Sorry to hear this Tom but can you not go back down the doctor/ nutritionist route ?

They do have a duty of care and I presume you have undergone a certain level of tests to eliminate any common issues ?

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Comments like that are also unhelpful unless you're following them up with suggestions?

I can't manage the fibre in veg/oats/cereals so have to keep portion sizes very small (far too small to get enough calories from them).  I can't manage the fructose in fruit at all.  Or the lactose in milk. Probiotics were catastrophic! And due to other issues, I can't really prepare any food so have to rely on ready made items.  Few years ago I was having frozen fish & chicken regularly but couldn't manage that from around 2019.  Can't even manage boiled potatoes any more either...possibly due to the starch?  Believe me, biscuits and potato waffles are not through choice.  That's just all that's left after the last few years of having to keep cutting more and more foods despite multiple attempts asking for medical input.

I've been genuinely amazed that dieticians get paid for handing out leaflets that anyone can find online or telling skinny people to eat more and fat people to eat less!

What I really need myself is some sort of 'overall' service to take all of my conditions into account and produce a manageable plan for moving forward.  It's like a tangled ball of wool, trying to loosen one knot tightens another, there's no obvious starting point and everything I've tried so far relies on being able to run before I can walk which has ultimately just made things worse every time.  However, there is no service that does that, not in the NHS, council or even privately...  Finances aren't so much of an issue for me at the moment so I'd happily pay if necessary.  But I just can't access any health services because of my health conditions...which seems absurd!

Some things you have said make sense and then you go and spoil it ha ha.Obviously you’ve a lot of bad things going on but you could make incremental changes rather than a holistic approach “overall” service that you suggest.
It seems to me you have some advantages:Plenty of time-to educate yourself on what real foods are, what they do and the money to eat unprocessed whole foods.

One recommendation is to start drinking organic green tea without milk. The good gut bacteria thrive on it.You may not like the taste but like I said you have time, time to get use to it ha ha. In my experience not enough time is set aside to see if changes are for the better,It can take months.

Drinking a cup of organic green tea-cheers😎

Was going to see a show tonight with Rory bremner , edd burn, Richard k Amos amongst others I don't know. Got canceled/postponed lunchtime or there abouts.last show I booked in 2020 got canceled twice ( understandable with COVID)

Then ,Drove home to find one route closed due to roadworks. So tried another route to find an articulated lorry on its side on s bends of road blocking road completely. Had to take detour to get home. My usual route had roadworks/temp lights and I got caught out by long queues last night.

Let me , what else. Oh yeah, our puppy dog decided to join us in the hot tub tonight!! Couldn't quite catch her as she in mid air . Splosh she went. Don't know who was more supprised us, or her..

The day at work went well though. Nice and busy raking in the ££££ through not much effort.

Day getting that bad I can't even post this in the right thread 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I do like that myself and my partner have had our mortgage offer through today to buy our first house 😄

I have just purchased an 84 page Ford Focus 2005 sales brochure. On the LX range I discovered that apparently I have heated door mirrors. I assume they are triggered by switching on the heated rear windscreen? I never knew my car had such refinements...  🤣

Probably broke though. 😂😂

I do like winning £18.50 on the Cheltenham festival.  All came from free bets without any of my own cash spent!

Car SOS..

Just caught the episode where they did a Saab 900. (s10 ep 5). As a demonstration to show how an engine 'blows up', they used an old Mk2 Focus, drained it of oil, placed a camera in the engine when they removed sump, and then drove off. It lasted a mile before disintegrating! Now fit for the scrapper, though I'm sure I could have had some nice trim replacements from it LOL

They could have just used a 1.0 ecoboost and it would have saved them the time making an engine blow up.

F1 Season

Started this weekend, and after 4 decades of using 13" wheels, they have now swapped to 18" wheels. Is it just me or do the cars now look odd? I'm sure by race 2 I'll be use to it LOL

Bought another car to flip. Bought this nice Peugeot 108 convertible from this lovely lady just 10 miles away. Got it for a good price and it's not cat damaged. She even was nice enough to drop the car to me as she was coming down my area next day. Also been serviced last month so don't need to do that.

Cleaned it up and just waiting to get time to touch up the scratches and get the V5 then put it on sale.

I am deaf, but I'm new here Things I like Pool, Snooker and the sound of my 2011 1.6 ecoboost engine. I can hear the lil growl between 2000 and 3500 RPM, I have no idea if its just the engine or the turbo spooling I cant hear it you see - I dare not put it past that. In all my cars I've never gone past 4500 RPM because to me, it sounds like I'm gonna ruin the engine. I know there are rev limiters but the unique way of my deafness I actually hear very bassy noises very loud (recruitment deafness - Where lower Hz frequency noises can sound louder than it is) and that my hearing is muffled is pretty much it my ears think a cars engine can be ruined at 5000 RPM  due to this and yes I do know this to be true in some circumstances and yes many times you can get up to 6000RPM and more but I wont ever dare that due to the way engines hear upon my ears because of my recruitment deafness, at 4500 RPM to me, the engine is screaming and I think any higher is just wrong. Average human hearing maxes out at around 20,000/22,000Hz.... Mine? 5800Hz. So imagine that difference.

I do like it when the 'rich' get their comeuppance! Whilst waiting outside a popular discount store for my other half, 2 x princess tippytoes, parked their expensive Audi SUVs right outside on a double yellow line. I confess to smiling alot when they were both issued tickets - I guess those £1.99 T/Shirts turned out to be a bit more expensive than they thought 🤣

Up the Dales at our caravan for the first time this year. I do like that I've found no problems after winter!😀

This is always a great place for plane spotting, but there seems an unusually high level of activity today. In the first hour alone we were "buzzed" by 4 USAF F-15s, an Atlas, and half a dozen Hawks. I hope this is not a reflection of the current situation. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for MIGs and Bears!

I like that I have lived through a golden age of travel that young’uns will never experience.

·         On my 1st transatlantic flight to Canada at 9 years old, I was able to spend 30 minutes in the cockpit being transfixed with the flying of a 747

·         I have eaten on board an airplane using proper metal cutlery

·         I have been allowed to bring onboard all sorts of hazardous items, like a 500ml bottle of water, and my trusty penknife I’m never without

·         Being able to board an aircraft without being treated like a potential criminal.

·         Parking in front of an airport to pick up an incoming friend or relative.

·         I have experienced the joy of filling up my 1400 Litre home heating oil tank for the sum of £140 (now, it’s around £1400 – OK, not travel, but still nostalgic use of energy LOL

·         I have known the joy to not shop around for petrol prices, being able to fill a 10 gallon tank for £16 instead of £80

·         The joy of being a ‘petrolhead’, reading about performance cars, and modding them with hybrid turbos, Weber carburetors, performance air filters, big bore exhausts, all of which will disappear.

·         The thrill buying my 1st new car (an XR2) for an amount I could afford on a fairly low start job.

Yes, so glad I’m old enough to have experienced all that...

I remember a time when you used to get complimentary alcohol on flights between Orkney and the mainland........we flew down today and got a plastic tub with water and a shortbread biscuit!!! 🙄

I remember my first flight to Malta and aircraft  had 4 propellors!! Those were the days. 🤣, And elmdon airport( Birmingham) was a large warehouse/shed.

Hi guys, please dont turn this into a "memory lane" thread. The last few posts suggests so, and its off topic, its not a memory lane thread.

Older posts may be outdated sure, as time goes on, so must we, it was good at the time even if it isnt now.

I like it when Americans suddenly wake up and acknowledge the fact that no... The USA aint the greatest country in the world and far from it. This brings me joy, as I think yes another one finally woke up from the American dream of lies and US propaganda and finally sees the truth!

A lot of threads go slightly off topic here, doesn’t matter if this one does.

I do like it's Saturday today. I remember if my memory serves me that it was Friday yesterday. Friday, those were the days.🤣🤣🤣

I’m old enough to remember Thursday, hard times they were, non of this modern day time off.

I like people with a good sense of humour who don't take them selves to seriously. Life's too short. 😀😀

On the 'Trump' election with his catch phrase, 'Make America Great Again', I teased my American friends/relatives, when exactly was America great in the first place, and what era are you harking back to LOL Lots of strange, wonderful answers...

I think it began in 1607 and ended in the late 1700’s 🇬🇧
