Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

Top it up every few days in the winter months & you shouldn't run dry

I don't have time though.  Yes my mother could do it, but that would involve her opening the bonnet and I'm not sure I trust her to do that...

After my salary goes in I'll buy a couple of 5L bottles of the "good stuff" (strong concentrated screen wash I use neat) and fill it full, which should last a few weeks at least.  Last time I only had a small bottle so didn't fill it to capacity.

..i know the answer I think, but who's car is it?....or are you just being a good son?

Her car, but I pay for it.  The only thing she does it drive it!  In return for taking me back and forth to work every day, I pay for everything (insurance, tax, servicing, petrol etc...).  Still works out the same as getting a taxi!

I don't like change...  Everything's different here. :(

I don't like it either! It was fine before!

Everything seems very blown up :'(

All normal on the phone...

Will warm up to it in time :) at least I hope, don't use a phone only for when I need to verify one of my accounts using a text message lol

I hope she's doing OK now, presumably she has already had the op?

Thanks, yes she is OK. Op went well, she had an epidural and was awake through it all! Apparently the surgeons told her to imagine they were doing carpentry and were making a cabinet!

So mum is off to Gloucester tomorrow for support...

I much prefer it on my mobile. Can use Firefox and get rid of chrome now. The old mobile skin wasnt great. If anything is not working right or feels really hard to use then post in the site requests forum so it can be considered. Embrace change. The new software has more features and is much more touch friendly (hence the increased spacing)

I use a few different forums so am used to switching between different formats, but I see where you are coming from.

It'll all be "normal" in a few months though and the change will be forgotten about.

Realising I'm out of parking permits and won't be able to get some until tomorrow midday because of the council don't possess the ability to do same day transactions...

You need permits to park in Plymouth:ohmy:

Wouldn't have thought Plymouth was big enough, to have the volume of parkers, that would need residents permits

The old forum didn't work at all on my mobile, just immediately crashed the browser, but that probably has more to do with the phone than the forum lol.

I'm not saying anything is wrong (so far at least...) I just don't like change, even when it's for the better...

Edit - I don't like the new lol smiley :P

They're visitor permits.. We have resident permits which are an annual thing, but to save visitors or in this case - sparky and the chippy from paying on street parking, it works out better for them to have daily parking permits.

As for the forum, I've got the foc app, so it's all kinda the same..

Saying that, after update I seem to be one step behind on quotes... Quoted myself instead of GMX.... His words were included in my own post...

Give it time!  What I personally would have done would be to take the forum down for 24 hours and get everything changed over and working 100% before people could see it, but due to the popularity I can see why it was left up.  The result though is that some faults are discovered before they can be repaired.

24 hours without the forum?

Indeed you do.

I have to pay for the honour of parking outside my house only for the local Housing Trust that bought up all the old council properties to be given free permits for their drop-in office staff to park anywhere they feel like.

There's 15 spaces outside my house and on any weekday there is at least 10 of their cars parked there all blooming day.

I have complained a few times (especially as directly behind their office is a socking great public car park) but all I get is shrugged shoulders and hollow promises.

I had a bit of payback a couple of days ago though-

My usual routine is to go to work, collect the works ST then go home to collect the dogs.

Parked up with a daily permit up (usually only takes 5 minutes to load up and bog off anyway) went indoors to get the furry bandits then came out to an Enforcement Hitler applying a ticket.

My crime? One wheel was just on the cusp (about a centimetre if that) of being over the white bay marking line.

He got prissy, I stayed cool and told him he couldn't ticket me.

He asked why not and I switched on the covert blue lights and told him I was doing a drugs raid, then watched his face drop.

Priceless.

That's what I mean, people wouldn't like it, however it would have been the only way to make the change go without any problems.

^^^^^^^ firkin forum!

Haha, stoners house surely. ;)

im not liking this at all, i used to just click on latest posts and just the topics came up to choose , now i get a list of all posts made, very confusing.

Glad to see the mobile / tablet app still the same. Wont be using pc for the forum then.

It's called unread content now it is totally customisable.

I have mine set to only show topics in list view. :)

Cos of the work we're doing at our place we had to move rooms... Last night was a horrible night... Too hot with a cover, too cold without, bed was soft which isn't normally a bad thing, but our mattress is useless so I've grown accustomed to a crap mattress...

All in all, I'm feeling like I should have just stayed up all night playing video games, id have felt just as tired and I'd have had fun...
