I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

From wiki,

The tradition in the UK of fish battered and fried in oil came from Western Sephardic Jewish immigrants from Holland.[4][2][5][6]

Get in right 😉

Not sure a like or not like really.

Bills gone up since I fixed my gas and electric in sept as fixed deals were on the rise. Paying far more than when I was on my last fix earlier in the year

But, I've just worked out the cost of I had stayed on variable tarrif as a lot of commentators were advising around then. Come April it would have been an extra £100 a month in my case. So luckily I'm going to save that extra cost approx each month until sept 2023 when my fix finishes. Result!!

Not to keen on arrogant and condescending people. Sometimes a reminder of their past behaviour, which was directed to others and myself, may help them with their future communication.

With respect, I don’t have too much interest in likes or dislikes.

Well done with your bills, it’s a cause for concern for lots of us.

Like always, it will be the poor and elderly who will suffer.

And what the next sentence on that page? And where are western Sephardic Jews from and why were they in Holland?

Not too bad. Had quite a lot of positive response from various clubs and organisations.

Plus more apologies from eurocarparts ! 😊

The Tuesday after next is pancake Day in the UK...  Ok, pancakes themselves are American, but what toppings do you all prefer?

But english end french went to conquer America with their recipes and culture...so, pankakes are not an american product...

😆

Just kidding my friends...

I have eaten in many of 'House of Pancakes' in USA, and can confirm, even if not their culture, they are dam delicious. A stack of them with crispy bacon and maple syrup, easy to see why many of them struggle with obesity!

I do like a pancake or 4 while on holiday in USA. Preferably done for me at a restaurant , or buy them readymade frozen at Walmart to cook, warm up whatever. Get them in packs of 24. Don't last long. Mmmm.

Meant to be going 2 years ago but something stopped it 🙄

Enjoy, have you been there before? Not a place I've visited yet. Did our first proper holiday last month. So nice to get away again. Even if it did mean wearing masks on the plane etc.

Genuinely delighted at folk heading out to the sun again. Unfortunately, when the government legislated people to stay at home, and businesses not to open, my partner was one of 4000 redundancies in her company, so financially it'll be a while for us to head out on a plane again. Bon voyage Sir, send us all a postcard.... 👍

Not been to Benalmadena before, been to Salou, a bit more up the coast,  a couple of times before though. Looking forward to it. ☀️

Sorry to hear of your partner's redundancy, it can't be easy for anyone unfortunate enough to lose their jobs at anytime let alone at the moment. Hopefully there will be something for them shortly 🤞

Not only did we have the pandemic to deal with we also have the added pressure of looking after my mum, 84 with dementia, as well and trying to get her into respite care for a couple of weeks......... but that's a whole different post in the other thread!  😡

Have been to Benalmadena numerous times, never stayed there, but on staying in Torremolinas, it's only a 12 minute train ride away, and they have a great weekly market! You'll love it, I'm quite envious! Yes, my own 84 year old mum had a stroke some months ago, getting old isn't all it's cracked up to be! Still, both youngsters compared to The Queen! 🙂

Enjoy, oddly Benalmadena was on the TV yesterday late afternoon (Place in the sun) it looked a nice place but also windy.

@Winothanks for the heads up, will check it out on the iPlayer 👍

I know, never in our lifetime again. Also, if you use the correct font, it's the same upside down too LOL (Sky news did it this morning, don't know what the font was!)

The latest storm managed to blow the fixed speed camera at an angle . So let's hope there's no low flying aircraft speeding by. 🤣🤣

Wow, fells like forever.🤣🤣

So I've gone ahead and bought another UP! today to flip 😁.

This is the high up spec with heated leather seats, AC, black dashboard, electric windows and mirrors.

Also has parking sensors fitted and Bridgestone tires all around with excellent tread.

Left home at 5:30 in the morning to see it as he said he had someone coming at 9:30. Got their at 6:40. Drove and inspected it and was all good. Does have a faded passenger door and rear quarter has a dent but I got it for a really good steal of a price.
