With respect to all you Morrison shoppers, I reckon you would fall into a group of where a £3.50 saving wouldn't upset your payment of the electric bill at all. Can't wait for Lidl to start selling petrol LOL

I bought some peanuts once at Lidl, then I shopped at a supermarket 😂

Worked on the laptop...not sure why it didn't on the phone!  However, I still can't actually email anyone!  It's just a series of buttons that eventually leads me back around the the 'print the label & return the item' screen with no other options.

Print a return postage label or get your own and add tracking details within 7 days of dispatching the item. We'll send a refund when tracking shows that the item has been delivered.

Royal mail tracking shows the item as delivered on Feb 14th - but ebay's tracking system is just stuck on dispatched so no refund processed.

Tom, I have another link, though it's for Ebay.ie - can't find an equivalent 'UK' one. There's no doubt that in the 20 years I've been on Ebay, it has become increasingly more difficult to contact them. Even 'Sky' which is a large company use to be fairly straightforward as you could phone straight through to their Scottish call center. Yesterday I spent 98 minutes to an Indian call center and still have not resolved the issue! I'm usually very persistent, but after yesterday, I'm almost resigned to giving Sky £5/month more than they are due to to a billing/subscription error, it just wore me down which is no doubt, their strategy!

Finally found a way to email...certainly not simple!

1. Scroll to the very bottom of the 'Help articles' page

2.Click the link to 'Contact Us' if you need more help.

3. That opens the AI chat box (which obv can't help with a manual processing issue like mine) but you have to add the item number to move forward with that.

4. AI chat says 'oh, I can't help with that' and gives the option of webchat or callback.

5. Underneath those, it then gives a 'get in touch with us' hyperlink for visual or hearing impaired (notably does not use the word 'email')

6. Then the email form opens, you have to manually add the item number again, despite having just put it in the AI chat.

7. You can finally send them an email!

Amazingly, within 10 minutes of sending it, I had a reply to say the refund had been issued and the case had been closed!!

I hope you get a positive resolution to the Sky issue, £5 a month is almost a tank of fuel over a year!  I know what you mean about getting worn down though.  So many times I just give up trying to get anywhere with emails.  I know I'm often asking questions no-one else has ever asked, so there's no 'script' covering them, but I'm amazed at some of the responses I get!  Either 'just phone us' after specifically mentioning that I can't use phones...or generic information, often pulled from a webpage that I've already read, which just vaguely touches on a keyword out of my email, but without any actual relevance to the question asked.

The issue with Sky is entirely of their making. I had an 'entertainment' package up to the end of 2019, which (unknowingly to me) included the kids packages. They dissolved that package so charging the 'kids package' separately at £5/month. I only noticed on Friday when they told me it was increasing by £1/month!

I'm a single guy with no kids, never watched a kids channel in my life LOL Yet now I'm stuck paying £6/month for it as they can cancel, but that would increase my monthly payment as apparently they applied a discount that will be removed on cancellation, and won't credit the 2 years I paid for something I never wanted - you gotta laugh LOL

Never having even heard of, 'sponge bob...', I assume you are quite happy with your Sky Kids package 🤣 LOL

No idea what sky package Ive got.

edit, just checked and nope, no kids TV on my package. Due for renewal in may. Probably cancel the lot and send the q box back. Only had it due to us not being able to go out because of covid restrictions.

Lad at work did his last day today before he travels to Ukraine. He is or was a reservist in the Ukraine army.

I'm sure we all wish him and his country well. It certainly puts our "problems" on here in perspective.

Has anyone else noticed 'Latest Posts' has disappeared when browsing on mobile?

Tap the 3 lines, then Latest Posts...but then have to go to 'activity streams' and then tap 'latest posts' on there as it's disappeared from the page.

Thought I was going mad the first few times I hit the wrong heading out of habit but I've just realised what's happened lol.  I guess it's a forum limitation from an update but it does seem odd we now have to make 4 taps just to see the latest posts!

Not noticed tbh and I only use the mobile for forum.

Only annoying thing ( apart from myself) is that when reading latest posts in a topic you sometimes get a clickable link pop up saying there has been further replies whilst you have been reading the current ones so when you click the notifications link at the bottom to read the new replies and you've read them and go to your next topic of choice, the same notifications are still at the top of page to take you back to the topic you have just read 🙄

Have you checked the " content view behaviour " within your settings on the forum ?

Thanks for that, wasn't aware of those settings.  However, I've just checked and there's nothing in there about the latest post link.  Does make me wonder if there are other settings hidden so will keep looking for now. 🤔

Lol, I also noticed the same thing with the 'added posts'.  It's a better system than another forum I use though.  Over there the notifications don't disappear even after clicking through them.  Only way to clear them is 'mark all read' but then I always wonder if I've missed any!

Just a thought Tom, when you click on the FOC on your homepage on your mobile does it take you to the homepage of this forum ?

Only just seen this!  (No notification without a quote or tag lol).

It does take me to the homepage instead of forum pages, yeah.

Ah, that might be why. Have it set to open on the latest posts page instead.👍

I've just realised the folded newspaper icon takes you to new posts in one tap.

All the time I've wasted doing it the long way! 🤦‍♂️

I do NOT like it when huge companies send you a message saying they are changing their terms & conditions, sending you a link to a legal document larger than any normal person can read, then give you the option that if you don't like it - leave!

Ebays latest T&Cs, which no man has ever read LOL

  • 2 weeks later...

I thought I would get away without one of these. Damn!
