Woke up to snow covered cars here!  Snowing intermittently now but not has melted and no longer settling, about 5c here.  Can you send some spring this way?

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

It appears Spring has arrived, this morning's stroll with Brandy was almost balmy:smile:, the deceptively cold NNE wind is no longer here:smile:, the sun is out and the clouds are absent from the sky.  Even the forecasted frost with accompanying overnight ice warning didn't happen.

It's currently 15°C on the garage wall thermometer, in the shade:smile:

Modding season is coming up fast then [emoji41]

Just been up to the wheelie bin and it's now 30°C on the garage wall thermometer, admittedly in the sun:biggrin:  more like summer now.

30c would be too warm haha, can't win really!

I do like sellers who send things much faster than their web sites would have believe:smile:

Two separate packages from two different suppliers, estimated delivery for one was Thursday, the other Friday: were both delivered a moment ago:smile:

Although early delivery can catch out out, I could've gone out thinking nothing would come so early!

The cats are making use of the sudden arrival of summer, both randomly sprawled out upon the drive:biggrin:

The sudden summer ended with setting of the sun, it's down to 2°C now, with according to Accuweather the possibility on black ice tonight.  The Met office and Netweather disagree on the black ice but all of them expect it to dip below 0° at around the time of brandy's evening stroll.

My gear oil supplier really like to pack his products well.

I was expecting something the size of a shoe box, for it was only 2L: what was delivered was the size of of an under the counter fridge.

The two 1L bottles of gear oil were in sealed double bagged bags (you'd expect that, on account of them being liquids in transit).  Which in turn were wrapped 15 layers deep of bubble wrap, they were then placed like the filling in a sandwich between 300mm bubble wrap bundles.  The remaining void was filled with polystyrene blocks plus packing peanuts. The  whole fridge sized box was then wrapped in 3 layers of film!

I wonder how he would pack something delicate and smashable, if he does this for two bottle of gear oil:lol1:

It's Gary Numans birthday lol & I'm a massive fan of Gary Numan & I've seen him play twice.  I also like that I'm trying to find a positive in somethings

Also there is a Stealth Grey 15 plate ST around me and by christ I'm in love, it's replaced Tangerine Scream as my favourite colour.

This drawing out evenings makes the drive home a little better without people failing to turn off full beam!

I do like feeling slightly useful this morning.  Some builders fencing had blown into a single track road on my way to Sainsburys, I moved it out of the way...

However watching it back on the dashcam, I realise just how badly my hairline is receding at 24...be bald in a couple of years...

It may be an odd thing to have for a late breakfast/early lunch but I do like a plate of roasted parsnips, that were still in the ground at 8am this morning and pulled after Brandy's exceedingly wet morning stroll.

It's always Mercedes estates round here that favour full beam over dipped for all occasions:huh:

It doesn't necessary follow, I had a rapidly receding hairline from about 14 onwards, until it stopped dead when I was about 28 and hasn't moved back since.  No-one other than through choice, is actually bald in my extended family: but quite a few of us, had rapid recession in our teens and twenties.  Whereas, losing all colour  and going grey then white prematurely is common on my Dad's side.  Whilst not greying at all, even in your 80's is common, amongst the males on my Mum's side.

As well as no more people thinking its relevant to put rear fogs on on the motorway!!

I do like, or rather Brandy likes her new harness that arrived with morning post.  It came with little velcro attachable pockets in the same matching colour, I assume for dog treats or empty poo bags, they're a bit too small for filled ones, or anything substantial; like a recreational bone.

No more arm pit and belly chafing for Brandy whilst doing her walks.

The Spring/ early Summer is back, 27°C on the garage wall thermometer this morning, it's dropped back to 20°C since the sky became full of clouds and blocked the sunshine out.

I often joke that it'd be a nightmare if I met myself coming the opposite way...well, I got close the other day lol

As I approached a narrow gap I had to stop to let another car come through from the opposite direction...it was another Avalon coloured Focus Mk2.5

(The road in question has cars parked down both sides and a slight bend - it's easy to miss another car entering from the other side).

I think it's the same car twin that parks near my house sometimes...Mother dearest once texted me to ask when I'd got home, and why hadn't I told her - I was sat in Falmouth on the Mounts Bay with my car parked on the jetty lol

I've seen a car twin go in the opposite direction on the main road but never had to stop to give way for him.  When I had my Astra there was a zafira that had the same plate as me except that was a 03 & my Astra was an 02, we were both on the same owners club as well.

Brandy and I have just returned from restocking the milk and monthly loo rolls at Tesco.  This was the first opportunity Brandy had, to try out her new seat belt restraint on her new harness.  No paws got entangled in the belts this time:smile:  Brandy had a seat belt tourniquet free wait whilst I filled my trolley:smile:

Although she wasn't too happy at first, with the restricted movement on the back seat.  She seemed to get to use to the fact (after a couple of miles), when she's fastened on the nearside she can't wander to the offside.

I've finally finished my ramp construction, as far as building them goes.  I've just got to engineer a way to keep the incline mated with the pedestal, as I ascend/descend.  It's substantially heavy but they might part in use.  I was thinking of using a slotted bar, or if I can find some long enough, a pair of hasps and staples, per section.

I apparently have a doppelgänger in Wimborne, which is only a mile away to the north.  I've been confused for him on numerous occasions.

Would that be MIG Performance Vauxhall?

I do like finally securing the sale of the Primera.  Turns out it wasn't as desirable as I thought (even at a very low price).  Going to have to keep a keen eye on Gumtree for a replacement vehicle though, as I get nervous at the thought of relying on a 20 year old Peugeot for all our motoring needs...  Plus being a saloon it is hardly the height of practicality for transporting anything other than people.  If a MK1 Focus comes up then the plans of buying another 405 may go temporarily out of the window and we could end up with another Ford again.  Just hypothetical for now though as I haven't seen a suitable Focus at a suitable price.

Dartmoor on a day like today! Amazing! :D

Nooo WMVX, West Midlands Vauxhall Owners.  Didn't really have much to do with them after I shortly joined, as yes they were a friendly enough bunch in person but on the Forum, it was very clicky click

I do like having passed my theory test (albeit a little while ago but I haven't been on in a while)! Driven about 60 miles in the last week and loving every minute.

Going to have to do that myself soon.

I do like feeling slightly better and booking a driving lesson for tomorrow after a three week "break" (no money, no time and recently wasn't well!).

I do like that Spring has been here since Saturday, and the need for an extra fleece and woolly hat on Brandy's walks has subsided.

It's been no lower than 20°C on the garage wall thermometer during the day and hasn't dipped below 10°C on Brandy's evening stroll.  The shallots have sprouted and the broad beans are starting to erupt from their bed, as a result.

It's also remaining light until about 6:45pm now, and of course, the lighter evenings are starting to speed up as we've passed the equinox:smile:

I do like the N/S/F door lock motor randomly deciding to work on the 405, thereby allowing the remote locking to be used.  It'll probably be broken again tomorrow though, knowing the reliability of French electronics.

I do like the past couple of days we have had as it has allowed me to do some gardening between working, also I really like the fact our Hydrangea has started to grow new shoots, I thought it was dead, so I'm really very happy with this.  Also like the presents I got today, I got 4 episodes of my Mustang build.  And Cheryl brought me a model DB5 to build, some truffles which have now gone, a nice suede jacket & star wars collections(dvds).  Ohh and the mother in law gave me 50 squids, yayy!!
