I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

One of my ex oppos started his own business training dogs when he retired.

Purely obedience and behaviour problem resolution.

I do get called on sometimes to assist with seizing and assessing possible dangerous (and occasional) banned dogs for the RSPCA.

Being retired come with it's problems !....like finding the time to complete the To Do List !!. :)

It's a burden we have to carry Stuart . . . :)

I do like a relaxing Saturday with a few beers and a curry later on for tea.

After a brief interlude of four hours, the rain has returned, it's still too warm for Winter by about 13°C too high!

Im bored of being off now, been off since the 18th December, back in work Monday.

I too, am moving into the "sometimes a long holiday is a bit too much, it's getting a bit boring now" stage.

There are item on my To Do list, that have been there for a couple of years now!

I bet youve got a lovely lawn then! ;)

I used to have a lovely lawn :) until Brandy stopped using the flower beds and hedges bases for her daily ablutions :(

It now has circles of dead foliage and burnt top growth :( One patch right in the centre seems to be her favourite spot :(

Up by the washing line, where it's not too noticeable, she hasn't bothered using, or by the compost tumbler, which can't be seen from the house; again no pee dead grass circles

We don't have that problem at the moment, we have some gravel on the bit that used to be a drive.(the garden is now fenced around and it is now part of the back garden, all sorted before we moved in) so Casper goes on that, well until I put a shed there he does, mwhahaha, then next year I'm getting the lawn leveled and reseeded etc so I don't know what he'll do then. One thing I do like, is the new star wars film, went and took the little bro in law to see it in 3d. Ending was naff though

Male dog pee isn't as destructive as female dog pee to grass.

Whenever my brother is down with his boy pugs, you can't see where they've been, even days later: whereas Brandy's spots become apparent within 24 hours

It's quite surprising one of the herbicide companies hasn't marketed female dog urine as an 'organic gramicide'

Makes me so glad I don't have a dog... They are (in the majority of cases) very friendly and lovable creatures, but I couldn't deal with the maintenance required. That sounds so selfish and it is, but that's just me.

I prefer a cat, where the most maintenance is cleaning a litter tray once a day, other than that they mind their own business... Literally and metaphorically.

Mark, thanks for that. I will use that reply next time there is conflict with her indoors !!. :)

I tried the "Quote" but it doesn't appear to work for me at the moment. ( another thing on the "to do" list). lol

I do like starting a Sunday morning at 10:20 in my robe with a latte...

Which browser are you using ? I found i couldn't use the quote function with I.E. - i now use Firefox & the quote function works :)

Thanks. I'll give Firefox a whirl.

Apart from a blizzard and any kind of snow, the dog and I, experienced quite an array of weather types on our long walk.

The water table is very high now, so most of the rural paths, are somewhere between boggy and marshland  Brandy returned with a mud tide mark all the way round, at her chest level, a smaller dog would have resembled a bog snorkler  Something larger, like a labrador would have mud leggings

Quote function works in both Pale Moon (which branched off Firefox) and Seamonkey (another Mozilla based browser) and of course Chrome :)

I do like finding lots of untried ways and recipes to tackle my massive brussel sprout mountain.

I'm about to roast brussel sprouts with sultanas and bacon :)

I Do like fish finger sandwiches, running the freezer down after the winter fest as it's jammed as tight as possible in there....and well....you've gotta start somewhere lol

I do also like it's back to school tomorrow, as much as I love my daughter, she's turning into Kevin the teenager!

Having made and ingested a large bowlful, I can confirm, roast brussel sprouts with sultanas and bacon, is very moreish :)

I've made too much though

The author's "serves 2 as a side, or 1 as a main" clearly has a much bigger appetite than me

I don't know about you Ghana, but brussel sprouts always give me a rather interesting toilet visit shortly after consumption... Just a warning if you intend on eating a lot!

I do like using the extra Xmas pud

No, I've just kept it to a bowlful to minimise, that post brussel sprout loo urgency effect.

There's plenty left over, for the next 4-5 meals I think

My dads neighbour seems to have a MK4 P Reg (IIRC) Fiesta sitting on his front lawn...looks in ok nick apart from the door mirrior hanging off. House is a complete dump and needs demolishing but anyway....

Is it weird i fancy it? Would be fun to clean it up etc. doubt my dad would allow it though! :( Made me think of Jamie and his quest for another MK4...

I do like finding a Heko dealer with January sale on and getting a set discounted Hekos for the Focus :)

Care to share?

Either the link, or send me your Heko's for free and get yourself some more?

Preferably the latter....
