Things I do like

Featured Replies

This is very much a like, at least I hope it is.  Just applied for the particulars to rent a farm :-D.  Just had a gut feeling to do it.  As for 405's there is 2 around me and there is also a (I think) a 505 estate in Orange.  I think it's that anyway.  Plenty of 306's, 1 309(used to be mine lol believe it or not) a 205 gti(that's in a drive and never seen it move) a normal 205 owned by the woman in Wilkinson.  Pfffft what else, a clio williams, a Gt turbo 2 in red & quite a few old cars I haven't named.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

Definitely like the response time for my Local Fire Brigade!!

Within 5 minutes, not only had 3 Engines arrived, they were prepared for entry to the property!!

Police were next to arrive, along with First Responders from LIVES and finally the Ambulance .

All within about 5 minutes!!

I should point out that it wasn't my home - it was next door. New occupant had managed to set fire to something. Smoke filled the back of our house (open window upstairs). Both me & my Dad were hammering on the door and windows.

Chap refused to come out

He was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation - as was my Dad (he has dodgy lungs and got a face full of smoke as the window opened). Dad's home and fine now that he's had some O2.

Also on the like list is the nurse - very cute ;)

I do like that weather forecasts all agree that today will be another Spring-like warm sunny day (out of the NNE wind).

Brandy and I had an early start to our long weekend walk, it was still dark when we started, the local owls were still active as we entered Corfe Mullen.  There's a surprising amount of owls around here. We also heard but didn't see, local male foxes "out on the pull" as it were. It was the first long walk for some time where Brandy didn't get a muddy underside and a mud tide mark:laugh:

Having had the Electronic Shift Malfunction light come on the Mk1 Focus on Friday, it wasn't illuminating when I moved it into position, yesterday; which was odd. There was a DTC for solenoid "A" failure within the codes, but an historical one.  It wasn't present when I read them, on Saturday

I cleared the codes and took it for a 10 minute drive after we got back from Brandy's stroll, reattached the laptop, rescanned with Forscan - no DTC for solenoid "A", in fact apart from the persistant "front crash sensor communication" which has been there, and I haven't sorted out yet, for quite a while: there are no other codes!

It's a mystery as to why the Electronic Shift Malfunction light should come on, a DTC be generated, just for a 20 metre journey in reverse, yet when examining it the following day, it doesn't do this, at all:unsure:

@chrisroberson99  We saw another 405 out on Brandy's early walk, parked up in a drive in Corfe Mullen, exactly the same as Jamie's but in blue with a faded bonnet and peeling alloys

The junior chamber of commerce, the DTi and several of the banks have packs to help you do a business plan if you've never had to do one before.  I would imagine the NFU would advise you too.

I do like the sound and smell of quarter pounders on the George Foreman...  Mmm!

I also like this...

NFU are about as much use as rubber lips on a woodpecker lol.  What's the DTi?  Thanks though for the recommendations

It's the Department of Trade and Industry.

My initial suggestion was going to be "diesel turbo injection" and then I realised that wouldn't be right!

Thanks

I do like that the deceptively cold, ears numb in twelve seconds, wind has abated, and the temperature now feels like it's reading is:smile:

I have just made two quite substantial platforms, heavier enough to give a small child a hernia (45 kilos each) and wide enough to take the Mk2 focus wheels. Due to the setting sun, and working outside, and Brandy needing chickens: I haven't made the ramp inclines yet.

Just as DEFRA is the Department for the Eradication of Farming and Rural Affairs; many believe the DTI is the Department for the Termination of Industry and likewise the DWP, the Department of Worthless Pensions.

I could have sworn when I first read that it said "time traveling"!  Now that I would like.

I do like having tomorrow off and thereby spending tonight with a bottle of scotch and a Clint Eastwood movie.

I do like the 405 hitting the 1/2 mark on the fuel gauge and upon checking the trip meter, realising that 310 miles have been done since filling up.  Should easily manage to get 550-600 miles out of a full tank, which is excellent in my opinion.

I do like my two favourite things...  Bacon and whisky.  Enjoying my night with a 1970s movie before work tomorrow.

Haven't had a bacon role for aggggeeeeeeeeeeessssssss.  Used to get them on my weekend on at the last place I worked, haven't had them since.  More of a sausage person(take that how you want hahahaha).  I like how comfy my sofa is & how far I'm progressing in my game(Euro Truck Simulator 2) I've gone off my farming simulator at the moment due to completing all of the achievements bar 1 + the fact that I work in farming.   I also like looking at weekends/ 2/3 day breaks for me and Cheryl for after our wedding.  Barcelona is looking good(hopefully can convince the old bean to come to the Nou Camp as I want to see Messi & Neymar), Scotland is also a possibility.  I would like to say so is the Maldives but the chances of me going there & coming back for work & the kids is not very likely .

I love ETS2! You should see some of the addons you can get (I assume you have them) - Best part is the online download you can get to truck with other truckers on the road!!! (Turning upto Hull with 200 other trucks is always a laugh!)

I don't know how to install them as it's on Steam, I have the extra country mod that you can actually buy off ETS2, same goes for my farming simulator lol.  Gets boring with standard gear, tried installing mods on farming simulator but it didn't work.  I haven't tried with ETS2 yet.  I have
