RAIDER32
Very nice, I'll know it's you now if I see a Blue RS on my travels between Leeds & Halifax, I saw a Blue RS a few weeks ago coming off the M606 with a Y*66 plate, but that had standard silver alloys so I knew it wasn't you. Philf1
Not happy that after only 7 months and 7500 miles that my seat looks like this A trip to Ford is on the cards for a warranty claim Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalkwww.tomholroydphotography.co.uk So update on my seat issues Ford warranty declined to repair stating that this is “normal wear and tear “. Seriously can you believe that? So I wrote to Ford customer services expressing my dissatisfaction in rather strong but polite terms that Ford find this acceptable after such a short time on their prestige model. Yesterday I got a phone call to tell me that they are going to replace the whole seat [emoji575] Sent from my iPhone
CyprusPluto
That's poor after 7 months. Make sure the blue exactly matches the other seat before you let them put it in I noticed that part of the leather on my Focus ST drivers seat got worn out pretty quickly (not 7 months though). I use to frequently cover, just that part with leather conditioner after that so it was very slippery and I'd practically slide out; minimising the rubbing affect, which is obviously why it wears out so quickly

Whilst it's good that they agreed to replace the whole seat for a new one (eventually), why not just offer to that straight off the bat and gain a little goodwill with the customer. Especially when a customer has pad for their "halo" model and the customer clearly has a valid point!

In about 93/94 I had a Saab 9000 CSE company car, and after about 15000 miles the material on the drivers seat started to open up around the stitching. Saab replaced that without any bother at all. Obviously, a manufacturing fault, as the replacement seat lasted all the way till the car went back at 104,000 miles...

To be fair it's not just Ford, virtually all the big names don't seem to give a damn when their customers have a problem.
Philf1
I did point out my brand loyalty in my complaint and they had that confirmed by the dealer who I’ve bought my last 3 new cars from as well as family purchasers Sent from my iPhone
D13 HPD 95
like the plate Phil, have to say tho that seat id have gone nuts, glad you got it sorted, id recommend waxing or putting auto finesse leather seat compound stuff on makes it soft feeds the leather and keeps the colour nice and bright also helps the rubbing, you can get a kit its £31 for a cleaner and sealer to protect it
