You too, it's like people who put toilet rolls on back to front, it's quite unnerving

That doesn't bother me, I actually quite prefer it facing the wall... Strange person, I am!

Strange lol

Oh, is that yours then Chris?

I thought it was just a car you'd photographed passing by, so to speak

Yeah it's my mum's. Having a "new" (used) bumper fitted, typical French car, you have to take the whole thing apart to do the job properly.

And I didn't put the alloy down like that, honest! But I'll bear that in mind that it could scratch it for my own car. (Wouldn't worry about his one too much as mum loves wrecking alloys)

You're not the only one! I like it like that too...

TO think I wanted to be a surgeon and then watching Casualty operations. SPEWWW!!!!

Is that your car Chris?

That was taken after the 1st driving lesson . . . . . :(

Yet you both have cats

Bunty will paw at a roll that a guest has left against the wall, and unravel the whole roll into a pile. :o A roll hanging free is ignored.

Can't be any messier than helping breached cows calve surely?

Pawing at toilet roll is far too much effort for Buttons. She won't even attack a ball of wool these days!

I knew someone would say that!

How's Buttons with potpourri? That's Molly's loo related pleasure, she's not a loo roll unraveller, she launches herself at and into the bowl  Chasing all the bits and ensuring every surface has a least one petal/piece on :unsure:

I've got a poly-rippled ceiling in the hallway straight onto the plasterboard so there's no removing it. I don't like the fact the polycell smooth over hardly went far at all and made a diabolical job of it. Fil is finishing ceiling with plaster - going on a treat.

We knew the house was a fixer upper when we bought it as it had hardly been touched since the 60s when it was built but

It's steadily getting there and I'm loving the results

Thistlebond and skim is the answer for any horrid ceilings! That b&q smooth over stuff is total crap.

That's what he's using, it's going on a treat and looks amazing, I'm just hoping the polycell stuff is sandable tbh it doesn't cover far but looks dreadful

Scratch that, he dragged it off the ceiling

I don't like how long the grass has grown since it was last mowed.

It's been to warm for it to be dormant and too wet to cut :( Then, when it's dry enough to mow, there's either been a north easterly wind blowing or it's been below 8°C. :(

It's now too long to reliably see where Brandy had made a deposit, treading incidents have occured, whilst hanging out washing on the occasional dry day, like today

poly-rippled ceiling be careful some of that old stuff had asbestos in it

I don't like that it's "drive a Ford like a **** day" and I missed the memo....

Where? Just Plymouth?

or are you still in Jersey?

Wouldn't surprise me, given the amount of asbestos on we've found in this house so far: It's been buried in the wall, the weather strips outside, was in the old storage heaters before they were ripped out, I think it's in the loft too

bad stuff

I don't like finding out I'm 'one of them' with a brake light out! Day before MOT as well. Sods law I have loads of bulbs from cars I've broken up...but no red ones for clear lenses! <_<

Yeah, I hate it when that happens - especially as I judge other drivers with blown bulbs quite harshly.

I recall one day at my old place of work I saw a Ford Focus pulling into the car park with the O/S brake lamp blown and mentioned to a colleague about people being lazy and not checking - only to step outside and realise it was our Focus (mother was picking me up)... Made me re-think slightly that maybe it is excusable in some instances to have a blown brake lamp for short periods of time. If it goes on for weeks though then that is just laziness.

The longest I go without checking brake, reverse and fog lamps is 7 days at my weekly fluid and light check. Of course the tail lights and headlamps are checked every time they are used.
