snow here is unbelievable. At least 8inches deep today, worse than yesterday !! I took a couple of snowy snaps yesterday: My fiancé 's car: The postman dropped off a nice package today also while I was at work: Depo Halo/Devil/Angel eye headlights from FK Motorsport. I bought LEDs from eBay for the rings as advised by ScorpionSX. Looking forward to getting these on the car but have to wait for the snow to feck off first lol That's all for now. Will keep you posted on the headlights. Oh that reminds me, I got engaged over Xmas. Popped the question on Xmas morning. It's going to be an exciting year :) ! (apologies, can't remember the name) Looking forward to getting these on the car but have to wait for the snow to feck off first lol That's all for now. Will keep you posted on the headlights. Oh that reminds me, I got engaged over Xmas. Popped the question on Xmas morning. It's going to be an exciting year :) ! Sent from my iPhone 5s. Congratulations on getting engaged mate that's fantastic news :) Glad to be of assistance with the headunit brackets, They were surplus to my requirements and I'm glad to see them live on within a focus. Charlie brigante had a set of those lights fitted to his focus they look sweet, I think alltronix.co.uk manufacture replacement 6000kelvin LED Bulbs to illuminate the rings, A common issue with these aftermarket headlights is condensation build up inside, This is due to them being stored in damp conditions within warehouses, Then when there put to use the heat of the bulbs cause the moisture to condensate inside the sealed unit, If this happens to yours; Purchase some small silica gel bags from eBay, Attach them to a piece of string and insert to each headlight. The silica desiccant bags absorb moisture, so they will effectively mop up and seal in the condensation. I once recommended this method to Charlie and it solved the problem for him, so should it arise you know what to do. Also have you sealed around your Spoiler bolt holes with silicone? We have no snow in the sunny south east, strong winds and rain, although cork and the west coast are coated white like you guys. Once again Congratulations on getting engaged mate :)

Jockstar
Those headlights were the ones I had been looking at possibly buying. I'd be interested to find out how you get on. And congratulations!
kpg
Thanks for the tips Lenny. Yea the brackets worked a treat. I'll keep an eye out for moisture, should have a few of those silica bags hanging around from Xmas pressies lol. I haven't had a chance to silicone the spoiler yet, waiting for a dry day which is a luxury around these parts at this time of year. I don't think I'll be going near the bulbs for the rings any time soon, they're a pain in the ring to change :/ Sent from my iPhone 5s.
kpg
Those headlights were the ones I had been looking at possibly buying. I'd be interested to find out how you get on. And congratulations! Actually, being the impatient child that I am, I pulled the nose of my car into the garage and installed the lights lolPeeing with rain and wind blowing a storm I persevered and got them in. They look class, very pleased: The bulbs for the rings were a nightmare. Lots of swearing, my long narrow fingers didn't even help, took a layer of skin off to get the very corner ones changed. I'll go and get them aligned tomorrow on my lunch. One thing I noticed was the driver side light was a bit of a tight fit. Lots of fiddling to get right, sits about 1mm further than the passenger side one but only noticeable if you run your hand along the front of the light and wing. Can't see that affecting the beam pattern much but we'll see. I'll get some daytime pics tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone 5s.
