  • The wait is finally over. I've picked up this beauty yesterday and had a chance to get to know her a little bit. This is my first sports car and a dream that I've always wanted to achieve so I can't e

My dealership sent me a cryptic email saying they are looking to increase production in Q4 - it seems like the dealerships actually know FA.

That would be nice, but from all the previous reports the opposite is going to happen..

Exactly what I thought, plus they gave me an ETA of October which would presumably mean a Q3 build.

I think they forget which customer is who most of the time.

I had an update yesterday and still saying October build.

hope they do ramp up production so I can get myself an ICE hatchback for what will probably be the last time.

Hi all - latest table below.

Interesting points....

table now ordered again by ordered date.

Build promises are kind of in order too, but there's a bit of a mixture for orders made in 2022.

No one had been given a later build month than October, and that still stands for most. Mine for instance was updated Monday, and is still oct build, and that hasn't changed since June.

Options don't appear to be having an impact on build dates. I.e there's no pattern to 125ps cars being build any earlier than 155ps, and same story goes for matrix and panos etc. It's all a bit random.

one outlier though, is the non registered member from the Netherlands. Ordered Dec 21 and has been told build week 5 of 2023. Would be interested to hear if they have any more info on that!

Hi all. Recently found an ST-X that will be produced in September and delivered in October so I jumped onto it. Originally I ordered a GTI back in Feb-22, but it kept getting pushed back and I'm sick of waiting.

Very psyched for the car! I don't know when the dealership originally ordered it, but I am seeing more Focus's hitting Polish dealerships this week.

Update the table for me please, I got an update last week and I'll get the car by mid September officially 🙂

hey, I'm the new user with a ST ordered in Belgium, I've added my situation to the file (great idea to collect that kind of info when Ford is not communicating transparently

My car has arrived at the dealership this morning, am going to see it tomorrow morning, do the paperwork and decide when it will be ready for me to collect.

Ordered 2nd Feb, ST-Line vignale 1.0L EcoBoost 155PS mHEV automatic, all options except pano roof.

As we have all said many times, there doesn't seem to be any logic on how Ford are deciding on which orders to make first.

If you can wait a few weeks, you can have a '72 plate.  Doesn't really matter if leased or financed, but if you intend to sell in future the plate age can make a difference.

Will do, hopefully get some tomorrow.  As it only arrived this morning, they will probably want to get it cleaned before I can see it.  But if I cant I will definitely when I get it home.

Its financed as I change my car every two years ish, so get a guaranteed buy back in the deal.

Hello,

I'm the (now registered user) guy from Holland who is now waiting for week 5 2023 for his car.

Ordered, via LeasePlan NL, by the dealer at December 21, 2021 and given delivery week 17, 2022 (last week of April). No communication til week 18 when in an email I was told that is was postponed to week 35, 2022. Last week I got another email saying it is postponed to week 5, 2023.

I ordered: Focus 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid 125pk Titanium Wagon 5d, Fantastic Red with: Family pack, Parking Pack, Winter Pack

I think the delay is in the Family Pack as it contains the handsfree opening and closing functionality of the backdoor. I read somewhere that it needs some hardware not in supply.

So for the moment I have only some CGI pictures....

Great news Duke, will be nice to see an ST Line vig with the matrix lights. Assuming you have them as you say all options except pano.

Thanks also to driving dutchman for the context there...

Hello Dutchy, thanks for the update.

Week 5 2023 is a long ***** wait, I would 100% be looking at an alternative, regardless of my like of Fords.

I looked at the sheet and saw that you have gone for agate black like me. Also saw your comment about washing.

Tip for all, and not sure if any of you are detailers. Here's a cautionary tale.

When me and the Mrs were ordering her puma, they were prep washing new 22 plate cars with a wash broom / brush. This frightened us, as it will immediately cause swirl marks on your brand new paint.

We asked for hers to be prepped without the brush, and it came with not a single mark on it.

My dealers agreed not to wash mine at all as its black.

Something you might want to mention, understand if your not bothered.

Might be worth to mention though as we witnessed the brush of doom as standard practice at our ford dealer.

Let's see how many detailers are on here....

Totally agree, those brushes cause crazy swirling on the paintwork.

Yes, piano black plastics on mine were wrecked by poor detailing before delivery.  Plus I thought there was a scuff on two alloys that turned out to just be muck/tyre black on closer inspection!  They'd also removed all of the interior plastic delivery coverings that I specifically asked them not to remove.

Don't suppose most will care.  But for those that do, I'd definitely recommend just asking them not to wash before delivery.

Thanks both for the heads up, I will definitely be having that discussion tomorrow with my dealer.

I will be getting my Focus ceramic coated.

Also, as suggested will ask for no brush clean, noodle microfibre glove only - even then i might say dont clean it at all.

Beware of their response duke, oh we would never use those.

Trust me, I've seen em....
