I do like a good film and a few (dozen) beers.  Trying to enjoy my remaining freedom before work on Friday.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I do like going through pictures on the laptop and coming across one I took of the flip calendar at my previous job and the daily saying for that day...

Very true.

Having a gander at my music videos on my iPad, coming across "Rockstar" by nickleback. Got a soft spot for that video!

And not going to lie a soft spot for Kendra Wilkinson in this too 😏

I haven't heard this in ages & still know it off by heart.  I like Kendra, except her voice, she'd have to have a sock put in her mouth for me haha

I like Syrup sandwiches.  Nom Nom Nom, IF I had Nutella in I'd combine the 2 which is just heaven

Autocorrect on sock? 😉

I was going to suggest something, but as this forum is family friendly I will refrain...

I do like the fuel economy of my old IDI...  Admittedly 200 of those miles were at a constant speed on the motorway so it won't be the same come the next refueling, but it does show what the car can do in the right conditions.

I also like receiving these in the post today - should make nighttime driving a little safer than the standard bulbs currently fitted!

I do like having a good old sarnie with some crisps for lunch. Sometimes simple is better!

That's better!

Do like being able to squeeze the dog into a vet at 6:00 tonight after she tore a claw halfway down...

Naturally I'll head over to the i don't like section to say I didn't like the whole episode itself!

Clear nail varnish to glue it back together and a bit of micropore for support.

Vet lopped it off, fortunately pets at home vet is 5 mins away

I do like having a lull in my near constant busy-ness to catch up on here, among other things:smile:

I might actually get more than 3 hours sleep tonight too:smile: although hopefully not in the bath like Sean

Have you tried syrup on fruit scones, it surpasses jam by a long way:smile:

Vets are great like that: unlike GPs who seem unable to see you for at least a fortnight, if it's urgent.

Some years ago, when Brandy had her bladder infection on a Sunday evening, when they weren't technically open for routine appointments.  They opened the surgery just for her and she had the undivided use of a vet and a nurse

The claw I assume: not the paw:unsure:

@jmurray01 I see you have acquired another car since I've been absent, sadly not a Ford though.  What are Hyundai like?

3 Hours sleep?  Rather you than me, I'm happy with my excessive 4-5 lol + Yes I have tried syrup on fruit scones, it's a nice combination actually, also really nice with homemade fruitcake.  Ours vets are brilliant, not so much with appointments(usually a couple of says) but the treatments are second to none.  Casper caught his tail in a door and they said if this stuff doesn't work it'll need to be chopped off & it's worked lol.  Would of preferred it to be chopped off as if it gets wet it's like a fan through water everywhere & it's like a whip

Haha yeh Ghana, claw not paw! Vet was very pleasant too, don't want to sound snobby, but pets at home seems like the obvious vet for everyone in the city, and so I had my doubts... But he was great. Pret was a nightmare however. He must have been about 80kgs, I'm about 105kgs, yet it took both of us to hold that wriggling monster 'semi' still!!! She may have short legs, but she has immense power in them!!

Indeed, it's getting ridiculous now all the cars coming and going.  This set up should be permanent though, as the 405 won't be going anywhere so long as there is breath in my body and the Hyundai is a good car.

They seem to be very well made and fuel economy (or lack thereof) aside, the 2.7 V6 is a great engine.  Time will tell though.  It has 120,000 miles at present, so at least another 100k to go

Was Pret's regular vet too far away then?

Brandy was the same wriggling monster, when it she had to have her stitches removed from her ear haematoma surgery in 2009. She was supposed to sit on the table whilst the vet removed the stitches. She had other ideas, wriggling and squirming, despite me holding her firmly at the front and two nurses at the back, she still managed to wriggle free each time.

In the end, the vet gave her a sedative, waited 10 minutes for it to work. Whereupon Brandy calmly laid down in a semi-snooze and didn't move at all:laugh: Even when one stubborn stitch needed more of a pull than the others.

You've got quite a knack of sourcing great value cars.  Ever thought of becoming a trader?

The fuel economy can't be as bad as my former BMW 740, if I drove like a granny having a particular slow day, I could just about squeeze 14mpg out of it.  Mind you, fuel economy wasn't paramount as a buying choice at the time.

Strangely, that is something that has been suggested to me.  Who knows!  Perhaps.

Good Lord that is bad!!  But as you say, fuel economy wasn't really a consideration when buying that kind of vehicle.

Haha yeh Ghana, it's in Jersey

Well, when we/she moved here permanently, she had to go somewhere for a lump check and we just panickingly took her to the pets at home vets, and yesterday was the second time she's been to the vets for a while, so we went with what we knew, actually fairly happy with them tbf.

I do like clients who pay their invoices almost the second they receive them!

This quite rare, most wait for the obligatory 30 days before they pay

Indeed!  No point in procrastinating, unless you don't have the funds that is.

Going on a mystery trip with my dad and a few of his friends...

Ended up on a private jet and now just north of Milan! Have a lovely hotel room overlooking a lake so very pleased.

Only left Germany yesterday, although I already miss it!

Like listening to a bit of Pink Floyd & Creedence Clear Water, got first night off in 3 weeks.  Happy days

The Wall and Dark Side Of The Moon late at night driving on a long duty always chills me out.

Sent from my SM-G930F

I do like having a long morning stroll with Brandy, on totally cloud free sunny morning, largely following the Stour northwards:smile:

There were quite a few anglers scattered along the banks this morning, whilst not one myself, and thus I may not be correct.  I thought the fish were less likely to leave the depths when it was bright and sunny.

My fence clip sliced finger is no longer painful, has stopped producing yellow extrudiate and is granulating nicely, since following Clive's suggestion yesterday.

Will your Dad be bringing back a Ferrari as a memento of the trip, for you Chris?
