This wouldn't surprise me Scottie, but we will never know unless we have a man on the inside. 

However, either way, the system is broken and there doesnt look like there is an immediate fix.

We just gotta wait and see if our name is pulled out of the hat! 

Friday manufacturing bulletin due at 130pm to dealerships. Worth knocking on their doors about 2ish (uk time). 

Just got an email from my dealer, my estimated build date was June/July. It’s now showing as July/August. They expect me to be expecting a delivery around October, I ordered Feb 17th this year. 1.5 diesel ST Line Vignale Automatic.

Ford dealer contacted me again to say still showing build date of July 15th for order placed Nov 2021.

Will find out next week I guess 🙂

Have had a nice long chat with a Ford dealer this afternoon, seen the latest bulletin and got some details on 2021 orders.

Note that Ford can and very well might just change this at will including the dates such as the one set mentioned below. It’s a good sign but until the orders are built could mean very little.

• Ford have 4 weeks of Sync 4 exclusive Focus production planned from next week (at least for UK deliveries).
• Ford hope to clear the 2021 backlog for builds by mid-August.
• Builds should include all 2021 orders regardless of specification/options.
• As example a friends vehicle is now set of July 27th build; Nov 2021 order with all driver assistance extras. This appeared in the last couple of days.
• Still no reply or information from Ford higher-ups as to lack of communication or inconsistent order to build dates. Not expecting anything but am trying every avenue I can.

First of all let me add my thumbs up to ‘21 orders hopefully on their way… now the thumbs down…order placed late January for 155 st line Vignale, told to expect delivery June/July. This was pre Ukraine so I expected delays.

informed last month that it will be June build! I was chuffed but not confident.. just had a call that now it will be a September build, but might not be (information relayed from Ford by my broker) so this would be November delivery at best! I have a feeling that towards late August I will be told build date put back again, meaning that I would be looking at a2023 delivery if I’m lucky… all this not the blame of broker/dealer, but Ford, treating customers like shcyte!

 I would not be surprised if Ford pull the plug on a lot of existing orders and build what they want in fewer and fewer numbers until the demand disappears till closure 

If the next call is as I fear, I may despair at the humiliation of it all and cancel and return to running old bangers and save myself £25,000!

It may mean some of the build dates we are being given are starting to make sense. I.e. 2021 orders finished by mid Aug.

Then, others on here including me who ordered in 2022 (me early march) are being given September as a build month. My dealer said this'll likely be October for mine.

Kind of looks to make sense right?

Hi guys, I got a message from my dealer today to inform me that my car ordered on 2 nov 21 is programed to be produced in 21 july with eta 13 august. I also get a vin number and other stats so i think the information is legit. (Titanium x vagon, mhev, 125 cp, manual, with paint) 

Hi guys, spoke with my dealer today (in Greece) and he pretty much confirmed what @Jibberish333 wrote yesterday and that there are positive news all around, not only for Focuses. He also said that there is a chance for a late August or Septemeber build date for mine although the system doesn't show anything yet (155 ST Line X w/ plenty extras, ordered first days of February). Let's hope for the best and let's all get good news soon!

I don’t think so. The big thing will be if Ford can maintain a steady supply of Sync 4 Touchscreens (the parts that were sourced from Ukraine) and semiconductors/modules (which are sadly still somewhat of an issue). There does however appear to be some confidence in the current plan and even though I expect a week or two with no production here and there hopefully the big month long delays from the quoted build months are now behind us.

That’s great news luliB, as you say having a Vin is a great sign it will meet that date (that was the one thing missing from most orders currently on the W/C 25th schedule from my understanding).

 

Just a heads up while Ford will quote 4 weeks build to dealer on the system I am informed a more realistic timeframe is 6-8 weeks (although of course some do arrive quicker) at the moment putting your delivery somewhere early September if the build dates sticks.

I have an order for a ST-X registered in Ford system with 2-11-2021 date (based on the Preorder I placed right at the unveiling in October).

My dealer in RO has no reports, bulletins or any other info than what appears in the system for each order (at least this is what they are communicating).

For my specific order the status is: projected build November... 🤢

 

Wouldn't it make sense for them to prioritize the most expensive and profitable top of the line models?

 

PS. Right before the production freeze in March I had a date of 18th March for production and also VIN allocated.

These were obviously deleted.

I saw a new Focus in Magnetic grey today, looked very nice. 

New grill and light signature look a million dollars 🤤

Did see one as well in magnetic grey with the Katana wheels. Looks stunning, facelift really suits imho especially when combined with the Matrix led headlights that are darker.

I agree on the new grill being an improvement, but I'm a bit surprised they're still using Magnetic Grey.  Does anyone else feel that's a bit dated now?  I thought it was getting old when I chose it myself 18 months ago!

I have Magnetic grey now and agree its getting old.  However I have also recently seen the facelift Focus in Magnetic grey and it looks quite good.  Having said that the Focus I have on order was originally in red, I have recently changed my mind and had the order changed to black.  Am not sure if I have made the right decision or not, only time will tell lol

I did originally order mine in Magnetic, but have since changed it to Mean Green. The magnetic does look good, especially when it catches the light.

Good choice! I’m not a fan of the red (race red?) my blue paint was expensive I could’ve gone with what was the free or as standard option red paint and got an HUD , B&O stereo maybe a convenience pack with the difference. Difficult decision , wish I had both blue paint and more toys. 

Agree'd, the green is a great choice.  Maybe I'm having a midlife crisis but I'm really liking the greens and oranges on offer across manufacturers at the moment.  Saw a new green 308 in the flesh earlier this week too.

I agree with you too Tom - l think its just a generic lack of 'different' car colours at the moment, they all seem to be a million shades of black, white, silver or boring greys or so it seems......

My dealership just informed me nothing of note in todays bulletin, also no updates on my build.
