I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

i like watching hilarious vids too, if there was one? lol

Yeah...  See that pedal in the middle?  It makes the car STOP!!

I hope to God she was learning to drive and didn't have a full licence at that point.  Either way, she should never get behind the wheel again.

ah , i see it now, shows nothing on the foc app, on the  website version it does

Lol, that's almost certainly an auto!  As if she could manage a stick shift...

I like the way they're all looking at it though!?  Just reverse it off!

My friends new (first) car...a 65 plate Fiesta Ecoboost Titanium...So jealous...

I do like finding the alleged "pickled hot chillies" from the ethnic aisle in Tesco, lived up to expectations and were hot  Unlike the week before, where the "pickled jalapenos" were about as hot as a refrigerated blancmange.  Oddly it's the same packer, Aleppo!

Brandy likes her new rubber spaniel shaped grooming and massager.  She used like a love glove but I haven't seen any for sale for a while, although having said that, they didn't last too long; the rubber part degrades quite rapidly and then goes brittle.

I do like remembering there was a £20 note in my jeans pocket...  Just before switching on the washing machine with the jeans in this evening.

Don't you do a pocket check before placing anything in the washing machine?

I do two pocket checks, one before adding soiled/worn item to laundry basket and then, one before placing it in the washing machine.  Previously, the odd thing has missed being found on the first check, like loo roll (a piece rather than whole roll!) and ended up being washed:huh:  So now, there are two checks

Tissue is particularly irksome to 'forget' in pockets: everything comes out flecked with tiny tiny balls of deconstructed loo roll!

Forgot to mention I like the price war I seem to have started between several insurers, each time I ring one to tell them another can go lower, they come back with lower again, on to the next, repeat, then back to the first one, and repeat again:smile:  I wonder how low they'll go?  Unfortunately, it expires on Saturday, so there is an end point I'll have accept before midday:huh:

That there's a terribly parked Audi? Really?

Nope, I usually do a pocket clearance before they enter the washing bin.  But there's very rarely anything left in pockets as I put everything in 'useful' places when I get home...  Keys ready to go out in case there's a fire, phone by the bed (in case I become paralysed during the night maybe lol?), wallet hidden in case someone breaks in lol...  So that only leaves a bit of loose change and loo roll that live in the same pocket...  Letting loo roll go through the wash is a nightmare as you say though!

I do like these lighter evenings - nearly 8pm and still light!  I also like that one of my mates works for an insurer and has got me an excellent deal on the GTi6.

Excellent remake of a classic from a new Irish Electronica  band "Le Galaxie"👍

I think it was stuck, as she did attempt to reverse it but it barely moved.  Probably wedged on the tree or something.  Definitely an auto, which makes it even more surprising that she could get mixed up between two completely opposite pedals...  GO and STOP.

Wow, way to stay within the lines Mr. Audi!

I do like the reassuring look of a full tank of fuel.  Don't like the fact that the prices are starting to increase again though...

Good stuff!  Having the car plus being able to take lessons should mean you'll pass your test very quickly.  The main reason I didn't start lessons until I was 20 is because I didn't have a car!  It's amazing how much motivation it gives you.

I had a car when I was 16, I learnt to drive before I should have done legally.  Passed my test 3 weeks after my 17th bithday. Didnt do me any good though, first accident after 3 days. Lol

That's what you get for jumping the gun!

Yep, totally agree, cocky teenager I was,

I self taught basic driving skills at a very early age round a field in ex autograss cars and was guilty of driving on the road at 14.

Haha yeah, plus I said to one of my friends that I was going to pass before him!

Can't wait....and I'll have all summer to practice and gain experience.

@iantt sounds like you were determined!  I've had quite a few lessons on private land so I'm pretty confident about getting on the road...my instructor said I was perfectly ready so that's reassuring!

Indeed, just make sure you get some experience in the dark too though, as that's the problem with learning in summer is that it is day-light almost all day and you need to experience what it is like to drive only by your headlights as well as having full day-time vision.

P.S.  You'd better not pass your test before me or I'll be seriously hacked off!

Part of me wishes I'd had the opportunity to do that, then I may not have had quite as much anxiety as I do today.
