Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

I don't like Windows 10 taking a crap less than a week after installing... Yep, think I may have made a mistake as Windows 7 never gave me any problems, and 10 has potentially fatally crashed in less than 7 days.

It keeps saying "signing out" and even doing a hard reset won't work...

Finally got it to sign out of my mother's account and now it won't accept my password when it is the same password I have had for 6 months!!

BLEEPING HELL!

Log into Microsoft on a pad or phone and reset the password that way.

You can roll back to the OS to 7 if you want.

Looks like there is some information on this looking on google quickly, but mostly from previous versions of Windows (apparently the same error can happen on WIndows 7). Maybe you'll be able to find a solution online e.g. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-security/the-user-profile-service-service-failed-the-logon/d3aec3e0-9d6a-4eae-aee8-fdf3ad8b65b7?db=5&auth=1

I know that one is for Windows 7 but it's probably the same error. Did you do a fresh install or just an upgrade from Win 7? I haven't Made the leap to Win 10 yet but will definitely be doing a clean install when I get round to it.

The password isn't wrong though, I am currently successfully logged in on various devices!

Tesco craftily used exactly the same interface as bag points had for the 5p bag fee, loads of people got caught out to start with. :o

I usually take far too many bags for life with me, as you never know what you might mind amongst the discounted leaves and deli items :)

On one occasion when I brought in an appropriate number, in this case two, they were awash with discounted olives and bags of mixed leaves. I ended up with everything loose in my trolley and two tightly packed bags

We have different shopping habits lol, I only ever get a basket so I can't spend too much in one go (it's only me here though!) so two BFLs always does me! :D I don't really get tempted by offer items either, just take a list and that's what I get lol, bit boring really lol!

I had a 'doh' moment last week though...taking 3 items to the checkout and realised I hadn't got any bags in my pocket! I was so set against paying 5p for a bag I was thinking about walking back to the car to get a bag first...then realised I could carry 3 items without a bag anyway...

I don't like finding a MK4 Fiesta Ghia-X which is in my price range, only for it to be located over 100 miles away!

I also shop with a list but also keep eye out for discounted olives, bags of leaves, offal (for both the dog and I).

My shopping list is always written out in the order, my trolley will be filled  Heavy bulky things (except loo rolls), like 32 bottles of water, cat litter, 12 packs of whiskas, then the rest of the shopping, in order of the aisles  Except when there is something frozen: frozen items are always selected last - the theory being there is less time for them to thaw on the way home :) They go an insulated bag but even so, they will still begin to thaw. Loo rolls are the last item, when I'm not buying frozen things, as they are too bulky and take up trolley space and too large to fit in a bag - it's more cost effective to buy 24 roll packs.

I found that but the other way round when looking at MK2 Foci, all the best one were 450+ miles away :(

Given your location Jamie, I'd imagine most cars are miles away lol! It does always seem to be the way with cars though, even now I live in the suburbs...

Ghana, that is an awesome way to write the list!! The same way I methodically plan things. :D Really irritates me when I see people putting frozen and light stuff at the bottom of their trolley haha! As for loo rolls, I suffer from IBS so buying any less than a 24 pack is a little pointless!

Corrupted user profile then.

My brother is one of those, shopping without a list, and without trolley order - yet he wonders why so many of his eggs are broken, buns are squashed and his frozen products have thawed the time he gets home.

I've heard IBS is one of the worst things, amongst the chronic illnesses to have, in terms of loss of quality of life. :(

That's nothing, I went down to Cardiff (200 odd miles) to pick up one of my dad's xr3i's. Must be a good one to have made the journey back being 28 years old!

If i had a dash cam it'd be interesting to watch back, a pick up lost its Christmas tree in the road I was doing 70 on the dual carriageway (ahem) when I noticed tail lights pulling off onto the hard shoulder... It was a strange pull off so it caught my attention, then all of a sudden my headlights picked up a Christmas tree lying in the middle of lane 1! Managed to swerve in time, stuck the hazards on to warn the van that was screaming up behind (who also nearly rear ended me)... Hope the bloke got his tree back safely!

That would be a dash cam footage worth watching :)

A christmas tree is one of those things you don't expect to find lying ahead of you, I wonder, what if anything he'd tied it down with?

On the road between Milan and La Spezia, on a sweeping bend, in the mountainous part, I once encountered millions of oranges all over the road, in all lanes and partially in the other carriageway too. :o

The whole autostrada was covered in loose oranges. The road train that had been hauling them had jack-knifed, the middle of the three trailers had fully overturned with the end trailer leaning at 45°; spewing oranges out.

Haha, I often wonder how people enjoy their bread that's sat under the 4kg box of washing powder... Half size sandwiches.

IBS sucks massively, moaning about it doesn't help though and it's not uncommon - just have to try and look on the bright side and have a laugh about it...receiving toilet rolls as gifts and buying cars with full leather 'wipe clean' seats for example lol. ;) It does limit my 'range' though, can't travel far which is annoying, but I know people with the same problems that do travel so that's something I need to work on.

IBS is horrible. My mum has Crohns which is worse and it's a very dehabilitating disease. :(

And I thought ibs was irritable !Removed! syndrome, got that in my household.

:D

Our daughter has Crohns. Had a lot of her bowel removed. Terrible disease, ruined her life, but she always tries to keep smiling. Puts me to shame sometimes, when we complain about the odd aches and pains !!.

Yep my mum had hers removed about 20 years ago. She has suffered with Crohns all her life and it has messed up a lot of it. Doctors even said it was unlikely for her to have children as well, but here I am. :)

She had an ileostomy 4 years ago now and it's changed her life. She's so much better for it. Before she had it done she was on a liquid diet for 2 years. :(

Hope your daughter is OK. :)

I think it was just the fact that it had no sort of illumination at all... Kind of expected from a freshly cut tree...

I think because he had a pick up, he'd just chucked it in the back...

The funny thing was, it was either 2 trees, or one Tree now in two parts... Me and the wife had laughing fits about it thinking about a bloke getting home saying "THERES THE ****ING TREE!"

That would be a dash cam footage worth watching :)

Bet that was a squash using only 1 lane to drive past it.

Taking my boots off after an insane day only to have my wife walk around the room with a funny look on her face saying "I think Pretzel has just shat somewhere?"

(Pretzel = dog, for those that aren't aware...)

You can only but try with posted voucher, whilst it's connected with your clubcard, it won't be connected directly with today's transaction

Turned out you can't use the vouchers afterwards. So I returned the most expensive item and then bought it again with the voucher. ;)

Thanks Christopher.

She's married and they have a son of 16 ( had him against doctors orders ) so we know how this horrible disease affects sufferers and their families.

Good luck to your mum for the future. :)

Oh that's great! He's the same age as me haha

Thanks, hopefully the worst is behind us now. :)

Nice one :)

Brandy the dog, twice demonstrated she's getting on a bit, she couldn't thrust herself up into the Focus boot today. Twice she had to be lifted in, which she's not too sure about - most other occasions involving being lifted, are at the vets. She is still supple enough to jump down and run crazily about though.

Time to think about building her a ramp

Oddly enough, we did have a poo in the lounge earlier. :o My Mum mistook Brandy's "open the backdoor, I need the lawn now" bouncing for a "let me have the cheese straws you offering to your friend" bounce :(
