StephenFord
I don't like that my beloved cat came in last night with an injured paw, obviously in pain and distress. On a morning visit to the vet, she got an anti inflammatory injection, and a course of antibiotics. It was £80 well spent, and appointment was offered within an hour of me phoning them. Something to be said for private health care.

Chrome wouldnt open the webpage for some reason until i deleted all the cookies.... The problem with FOC and Firefox has taken a new turn today. Apart form crashing more than 10 times, I notice that for some reason Spell Checker is no longer working on the forum. I've tried typing things on eBay and Spell Checker works as normal.

Mine seems to be fixed now, no problems today. I did clear the Cache and Cookies and I'm not sure if that fixed it or not, you did say yesterday that you did that too and it did not fix your problem. I've just checked the Spell Checker and that works too.

Uninstalled FireFox, reinstalled but still no difference. The fact that spell check stopped working this morning forced my hand in to deleting FF and putting it back. I've only just got spell check working again, albeit using American English, I wonder if that is because this is an American constructed website ? alexp999
This website doesn’t have a spell checker. That’s a feature of your browser.

Yes, I realise it is a function of FF but for some reason this morning it stopped working on the FOC site while it was still working on eBay. I've got it working again on the FOC site but only after changing to American English 🙄, still it's better than nothing. I'm going to try and start again from the bottom tomorrow and see if I can clear any possible issues at my end.
TomsFocus
On the subject of tech issues... I've been setting up my new Win11 laptop this morning. All working fine so far except for one thing. Gmail won't sync with the Outlook app for some reason. Hotmail syncs fine. I've checked that IMAP is enabled. Tried switching the laptop off & on a couple of times. Still just says 'nothing has arrived yet'. Any ideas?
Jimpster
standard issue with gmail and outlook there is a workaround for it from memory its a manual setup dont allow ey=ther to do it
TomsFocus
Still can't get Gmail to appear in the Mail app. Does anyone know the manual changes required? Must admit, so far I don't have any complaints about Win11. I've been able to customise taskbar and notifications easily. Everything is working super quickly - although I did go for the i5 processor, instead of the i3 of my previous laptop, so that probably helps. Only thing lacking is the 'time remaining' on the battery. Just shows a percentage now which makes it difficult to predict how long the battery will last. Online search suggests a lot of people are missing this feature so hopefully it will be added in time.

Is there not an 'app' for that? There is for everything else! LOL

I know FOC don't like to think it is anything to do with their website but I've been having serious problems all day, but only with the FOC site. Even spent time on amazon, Halfords and eBay doing lots of searches and using the back page, and not once did it crash. Came back to FOC and within two minutes the site crashed. It has to be a website coding issue but unless enough complain it is likely never to get fixed 🙁 @unofix we are looking in to this issue. Would you be able to help me my messaging me a time when it happens so i look back in the logs to see whats going on?? I suspect its the anti spam firewall.

zain611
Don't like having a little confrontation today on the road 😬. Was passing the supermarket entrance on my right and was at a zebra crossing. Had a guy come to my right side trying to come in. Don't know if he came out that road or tried overtaking cars on the right turn lane. Didn't allow him then can see him tailgate me. Braked a little hard accidently when I saw how close the car was in front of me with my eyes focused at him close behind. Guy then tried getting out his car twice, walked to my car and started saying you some kind of bigman followed by the blinding swearing. Mentioned about his daughter in the car who hurt me the most. I said to him what where you doing back there though he followed up by spitting on the glass and on my head. My main worry now is I hope he doesn't try anything on my car if he ever sees me again. I do feel sorry the most for his daughter as I didn't mean or knew I hurt her though I feel sorry she has a dad like that and it doesn't affect her growing up. Dad gave me some reassurance and that hopefully most people just move on from stuff on the road after a few days. As I have a unique number plate I'm just hoping that he don't remember it.
