I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Take a few bags of stinky sticks for the dogs: all dogs love stinky sticks :)

My work dogs are trained to only take treats from me.

They won't even accept them from my wife unless I give them the command.

I've seen them drool puddles until I have allowed them to take something.

The collie is different though, he'll usually scarf anything left loafing around but still won't take treats from anyone he doesn't know.

Shame all dogs arent that well trained!

God knows, when i'm back in the UK on Friday i will take some pictures, i can see it through the fence haha.

I'd go in the garden but he seems to have about a million dogs. (i don't get on with dogs )

I don't get on with dogs either, truth be told. My grandparents have three and I'm fine with them but that's just because they are "family". Any dogs I don't know put me slightly on edge.

Cats on the other hand, I'd happily enter a garden full of them, provided I had a packet of Dreamies in my pocket "just in case".

Brandy will accept treats off everyone except vets (she consistently refuses the post examination treat), and given her loathing of small scruffy men dressed in black, diminutive Russell Brand look-a-likes, bearing treats would be refused too.

Your dog's would be a security risk though, if they weren't trained to refuse treats from anyone.

Dreamies are to cats: what stinky sticks are to dogs: and what scottish kale are to rabbits

Haha, i'm the same! My cats know you have dreamies from a mile off.

My other two here are enjoying some extra food and pampering whilst i'm here too.

My collie will sit at the kitchen door and happily fleece me down for any scraps that may 'fall' on the floor.

The other two have quite strict diets whereby everything they eat is approved, weighed and recorded.

They also have an official weighing every week to ensure they are kept healthy and 'match fit'.

Oh, I was thinking along the lines, they were trained not to accept treats from anyone other than you: in case a criminal you were after, essentially tried to bribe the dog with a treat, or used a treat as a distraction to escape capture.

Brandy used to position herself directly below my Dad, as after his stroke, floor spillage was greater

That is pretty much the case (my springer is well known/feared by the local criminal fraternity and they would love to see him poisoned or incapacitated in some way) but I can give them treats as long as they are on the allowed list.

All 3 get a dental stick every morning and all of them have spotless nashers and pleasant breath.

Going to the local Agri supply shop to buy some wellies.. Boss comes out the office, oh put the wellies on my account Matt. That's saved me £90, well happy with that :D

My Dad was once pulled by Customs in Calais - after the usual pleasantries (he actually used to enjoy stopping and a chat - they're quite helpful when you're nice to them apparently lol) they asked if he would be happy to let a new dog have a go at searching the trailer, seeing as it was empty.

Dog went mad - Dad panicked...Customs dog handler burst out laughing when he found the cause...amongst the pallets that he'd delivered was a load of doggie treats - one of the boxes had split and there were a few loose ones stuck in the nooks and crannies.

I do like fiddling around on comparison websites and finding out I could insure a MK4 Fiesta (with SD&P + Commuting for 10,000 miles per year) for less than £1,000 per year if I were to have a full driving licence now.

Once I pass my test, owning my own car wouldn't be so unaffordable after all! B)

going back to dogs weve got three red setters ,let them out in the garden ( its a big garden ) and thy come back in and the floor look like a game of rugby been play on it. think I will be buying them some wellies

Following the success of roasted Brussel Sprouts with sultanas and bacon earlier in the week.

I made it again tonight with some amendments. Mainly because, I hadn't got enough sprouts  , I lacked sultanas :o , I was 50ml short on the wine vinegar  and had the wrong sort of bacon

Tonight, I actually had roasted Brussel Sprouts and Broccoli with raisins and back bacon. It still worked, it was still pleasing :) Slightly sweeter with the raisins and slightly sharper with the addition of 50ml spirit vinegar. There's enough for tomorrow :)

HURL!!! clean up on aisle 3.

Sprouts AND broccolli? Hope you didn't light any candles that night. ;)

That's just for the handler.... string of sausages thrown in a convenient direction would have the handler well and truly distracted!

Following the success of my truffles, I made more....this time with one bar 85% and two bars of normal galaxy chocolate, result is they're much sweeter than before. Also altered the flavours; we've got St clements (oranges and lemons), peppermint and vanilla, personally speaking with he vanilla ones are gross but my husband seems to like them  the st clements I'm definitely making again, they are gorgeous.

Going to try them all out on my work colleagues tonight

You not fond of brassicas then Matt?

The combination didn't produce an increased significant windy output, as you might imagine it would

Were the St. Clements ones made with citrus oils, essences, extracts or liqueurs?

Extracts

Silician lemon and valencia orange

I like Broccoli GMX but hate with an absolute passion sprouts, well actually any veg except, Carrots and broccoli. However fruit wise I'll eat anything except Oranges, Tangerines & clementines and that's only because I don't like the texture.

Another bowl of roasted Brussel Sprouts and Broccoli with raisins and back bacon, for tea tonight. :) Which was then followed by pineapple trifle and a dollop cream :)

I didn't actually see SSE do it, but they must have quietly done so, at some point today. All the sodium street lamps have been changed for LED ones, in my road. Couldn't quite work out why the road was so well lit, as I set forth with Brandy on her evening stroll.

They give a much cleaner and lighter look, the road is almost as good as daylight, now :)

Our replacement tractor( we have a 280R, that's broke, so we have a top of the line 310R at the moment) has some absolutely awesome lights on it, I assume they are either LED or Xenons, but by christ are they bright, 360 degree light as well. One hell of a nice set up, shame it has the wrong colour wheels though. Another thing I like is, looking at Farm manager jobs lol. Off to uni I go
