ssd1984
Nope, the wiring needs to come from the bcm/fusebox, used the wiring harness for a titanium simular age, and just used the 3 wires for the sensor and refitted the single wires into the excisting correct bcm connector. if you decide to go ahead and do it , can do a fitting guide if you want Would be great if you can make a guide for rain sensors! I'm planing to retrofit it in my car too! I I thought the wirring for rain sensor and auto dim mirror already where there.. I think I have seen in a US forum that they have theese wire in they cars even they don't have factory fitted dim mirror and rain sensing.. iantt
The wiring harness I used was 1863508, but just double check you may have the loom wired up already, it wasnt on 2013 zetec. the harness was the most expensive part of job,£66, would recomend scrap yard for that, all you need Is the connector with a bit of wiring attatched to make up loom and a couple of connector pins that go in bcm

JW1982
The BCM (Body Control Module) is fully integrated into the interior fuse box.

ssd1984
A little update.. I recieved the fakra z today, and plugged it in, and TMC is now working! Then I tried the dab antenna in the white connector on the radio unit, and then the black connector on the screen, but still no dab options in the display :-( But it dosnt matter, I´m still happy with org. sat nav :-D
Typhoonf2
At least your traffic is working now. As i said a few post earlier maybe the DAB needs activating with focccus? As everything in your pictures is exactly the same as mine so it can only be something simple thats stopping it from working.

CountP
I am considering upgrading to the Sony system in my pre Sync Focus. I have located a Sony system with Satnav that has matching part numbers. The wreckers have already removed the system so I can't see what plugs in where. I know I will need the harness from the display to the radio unit and I will need to buy a gps antenna. What else will I need? With the Sony satnav system what plugs in where? Thanks

Thanks Everything was just "plug & play" except navigation commands, you need to wires from the display to radio unit to make it working(see older post) To make voice commands working I just locate the outputs from display, and inputs in radio unit, and took 2 wires and connected them(really easy!) and wupti voice commands working And yes of course a gps antenna, if you want TMC you also need a fakra z
CountP
Thanks. I re-read the entire thread and this time it made more sense. There was some confusion at the wreckers yard and it seems the system I was after had already been sold so the search starts again.

CountP
I'm in Australia so AUD $300. It had satnav so it was areally good price. I had been watching it on eBay for a few weeks with no bids. Other wreckers over here generally want $450 and more. I'm hopeful he will still find it in amongst the mess. The problem is not so much the price but finding the right part numbers compatible with my car.
Hutchy36
Hi guys I've got a 2012 Focus Zetec S , I've just took the plunge and bought a (AM5T-18B955-BJ) 2013 sat nav screen and a (BM5T-18C815-XF Dab radio combo , my original non sync screen was a AM5T-18b955-BF. I've purchased a V2 sd card , a gps Fakra antenna and a Nav Ford fascia control panel . Question is do i still need the 2 wire link from radio to sat nav wired if so how did you make a good connection between the units did you buy connectors and insert them into the plugs or did you cut the plugs off of a scrap car and rework them into your harness also where does the fakra z antenna go and is it necessary, one last question can i update to the latest gps maps as advertised on T.C Harrison ford for £81.99 part number 2013847 thanks in advancefor you help with this
Stu1974
Good Afternoon. I'm sorry if this has been asked before I am just in the middle of trying to sort the parts needed for my wifes Focus 13 Plate Zetec S TDCI 2.0 for conversion to navigation. I have been reading this excellent post regarding the conversion of this and have a question. The wiring between the screen and the ACM for vehicles that don't have navigation as standard, the pins 6 to 4 and pins 12 to 5. Where do I find the pins to connect into the connector? The wiring is pretty easy to do but I cannot find the pins. Can I buy these? Any help you can provide will be very much appreciated. Thankyou. JW1982
Ford does not sell connector pins as a spare part. Ford sells a limited number of connector types as a pigtail connector for wiring repair purposes. However these pigtail connectors are way overpriced. The easiest way to obtain the correct connector pins is from an electronic specialist. However for this you need to know the exact brand and type of connector. Ford uses several different connector types from several manufacturers. The brand/type of most connectors can be determined by the product number that is casted onto the connector housing. Based on this number you can search for the connector specifications. These specifications will also list the connector pins part number that are compatible with the particular type of connector. Most connector pins are easily available from electronic specialists or wholesale suppliers. Many suppliers however only sell connector pins in larger numbers (usually at least 100) or charge you high P&P costs. The easiest and cheapest ways to obtain the missing wiring is from a local scrap yard.
Victory
@vibeone has the satnav loom left over from his conversion, this may be what you need

Both "main" connectors are included (but chopped - you'll need to splice/extend the wire. I assume you'd just carefully remove the required pins and push into your existing connectors etc). Ben.s
Hi there just a quick question I have a mfd display that is like the one you have in pic with satnav on it but I just wondered what the green connector is on the back similar to the fakre cable apart from it has 4 pins in it instead of
