I'd be sweating my knackers off in your house then 😂😂😂

Only the living room is at 22c, rest of rooms vary 16-18c.

Just a 4 bed house.

£15 is only a snapshot for today only . Normally it's £7-8

I'd be gutted if it was £15 a day. 😂😂😂😂

Got a cold hot tub warming the 1200litres of  water up from 6c to 37.5c. tub was serviced today and water drained/cleaned and refill. 😂😂

Leave the hot tub on 👍just out of curiosity what time are you going to work tomorrow 🤣

15 -18 max here. Don't like it too warm indoors.

Now, that's a 'man' temperature, women prefer 25 - 30 🤣

It's always on as such. Just waiting for the buttons to be pressed for the 2 X 2hp pumps to massage me from the jets. The controls are idiot proof if your thinking of going in😂😂😂

It makes a change to come home from work and put some clothes on 😲

Shorts n tshirt all day at work gets a little tiresome 🤔

The photo is the smart meter we have in the UK to monitor energy use in the home.

We are so primitive here in Greece...We still have the analogic meters for counting the Kws the houses consume.

And our Greek Electricity Company is way too expensive than yours.

We are an expensive country to everything...

Yes, but you also had one of the most flamboyant and intelligent finance ministers in Yanis Varoufakis. Didn't agree with all he did, but heart was in the right place when he told the EU to go and do one!!

Probably a good thing. The old Ferranti mechanical meters were reliable and could be refurbished for an almost indefinite life. I've lost count of how many faulty meters we've had replaced since "modern" digital meters came in.😀

And he got extra brownie points for having a big motorbike!😀

Oddly, Northern Ireland Electric are working through an ongoing program to replace all 'old fashioned wheeled' meters with new digital  ones with LCD screens. I was contacted last month for an appointment to switch, which I then arranged. However, on doing research after about what it was being replaced to, I called to cancel and asked them to remove me from their 'upgrade' list. My old 'wheel' has worked perfectly for 30 years, I reckon an LCD screen would start to fail after about 6 to 7 years. Just because it's 'new', does not mean it's 'better'!

A can of Heinz baked beans in Sainsburys recently bought at 50p currently £1.00p.

Lidls own brand beans still at 21p. If it's a 'taste' thing, add a few jalapenos, splash of worcestshire sauce, salt/pepper, & even garlic paste - delicious!

I bought an alternative for 70p didn’t notice any difference.

Was out shopping earlier today in my 2 x stores that are my favourite choice. Home Bargains (if you must have Heinz) were selling 12 x cans for £7, works out at 58p/can, and of course, confirmation of Lidl beans at 21p. If you can afford Sainsburys, great, I never could...

Was wondering if Home Bargains deliver for free.Nearest is approximately 80 miles away though.Perhaps they could drop off a pallet load to make it worth while😀

LOL, guess I'm lucky, I have a Lidl and Home Bargains both just a couple of miles away. I know HB do a 'click & collect', and home delivery for big items, like garden furniture etc. But I fear a beans delivery may no be eligible 🤣

Interesting.

In most of the UK certification periods for meters are governed by the Electricity Act. It varied according to type of meter but was in the region of 10 -20 years - may be different now, it's a long while since I left the industry. So meters had to be replaced every so often when the certification ran out. In the old days, unless damaged beyond repair, they were totally refurbished, recertified and put back out onto the network.

The old Ferranti Disc meters started being replaced by digital ones years ago (they were much cheaper to buy) and you just got one of them by default when your old meter needed replacement for certification reasons.

Now we have the "smart" meter and you do have a choice whether to have one of not, whatever the supplier tells you, but if you decline it will still be a digital meter, only dumb. Many "smart" meters seem to go dumb after a while anyway!

However, I if I remember right, the Act didn't apply to NI so it sounds like you've had a bonus there, Stephen.😀

Either need to put them somewhere higher up, or get some spray that puts off dogs chewing things (can't remember the name of the stuff we got years back, but it put off our pups chewing said sprayed items).

Hopefully there is no issue with the small shared that they have ingested.

I don't like that the roof above my flat has a large amount of damage from the storm. The rest of the roof above the block of flats is fine from what I saw earlier, as do pretty much all of the buildings around us on the development.

Nipped out earlier to take some rubbish to the bin store and saw one of the hefty brick type tiles embedded into the grass at the rear door. I was in the bin store for less than a minute and came out to see the building cladding also coming off from the flat beneath mine.

I like the fact that I was able to finish work an hour and half early but not that I can't find my glasses/case.

I know I has them in the reception along with gloves/waterbottle/phone and safety knife all of which are at home bit no sign of the glasses.

Fingers crossed I've left them there and they have been handed in.

This week that almost had passed , i did not liked at all, the continuously rising of the fuel price here in Greece...

Prices fluctuate from 1,97 euro per litre to 2,30 euros per litre in the mainland and a little bit more expencive to the islands...

And only god knows where will the fuel price climb...

I think that we have to do something about it but i do not know what.

I am so fu####g angry with all those assh###s that rule the kingdom of fuel...

Wow, that's expensive!! Unfortunately there's not much the average person can do. Can't see it coming down anytime soon.

One of the biggest cons played on the UK motorist, was selling petrol in liters! No one batted an eyelid at petrol going to £1.10/liter, but that was the magic £5/gallon barrier! There would have been numerous raised eyebrows in true British style LOL (The French would have overthrown the government!)
