I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I do like the regular appearances of Simon Calder on every media possible! Keeps us all updated on what to do when things go wrong, and usually a good sunny backdrop to make us think, 'wish I was there'...

Unless I had heard all the coverage in the news in  recent weeks of delays and cancellations I would have been none the wiser. Just our plane alone the potential cost to tui if every one claimed would be £66000.

Aviation is expensive, now costs almost £50,000 to full an A320 with fuel! Mind you, won't be long till that's the cost of fulling a Focus! 🤣

+1 Very knowledgeable chap who can put across his points in a simple, understandable manner.

Yes I can see 🤣

Just been out for an hour on the motorbike, first time in nearly 4 years. The first 30 minutes felt very awkward just couldn't get the feel of it, but towards the end I was starting to get more comfortable. Lets hope for some fine dry weather in the next few weeks so I can build myself back up on the bike. 😀

I wish you safe riding! About 15 years now since I was on a bike and I still get the pangs. Can't afford to risk picking up another injury now, though, still not really recovered from the last one!

Don't fancy the state of the roads for two wheels either. I was driving along the "Helmsley TT" a few weeks back and couldn't believe how bad the surface was nowadays, compared to when I used to take a Sunday ride up there.

Stick around a bit longer and it gets even better - state pension, senior bus pass, discounts on trains with senior railcard, extra Covid vaccinations (!) 😀

very good 👍

I have just re-insured mine after a break of almost 4 years so I lost all my No Claims Discount and have to start again

£115.33 for insurance on my Suzuki GSF 650 Bandit,  not so bad. It would have only been £72 if I'd still had my NCD.

I'm hoping to stick around a bit longer. The tablets I take may help fingers crossed. The joys of being older is having one of these, and needing the days as it reminds me what day it is. 😂😂1655554973185603178335403162128.thumb.jpg.05fc91417897ce9d388c8f4dc2769e02.jpg

And yes that's me feeding a giraffe. 😂

That's cheered me up, Ian. I can't be as old as I thought - I can still remember which one to take, and when!😀

PLANS TO HEAT THOUSANDS OF LONDON HOMES FOR FREE

Plans have been revealed to heat thousands of London homes with a sustainable supply of hot air piped directly from the houses of parliament. A spokes person for the government has said that only during the summer recess will the supply of hot air be unavailable. 🤣

sounds about right🙂

I'm guessing so. It was sent to via a mate of a friend of mine. I feel for you...

We had a proper thunder & lightning storm here between about 10pm & midnight.  Has cleared the air nicely after the heat the night before!
