Things I do like

Featured Replies

I do like the wood burner being reinstalled 👍

Hopefully won't drop insulation again 🤞 sealed between the flue and the register plate last night and let it go off.

Steel plate with 'asbestos' tape around the inside and outside circumference of the plate and then screwed down/up.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

That's never Yorkshire!?  Where's all the stone and hills?  Honestly looks like suburban Suffolk!

@Wino nice looking job, shame someone sprayed paint over your number plates though! 😀

The rear one will need replacing for the next MOT as it seems to have bubbled in the middle of the laminate which I think might be related to the very hot weather we had.

No it's not. Its Derbyshire 😄

Just collected the Mrs's 8 year old Seat Mii from its annual trip to the local garage. I do like that it's passed its MOT with no advisories for the 6th year in a row.😀

I guess you had loosened the top 3 or 4 buttons on your shirt 😉

Can't help thinking you seem to be confusing the village garage for the Village People!😀

Is the garage called YMCMii then you only have yourself to blame 😄

I've found 2 Xbox 360 lurking in the cupboards I forgot the kids had. Probably not worth anything. Just checked and they  both work.

For those who go to work each day, I expect you will get 2 extra bank holidays next year 👍

Coronation of King Charles III

and

Investiture of William Prince of Wales.

I think I need to go back to work so I can enjoy the Bank Holidays 🤣

Every Monday is a day off for myself unless I opt for overtime.

Sold my X360 for about a tenner spares/repair back in 2014.  It had RROD'd and I'd failed at a cooling fix twice.  It was around that point I decided to stick to cars...  Still have a PSOne and PS2 Slimline that were working when stored though!

I sold my original Sinclair Spectrum 48k a decade ago, along with the tape recorder, and a case full of games - still regret it!

Still got a mega drive and 6 or 7 games up in the attic as well as an original Xbox that's been hacked to allow games to be played from the harddrive, must be 20 or 30 games on it.

Having a few days in Filey on the Yorkshire coast. By happy coincidence the start/finish of the Trackrod Yorkshire Rally this weekend, so I've been wallowing in nostalgia at the entrants for the historic class - loads of Mk 1 and 2 Escorts, Mk 1 Lotus Cortina, Sunbeam Lotus, Avenger Tiger,  several classic 911s,TR7 V8,  Fiat 131 Abarth, Cooper S, you name it.

A friend of ours only recently gave up competing himself and still does the odd spot of servicing for another lad. Didn't know in advance, but he was on this one and I spotted his car with a poorly Impreza on the trailer, so got into the paddock for a chat.

So a very enjoyable day! (I could have gone and stood in the dark in Dalby forest getting lashed by flying gravel last night, but I did enough of that in the 7Os, 80s and 90s!😀)

Trackrod Yorkshire Rally this weekend

Just to add - I walked through the site of the rally base this morning. Yesterday, it was a hive of activity - support vehicles all shapes and sizes, motorhomes, vehicles being serviced, people eating, dozens of warning notices, hundreds of yards of orange safety fences etc, etc. This morning - zilch, clean as a whistle and a credit to the organisers and all involved.

Quite a contrast to the aftermath of virtually any music festival.

I hope your list isn’t in order of preference. Because if it was surely chocolate would be at the top😀

Nice! 😎

We're heading back to Benalmadena in 6 weeks, hopefully the weather will still be nice when we get there 🤞

I'm assuming James Packer got a foot up thanks to his dad?
