Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

I don't like my tug breaking down, well I say broken down the engine has seized in it now after the terberg tech started it up to listen to it, reved it and it cut out and seized the engine. So I now have to use a unit to shunt trailers round the yard. Makes the job a lot harder without the tug.

I don't like the gale driven rain, that has accompanied us all day, each time we go out - wet enough at the moment for Brandy, to get sodden on the 10M walk to the car

I don't like walking back to the car loaded with shopping to find my remote locking isn't working...and theres a man shouting about a hooded youth trying to nick his car...

...Turns out mine was 4 spaces away, too many dirty black Focii about atm!

Reminds of an incident I had with a Cortina back in the 1980's, at the local breakers.

I put my bits and toolbox in the boot, and drove back home. It was I glanced down, to put a tape in, I noticed there was no carpet. :o My Cortina had carpet: this was clearly someone else's :o I was now some distance away!!

After doing a U-turn, I tentatively drove back to the breakers car park; my Cortina was still there. Pulling alongside it, I transferred my stuff, from the wrong boot to my boot, half expecting it's rightful owner to challenge me, as to why I was in his car. He never appeared, thankfully :)

What was odd, was I had custom sprayed mine in purple metalflake: whereas the one I'd got into was a purpley-blue and not metallic, so it's not as if they were the same colour. The locks on those era of cars, were quite pointless, as you could open and start them with anything flat.

The ubiquitous Tina never fails to make one grin :) . . . or is it grimace :(

A mince pie might be good candidate, there's a lot of them about at the moment, even Barclays had them on the counter, on Friday. Free pens and mince pies for their customers, while you bank.

Or a sausage roll, the sausage part can hold on to it's heat

For the love of God - not a hot one!! Or that'll be the next palate burn.

Edit - that was your point, that it might be the next culprit. I need to remember to turn my brain back on after leaving work...

I don't like making it through 8 hours at work and then having a panic attack in MY OWN HOME. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have wanted to have it at work, but at home relaxing - seriously!?

Sadly, it is a part of my life I now expect on a daily basis. Still shaking, but at least I can breathe again.

Have a large G & T . . . . & don't forget the Gin . . . :)

The downside of Gin is that it is a depressant . . . . . . :(

Red wine seems to be helping... I think.

To be honest I don't care if it is depressive, as long as it calms me down.

No doubt it's good . . . but Pusser's Gunpowder proof dark rum is my best friend :)

JW black label neat is rather pleasant but i couldn't bear to dilute it - same with Jamesons :)

I don't like not being able to get hold of half the people I need to speak to, today. Not much progess today :( they're all out of the office :( presumerably, on department/office/company christmas lunches

As a recent convert, I can vouch Pussers Gunpowder proof :)

If you start drinking after every panic attack you'll end up as an alcoholic relying it eventually... :( Watch some TV or put on some music or something instead, I find TV comedies are one of the few things that I can get 'immersed' in and out of my brain...it's not a nice place in there lol! Either that or killing people on the xbox seems to help lol.

I'm also in a !Removed!, anxious mood after getting stuck behind at a lane hogger that tried to run a van off the road while holding me and everyone else in the overtaking lane up...I resisted the urge to undertake her twice and when she did finally pull over was still adamant she'd still done nothing wrong, swearing and gesturing at me... It was only 2 minutes or so but leaves extra-heightened anxiety for hours after, does my head in.

I don't like having a local company phone me over 20 times today (presumably to try and sell me something like phone systems) and not get the hint that I don't wish to answer the phone. They had the opportunities to leave me 20 messages (I let it either go to answer phone or I rejected the call - which goes to answer phone) - yet there was not a peep from them other than the incessant ring ring ring...

If they do the same thing tomorrow I'm going to tear them an audial (right word?) new one!

That sounds like the behavior of Card Save ( the payment processor for the smaller business), once Card Save have your details, incessant persistance doesn't adequately describe the non-stop calling that then follows

I had the misfortune to enquire on behalf of client, who was looking for competitive deal on epos. I'm not even retail, yet soon the non-stop calling came, every day, what seemed like every few minutes.

Fridge(lol) has come back from slimming world and has put on 1/2LB, I don't like this as it is very clear that she is now a pork chop and her backside has gone enormous as a result hahahaha.

Nope as I'm marrying her in April, been with her 8 years in March, 2 kids and living very happily, I treat her with utmost respect like women deserve to be treated. She gives as good as she gets with the Pee taking believe you me.

Hahaha, good luck with the wedding, I got married in October, everyone said "don't be nervous"... And I wasn't, until I was at the church, then nervous about the speech, then about the first dance... Quite a crazy day, do your best to take it all in, even though it's a long day, it's over so quickly..
