Reminds me of rugby days, take a swig and pass it on.... Sigh, need to get back into it in 2016

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Christmas Dinner today - Mum is working tomorrow.

My Niece & Nephew both received a phone call from Santa - should have seen their little faces light up :D

I also got to see 2 gorgeous Huskies :D

There is also a grump to go with today...

Which?

Rugby, swigging or port?

Are the Huskies your sister's?

Noo...her old neighbour (and colleague lol)

My sister would love a dog, but she's allergic to most lol

Bit of both...

Poodles, Komondors (Mop dog), Puli (Rasta Dog) have a different structure to the fur, don't moult and don't cause the allergic reactions that other types of dogs do, should your sister want a non-allergenic dog.

The Bergamasco (Cane da pastore) is another, but outside the pastoral regions of Italy, it is rather rare

Scottish terriers too! You'll be far too worried about the bite marks on your ankles and fingers to worry about the sneezing!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas all, enjoy your day! :)

I do like an early Christmas afternoon Rum & Coke...

The one benefit of not having a driving licence is knowing you won't have to drive!! ;)

Merry Christmas Everyone :)

The dog and I have been on a long wet walk, one of us is wetter than the other

Hardly anyone about, the usual dogs we see, don't seem to getting their walk today  Brandy had nobody except a random dalmation in Corfe Mullen, to exchange sniffs with.

Still very warm for late December - 16°C on the garage wall

I do like driving about and finding I'm the only one on the A349, and only one of three, for whole "last minute christmas card" hand-delivering trip. :)

It's been a while since I was (or indeed anyone was) able to drive at the correct speed on the A349: as opposed to the normal 12-15mph with added gridlock. It only took 6 minutes, there and back :)

I do like having a nice Christmas dinner and visit, then getting home to watch some TV and relax. Was 0*C on the drive back.

I do like the full content feeling from a nice relaxing dinner, keeping everyone happy and stuffed. Wowing with the goose and celebration wow desserts. Also got to meet my sons girlfriends parents albeit briefly, dunno who was more nervous tbh them or me lol

You had goose as well? My grandfather made that this year (first time I've ate it) and it was very nice. Strong flavours, probably because it was the dark meat but incredibly delicious.

It's an amazing meat, we have it once every two years on rotation with turkey, although due to the numbers we feed turkeys usually always there as back up anyway. I heard somewhere (dunno how true it is) that goose is a free farmed meat meaning it can't be factory farmed same as chicken or turkey, so it's always going to be free range as the geese won't allow it lol, or something - it explains the price of it at least anyway!

Just do what the Eastern Europeans do round here...wander up to the park and nab a Goose, couple of ducks etc lol

(I'm not actually suggesting it - just a somewhat tongue in cheek comment)

Ever Read what Churchills thoughts where on Europe... in particular eastern Europe and the Balkan's..

The dog and I have walked to Ringwood and back, it was rather windy and wet underfoot; but the rain has stopped for the moment :)

The Stour is currently wider and deeper than should be, with all the addtional rain. In places, the footpath is not passable; unless you have a boat. We had to take a number of diversions into adjacent fields. Certain meadows have become temporary shallow lakes

In the countries where their laws are derived from Roman law, it's perfectly acceptable to catch and cook any wildlife for the pot. The Eastern Europeans, for the most part, don't realise, our wildlife is protected and you can't just grab it for tea.

Dorset lost a number of swans along the Stour from the Albanian building contractors, who come over to work on local developments. The local police have a hard job explaining that swans belong to the crown, and they're not wild food, like it is Albania.

Getting mountune goodies from the kids for Xmas

The movie The Rock.... Awesome film!

"be prepared to reap the whirlwind gentleman"

Another two rich fruit cakes in the oven :)

They'll be there for while now, in a long slow oven.

The rain has abated for now :) The wind has intensified  It is very warm, again

The dog and I have had a very blustery evening walk, once again, all the local dogs were absent. We usually see a few on the evening stroll, but not today

I do like leaving the car at the door for the past 2 days, saving a good deal of petrol that would have been wasted on useless trips.
