Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

Given your location Jamie, I'd imagine most cars are miles away lol! It does always seem to be the way with cars though, even now I live in the suburbs...

True, although I still manage to find bargains, just not Ford Fiesta Ghia models... Mind you, they say that sometimes you should let the memory remain that, a good memory. If I were to buy another MK4 maybe I wouldn't be so satisfied with it as I was the first and that would ruin my memories of our old one.

Corrupted user profile then.

Oh, wonderful! I have two choices then, research how to fix it or drink Jim Beam...

I'm going to opt for Jim Beam!!

Brandy doesn't seem to want her bowl of necks :(

This suggests she's already "helped" somebody else with their cod-pieces :o

The Jim Beam is a good option for Friday night :)

I'd prefer the cod to necks as well, if I'm honest...

Things I don't like - the idiot VW Scirocco driver that purposely blocked me off.

I was in a queue of cars waiting at a roundabout. The exit the VW driver wanted to take was clearly full, but he decided to proceed, and sit in the middle of the roundabout, blocking me and everyone behind. I gave him a "what are you doing" hand sign, and he started making a "what am I supposed to do" hand signal. I pointed to where he should have stopped. Meanwhile, the cars in front of him had already moved forward, but he stood still.

I blasted my horn, and he gave me a cold stare and kept put. The patience of the drivers behind me ran out, and several other cars started blasting their horns. He finally moved a few moments later. I guess it did prove one thing - that he has a tiny !Removed!.

He must be having a day off from driving his BMW

He is a VW driver, so what do you expect!?

Not sure if this is suitable for here of the vauxhall thread...

I was waiting for a space in the user busy supermarket today, one came available so I let them out me being first in line moves to reverse into the space only to find the poxhall behind me indicating to move into the same space! Cheeky beggar!

Well it's something you didn't like - so it fits here :)

And it's about a vauxhall - so it also fit's there :)

Did they try to move into the space?

Yeh they did, they tried indicating and moving into the space before I finished my now sped up significantly reverse manoeuvre. I glared at them as they passed afterward lol. I mean I know it's Christmas but fighting over a space? Really??

I don't like being paid £7p/h, and the fact it is my own doing. Unless I earn more in the future, I'll never be able to even book a Haven holiday, let alone think about saving for a mortgage etc...

What do you do?

What do you do?

Talk to idiots.

Otherwise known as a customer service adviser.

Should become a vintage appliance restorer and dealer... Must be money in that? :)

Must admit, I have the same thoughts albeit for different reasons. Life seems to cost so much for just 'basics' let alone mortgages etc!

To be honest there isn't, nobody (aside from the niche market for fellow collectors) wants vintage appliances.

Oh I see, that's out then lol.

Ah, Yeh I can see how that's gotta be a nightmare for £7ph.

Anything else that interests you? Job wise that is..

Law interests me. I worked in an Estate Agency for almost 2 years as an apprentice and would love to get back into that line of work again, even if it was just office admin in that setting.

Without so much as a Business & Administration qualification though getting another job like that is nigh on impossible.

So of course, what I need to do is GET the damn qualification.

There's a chap in Westbourne (a suburb of Bournemouth) with a shop, who manages to make a living as "The Vacuum Hospital", restoring "health" to old and vintage vacuums. Having said that, he is also a Numatic dealer and repair centre. Which probably subsidises the hospital into a viable business.

Can't you get back into estate agency business via the sales side?

I've got a mate who's a sales manager for Mann & Co, they are always looking for sales people who can actually sell rather than those, whose qualifications say they can: but can't, when in the field.

One of his best people, had nothing on paper, but she could outsell everyone else in the area. And one of his worst, he lasted a week, had an MBA, and shed load of business qualifications - but he could neither relate to the customers, nor sell a bowser of water to someone on fire

The assembly instructions to the big christmas tree are missing

Whilst colour coded, the tree stem has lost it's respective markers :(

That means I've got measure all the individual branches, to work which goes were :(

Google has been no help :(
