SeanW
I hated 6th Form Might be because it was full of pretenious wa...people. My fellow students weren't much better!! Now I think about it, they were the sort of people who inspired the whole "ironic hipster" crap we have now.

Phil 87
BT I have to disagree and that has absolutely nothing to do with my job interview on Tuesday. I'd have to disagree too, been with them for over 2 years, most of that time with Infinity and it's been great. But I know a lot of people have had problems with them. JackR
I had a mate who was on BT, the entire house got 2.5MB/s and if you called him on Skype, his Xbox LIVE would get disconnected.

V6 Lover
Tell you what I don't like..the indicator stalk being on the right, when the gearbox is on the left.as far as I know all the motors I've driven of recent vintage ie..from 96 onwards have this annoying feature..When I started learning to drive a couple of years ago...back in the eighties... my mk 1 essort 1.3xl mk 2 Tina 1300 super de luxe, minis(3), fiats(131,132 GLS),and toyota celica mk1,corolla liftback etc had indicator stalks on the right...which made my indicating and junction approaches a lot more intuitive, they were smoother and easier to time right as your left hand is left free 'so to speak' to get on with the important buisness of selecting the right gears for a perfect entrance and exit from any sort of manouvre that requires the use of your indicators.I hope I don't sound like a loony in my attempt to explain this..does anyone else find the indicator being on the left as a total ball-ache..why oh why did they decide to change what had been for years the British motor car having its indicator stalk on the right were it felt natural, to on the left which is okay....if your French!! . iantt
Alot of the jap vehicles until recent had indicators on right.
jeebowhite
I tend to find its OK as I use it as a reminder that when I change gear for direction I indicate the turn, I learned it as a little trick to help me remember not to stuff up my test, and guess what.... It didn't work, I could have had a perfect pass but forgot to indicate my leaving of a roundabout, even though I talked myself through it our loud, lol. The examiner had to mark me down even though he heard me say it, bad day, perhaps it was his day of the month or perhaps he was being strict lol Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
Phil 87
I agree about the indicator being on the left, but that's how it's been in every car I've driven. There are a lot of times coming off a roundabout where I'll want to change gear and indicate at the same time which can be very annoying. V6 Lover
Iantt..didn't know jap cars still put them on the right till recently.. the last time I drove a jap was a Nissan Micra courtesy car back in 02 can't remember if that was a righty or a lefty..but yeah I hate it as is does make awkward the indicator gearchange...very acute on roundabouts as phil 87 also found.. like you say very annoying... grrrrhh ..Hey jeebo I too got a markdown for a lane infraction..haha I knew I wouldn't walk away with a clean round..he had to.. just +%#@;+ had to..probably couldn't get his leg over the night previous... Nathan_M
Conquer the gear change problem with plenty of revs and indicate normally:D
Ianb
Can't say I've ever noticed either way.... But hey, be grateful you didn't have to pay extra for it like they do with beemers...

V6 Lover
So BMW give you this option when buying one of their motors? doesn't surprise me its a cost option but if I was ordering a brand new bmw I would defo have this indicator stalk on the right and begrudgingly pay for it... V6 Lover
on my old impreza it never bother me Hi Richard 150. Its not so much that it bothers me as I've well put that puppy to bed, but I was thinking back to some of my older cars as my lad was down on Sunday in his Learner badged Chevrolet matiz and to cheer him up a bit (he knows its a crap car) I compared his matiz to my old minis and was telling him about how my old car had its indicators on the right and there was no loud ticking to let you know they work... instead I remember this particular mini had a slim chrome stalk with a little green light on the end that flashed in time with the indicators and I'm sure they never self cancelled either.. Mac.
SeanW
My Dad has a Hyundai - blinkyblinky stick on the right. Whenever he gets in my car he ends up wiping the screen! (Shouldn't be a problem this year - he's not on my policy and I don't think he has drive other cars on his!!)
Dan P
My Dad has a Hyundai - blinkyblinky stick on the right. Whenever he gets in my car he ends up wiping the screen! (Shouldn't be a problem this year - he's not on my policy and I don't think he has drive other cars on his!!) I was forever doing this when I drove Mrs P's Daihatsu Sportrak (which was a surprisingly fun drive - the driver's seat was like an armchair and the steering wheel made me feel like I was driving a bus!) My guess is its an outrageous sum of money as it's rare any of the owners ever appear to have bought it...

Unbelievable haha..so this is what your faced with when buying a bmw....but hold on shouldn't a car come with as standard indicator...what do they have in its place if its a cost option..trafficators.... ..this has tickled me..made me laugh does it come with optional steering wheel and optional brakes etc etc..haha
