Michael P
As some of you may well know, the wonderful Flic gave me some of her spare alloy wheels, they look a bit like this: Now, some of you like the gold (don't i just !Removed! know it) but me and Flic aren't fans, so they're going Grey! I started off by sanding off the top layer of lacquer so that the paint would have something to stick to: Prep'd up for spraying, then decided the tyre's are going anyway so i didn't need to! This is the end result, i hope you like:
aph1101
Very nice indeed!! And a fine choice of colour, might I add :D They are going to look great with some blacked up tyres. When do you recon they're going to be on the car?

AndrewL
Excellent work again Michael - they're going to look good on M11HKL. You could do with some lower profile tyres though really, for some reason it's not particularly noticeable when they were gold but in grey they do look a bit pumped! Michael P
By eck, that was quick! Looks good too! I don't take my time when i like doing something! Excellent work again Michael - they're going to look good on M11HKL. You could do with some lower profile tyres though really, for some reason it's not particularly noticeable when they were gold but in grey they do look a bit pumped! Lower profile tyres = ALOT more money for some reason. I can get 165/65/14 firestone's for £180, any thinner and they're going about £60 a tyre. Looks very nice mr p good job well done :) Cheers! ---------------------------------------------- Back to progress, i have sanded and sprayed another wheel tonight: I also lacquer'd the first wheel also: Made it quite matt-ish which looks alright! With a few polishes and waxes it will look good. Tomorrow bring with it lacquering the second wheel and then i'll leave it until the weekend probably, i think two in two days is alright!! AndrewL
Ok, I assume that was for 4 Firestone Multihawks from Kwik Fit at £178? Blackcircles.com will do you 4 Yokohama A.Drive 165/60 R14 T's for £188.64 VAT inclusive, fully fitted and balanced with disposal (you choose the garage from a list), or you can get 4 Kumho KH15 165/60 R14 H's for £166.28 fitted. Both decent brands, apparently Firestone isn't what it used to be. Ps Yes I am sad and did just spend half an hour looking that up.
