A lot of threads go slightly off topic here, doesn’t matter if this one does.

Sorry, I am new here, I have been on many forums where the slightest hint of going off topic a mod comes along and tells people off, that was my mindset because of my past experience. I only simply said because I thought or wrongly assumed it would be the same here, again I am new (my sign age shows I'm not but I usually see one post and bugger off as you will lol. I'm new in the sense of actually interacting on the forum.) If the rules are a little more relaxed here then the ones I'm used to then the rebel in me is all for it!

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

On the 'Trump' election with his catch phrase, 'Make America Great Again', I teased my American friends/relatives, when exactly was America great in the first place, and what era are you harking back to LOL Lots of strange, wonderful answers...

Land of the free (Pfft) and Home of the brave eh?

Its actually true. The home of the brave part. Living with over zealous cops that would rather shoot first and ask questions later. Highest incarceration rate in the world. The high amount of mass shootings. No mandated parental leave, no mandated time off by law. Highest medical bills in the world even after paying for health insurance! Yeah gotta be brave to live there.

The USA is actually a 3rd world country but with a budget of a 1st world country.

Today I do like, but also don't like, cutting the grass for the first time this year at Turvey Towers 🤔😀 just another 5 months and it'll stop growing again! 😄

Small pony? Definitely not!

Large guinea pig? 🤔 😀 I suppose you could always eat it in the autumn when it was big enough to eat!

A goat would be better, milk on tap and plenty of meat and a warm coat for the winter, lol.

Good idea! 👍 Daughter is allergic to cow's milk so it would save her buying goats milk 👍 don't fancy eating goat though.

Many a true word is spoken in jest.

In the dairy farming part of New Zealand, which is what it is because the grass grows so fast, the houses at the side of the rural roads all have a grass verge between the road and the fence and it is not unusual to see a cow tethered on the verge to keep the grass in check.

Goat stew. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Is it so wrong to hoot the car horn multiple times when there's a film crew, actors trying to do a corporate video in my vicinity. I thought not. Had the be tested .😂😂😂😂😂 No idea what they were cutting and taking either .what ever it was had to cut so my times.😂😂

"Cut", or "Can U Toot?", is a very technical term in the film industry. It means they are looking for more background noise to set the sound levels correctly. I imagine they very much appreciated your assistance, and I can only imagine the look of joy on their faces.

There was a look for sure.

Getting the "Noddy car" back home from the Brother in Laws garage after having the timing belt done.

Note to self, write it down in the service schedule.

I do like getting a compliment from a member of the public over the weekend!

Warning! Sounds of blowing own trumpet coming up! 😀

Changing a couple of skips on Saturday at one of the recycling centres and when I was done, went up and gave the site operative a hand to uncover the skip and a bloke who was waiting to use it said "Well, that's not the first time you've done that!" 😎

Working for the council it's nice to be complimented in person rather than slagged of on Facebook etc

I used my FOC discount card at Halfords yesterday and saved £7.35 off a new battery for my motorbike 😀

When I used my card last week, the young spotty Herbert was about to call over his supervisor, when I asked if here was an issue with my card. He said, I don't know how to use it. My years in retail, and a bucket load of common sense simply said, why not try and scan the barcode on it. 'Oh yeh' he said as it worked - honestly, young'uns LOL

1st time this year I have been able to set the Mrs up on back lawn with sun lounger, and windbreak around her - happy bank holiday folks... 😁

Found out I can  potentially claim compensation for our delayed flight to maderia yesterday.over 3 hrs late so could be £1050 for the 3 of us.

Fingers crossed.

Why would you sit in a hotel jacuzzi without the pumps/water going. We went to have a look at jacuzzi and saw a man very relaxed and virtually asleep in the water. My partner was Walking around edge of jacuzzi and didn't see the buttons fitted on the floor which we then realised switches the pumps on . 🤣🤣🤣🤣, The jacuzzi erupted like a  volcano, the man's look on his face as  tried to stop him self drowning. Pmsl.

He said something but not in English . It may have translated to "thankyou" maybe
