That has to be the most understated birth announcement I've ever seen!!

Congratulations to you and your lady wife :-)

And a big welcome to Baby Jeebs :D

How do you know he's talking about a baby? Might have just been to the shop and purchased a large joint of beef.... :/

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

My youngest brother and sister-in-law are coming down later today, with their pugs (dogs not peugeots), for a couple of days

My other brother (next brother down, in the line up of three) is either coming down tonight, or tomorrow morning, depending on what he's drunk at a mates wedding today, until New Year's Eve morning.

Brandy gets some fellow dogs to play with, and I get to catch up with my brothers and SIL :)

Nice to able to balance the compost additions with 7 Dyson fulls of spare fur and Christmas fluff :)

Everybody's moulting like it's Spring, because of the high unseasonal temperature - 16°C again today

Thanks guys, it was a tad understated, unfortunately I had very little sleep for many days prior, I struggled to cognate that sentence at the time lol.

Yes we are thrilled. Little man wanted to see his midwife, didn't seem to be much going on at 0750 and she was changing shift at 0815, he didn't want her to go without saying hello and arrived at 0814 weighing in a hefty 9lb 12oz! I was up all night with him as well, as he seems nocturnal so far lol. Needless to say, when everyone woke up I disappeared to bed. Just been the shop and purchased coffee and energy drinks in preparation for Tonight's shift.

You could call him Ford ;)

Or go subtle and call him Harrison....

Or Henry for that matter....

Haha, nah his name has been decided for a while lol, sneaky ad it may have been [emoji14]

Congratulations to you both! :)

Our first (baby girl) is due early March.

Congrats jeebs!

I do like freshly made flapjacks... Don't so much like the heartburn I always get after eating them!

Oddly enough, I made some much earlier today, in anticipation of next brother down, coming down. As he's rather fond of them. And like you, despite affection for them, gets reflux from eating them.

He once declared that a flapjack was better than the love of several grown women  :P

Obviously never tried combining the two then

Now there's an idea! Just got to find myself several women... Any willing participants? ;)

I do like my accidental discovery that the vanilla ice-cream I made earlier, goes surprisingly well with desiccated coconut :)

LOL  Yes I suppose it is, but without the chocolate cover

I usually use flaked and ground almonds, except I've none today

I made some brilliant energy bites a while ago, I got some oats and blended them a bit so they were smaller pieces, mixed them with 97% unflavoured whey powder, mixed in some dessicated coconut, then added some golden syrup and made balls out of it. Rolled them in more coconut at the end to take off the sticky edge, chucked them in the fridge and they were an easy home made snack.. Not 100% healthy given the golden syrup, but I knew what was in them and it was all I wanted in them - all had a use/purpose.

Those sound like a really good idea :)

Alternatively, you could use pulverised Medjool dates, instead of the golden syrup to make 100% healthy

Not unlike Roy Orbison in genre and style, although I can't say I'd heard of him before, you posted video

Can't beat sitting in the conservatory with German Christmas Beer and an easy listening playlist till the early hours :p

German Christmas Beer sounds interesting :)

Herforder it's called. My mate gets it off a mate from Germany, can only get it for 2 months a year. Drinking it from the traditional 1 litre stein glass, you've drank 2 crates before you know it :p
