elkanah
Had car magazine say it is 5th best car you can buy in UK. I agree!! on another matter my mp3 won't work in usb slot, anyone got any ideas? Have you tried formatting it as a FAT32? Worked for me. Not the NTFS thats most likely if you recently had the stick on a computer.
Phil 87
on another matter my mp3 won't work in usb slot, anyone got any ideas? I had some issues with mine too, I think the Ford system doesn't like some USB sticks. This is the one I bought recently which has been working flawlessly: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cruzer-Fit-Flash-Drive-SDCZ33-064G-B35/dp/B00FJRS6QY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1424269454&sr=8-2&keywords=small+usb+stick (32GB version)
SuperAl
The usb being formatted as ntfs is the most likely reason - certainly was with mine. I have one of these at the moment: http://www.base.com/buy/product/sandisk-ultra-fit-high-speed-usb-3-0-flash-drive-32gb-sdcz43-032g-g46/dgc-sdcz43-032g-g46.htm?awc=2694_1424269843_0eb5d021d946e436355a279a6a72b5e3

Looks like I had nothing to worry about if it works for you. What was it like transferring your music onto that? Mine was painfully slow. Ohhhbai
Last month I replaced my pride and joy white Zetec S ecoboost with a new Black Edition. Loved my old car bought thought a change would be nice. Took delivery of the black edition on the worst possible day, snowy/rainy/general crap weather. My first impressions were that the car drove better than the Zetec S but probably looks a bit tacky compared to my old one. Still liking it though. Now for the negetive; The car keeps cutting out or losing power under heavy acceleration :S. The radio will cut out, the lights on the dash will come on and all the dials will go to 0. It will cut out for only 1second or so and then go back to normal. It seems to be a intermitted problem. Bringing it in tomorrow for them to have a look at it. Hopefully its something simple. Anyone else having any similar issues? Wish I got an ST :|
Ffoxy
I saw a similar thread from a guy in Denmark or Norway. Took lots of visits until a Ford specialist rather than a dealership identified a software issue I think. The thread is in here somewhere. Ohhhbai
Thanks Ffoxy, I'll have a search for it.
JRM
Phone call from the dealer today. My red has arrived. Couldn't stop myself going to have a look after work. Looks even better in the flesh than in photos. Picking it up on sunday. Little bit excited.
bezzer
Lucky you!!! I'm still waiting for mine :( Out of interest, what plate will it have on it 64 or 15? As i think the dealer is holding me out for a 15 so when i return it in 2yrs its held its value better.
JRM
Going to be 15 plate. Ordered it end of December so have been waiting a good long time for it. Luckily i haven't been hit with any delays like some others. The dates they gave me right from the start have been spot on.
bezzer
Nice. Please let us know what you think. I wish my dealer was as accurate. I've been told any day for the last 4 weeks.
panjuices
Mine's being delivered on Monday. A Red on a '15 plate. Tbh I sort of didn't want the '15 weird as it sounds. It's a lease so it makes no odds to me but it just worked out with the dates. @Bezzer - You're getting a lease/PCP through the dealer? Hope you got a good deal - the branch I went in didn't have a clue and they were a country mile away from using an actual lease company. Very individual but the experience made me think that if I was buying outright in the future I'd just go through a broker. Some of the stuff they were coming out with was laughable. JRM
Will do. Surely your dealer should at least be able to find out where the car is to give you an idea. My car still had the sticker on with all of the dates of where it had been and when. I will try and work out how to upload it.
Ffoxy
My PCP is £139 a month for my "Black" I'm still chuffed to bits with it, goes well! Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC mobile app
bezzer
I'm leasing, so I'm only being fed information by the leasing company. might be doing the dealer an injustice, but can only go on what I'm being told. I too was not bothered about the plate as its only a lease, but to the people getting the car back after it matters I guess. I've been told it's in the country & in a hold somewhere. Its a 2yr lease at +3 £151 a month 10k a year mileage.
JRM
Here you go. Car straight off the transporter and picture of the sticker. It seems to me they should know exactly where each car is at any one time and should be able to tell you.

bezzer
Looks great! I've been told they'd tracked it into the country & could even probably send me a picture. But now it's in a hold waiting to be delivered to the dealer. there was (supposedly) a quality hold on all fiestas there's probably a back log, which is causing the delay. cgooderham94
My PCP is £139 a month for my "Black" I'm still chuffed to bits with it, goes well! Is this because you have family working for ford? What deposit did you lay down and how many miles, I'm curious how you got it so cheap! Chri592
Loving my red edition Fiesta! With city driving I get around 270-300 miles out the tank, and considering (Regardless of it being a 1 litre) it is a car with power, I'll settle for the minor shortfall from my old corsa!! I'll be giving it a run down the dual carriageway for the football sometime in march so I'll get a better idea of what its capable of then! It's great having the power to accelerate off quickly from a standstill as well as the kick of power you get in 2nd and 3rd gear especially! Superb! Got a couple of most likely stupid questions though...... 1) When I fill up with petrol from near a near empty tank the nozzle seems to cut off and click after about 10 litres or so goes in, which seems strange? I put more petrol in and it goes all the way up to the amount I'd expect. Just seems weird, any ideas? 2) I've turned the speed adjusted volume off completely but yet when i'm driving at a constant speed or at a standstill, the volume will occasionally lower then return to the set level. Its almost like it fades in and out for no reason. If it makes any difference I just went for the DAB Radio, not the sony one. 3) How would you guys recommend cleaning the interior dashboard as its not the same finish as most cars, almost like a soft finish, you guys know what I mean obvs. Cheers Chris
MarksST
You can clean the dash with any dash cleaner, I would avoid one s with silicon in them as they make the dash shiney. I find the texture snags on microfibres making it difficult to wipe, i got some cloths from Halfords which don't snag at all making it easier. Can't help with the others as I have the auto volume on and I've not noticed the fuel issue although it could be the angle your holding the nozzle at or how far you've pushed it in. JRM
Bezzer the quality hold seems to be to do with the rear seatbelts. Not quite sure how mine missed out on that. But sounds like my build date was later than yours so they must have sorted the problem by the time mine was made. Hope you get a delivery date soon. Will write up a road test after i have picked the car up.
bezzer
cheers JRM. I hops so too, been walking everywhere this last week as I'm now carless! Good write up Chris, I'm intrigued to know how fast these cars actually feel as I read they seem faster than the figures suggest. Just want my hands on it :)
GTI20
well ive had mine black since 1 des. have 3600km on the clock now.. just love this little rat. had some trubles with it the first month.. Good write up Chris, I'm intrigued to know how fast these cars actually feel as I read they seem faster than the figures suggest. Just want my hands on it :) Being complete honest I'm not a car enthusiast and have little knowledge of them so its hard to really give an idea except.....its a hell of alot quicker than my old 2006 Corsa C 1.2L.....but come on thats not difficult! Only thing I'll say, as everyone probably all knows, I'd recommend letting the tyres wear in a bit first. The first few days I was incredibly cautious driving - Its my first BRAND NEW Car! - as I got a bit of confidence with it I realised that the tyres weren't quite as grippy just yet. Purely just the control of the car. I've nearly hit 500 miles on mine now so I'll be keen to give it a good drive on the country roads soon!
