I don't like not knowing if the 2014 onwards focus St's have turbos.....

(my cheeky way of asking here!... I don't think I could do without the turbo whine like the 1.6tdci lol... Love that sound)

They do - it's a 2.0 ltr ecoboost ( petrol )

i don't like the patchy e mail notification on this forum one minute it works then it doesn't and desktop notification

It's not just this forum, I have it on other forums too.

Maybe something to do with the provider/forwarder :(

Everything decent has a turbo these days lol, emmisions regs more or less stops big NA petrols!

As for the email notification, I find half of mine from here end up in the junk folder and half in the normal inbox, no idea why that is though!!

Can't beat a big NA petrol though! Cougar V6 springs to mind :P

167 bhp wasn't much in the way of poke for a V6 though

Well that's the new ST sold on me then! I'm definitely having one now..

A few hurdles first...

1. Money

2. Wife's permission

Definitely want the latest ST estate! Dream 'budget' vehicle... I mean that in the sense that it's not an outrageously expensive vehicle.. (just still too expensive)..

I know it's not the most powerful. But not everything is about power. It's just lazy, I like a lazy 6 :D

The roar it makes is better than any other v6 I've heard. I borrowed my dad's after I crashed my ZS and it's fantastic.

Sounds better than my dad's SLK350 and my mum's old 325ci and my own 607 v6 for that matter

My 2.0 GTi6 had 167bhp with 2 less cylinders... :P

V6s are more about the noise and easy drive than a power figure though imo! :)

Exactly!

Well, number two wouldn't be a problem for me.  It'd just be a case of getting the money together and then telling the wife "we're getting a new car"

I don't mean to sound sexist, but women don't consult men when they come home with shoes or handbags...

Emissions regulations can kiss my back side.  The deep growl of a big N/A petrol is ten times better than a turbo whine in my opinion!

I dont like that my FOC app isnt working anymore. It was so much easier and quicker to get around the site on my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini.

I don't like getting a "talk" from work about not taking sick days when I have taken a total of ONE in the past 12 months because I had a vomiting bug and was in the bathroom for most of the day.  For the record I come to work every day with depression and anxiety issues, dental problems as well as other physical issues I don't wish to mention here or to them.  Lets just say I am in pain mentally and physically most days but just don't complain about it - so if I have one day off because I am GENUINELY ill then I think I should be entitled to that!!

Needless to say that on top of other things stressing me out, I'm fuming.

If only I won the lottery and didn't have to work I'd happily tell people what I thought of them.  HAPPILY.

Sorry to hear about work + you health...  If it is any consolation the lottery didn't hold up their end of the bargain for me either, so I had o cancel quite alot of things hahaha.  I wouldn't worry about telling people what you think of them anyway, I do and that's probably why I have no friends BUT and it's a big but, I've got/get respect off adults, some of which are double my age.  Now when your 23 coming on 24 with no qualifications in your chosen career and you have adults with tonne's of experience giving you respect.  Now that is something to be proud of

I had a similar scenario a while back, was only a part time till tart...  I had a major panic induced IBS episode at work one day (undiagnosed at the time), doing evening shift, manager had gone home, only me and 2 other staff there.  Had to run to the loo 3 times within half an hour, each time being asked if I was ok and giving the generic 'yeah, fine' as you do lol but eventually had to ask to go home, with much embarrassment as they could all guess why!  Anyway, next time I went into work got a grilling from the deputy manager for leaving just two staff and not producing a doctors note!  It wasn't my fault they didn't have enough staff to start with, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get a doctors note for having the s*its at 9pm on my way home...  That situation triggered several more of the same until I couldn't even get to work without a problem...  :(

Thing is, I really hated it, was my first ever job and it caused so much anxiety I was really struggling to do it, but I didn't once complain about it or have to tell everyone about it every day (unlike some of my colleagues at the time!).  I think most people have 'issues' they keep to themselves and struggle on, it's just a shame some other people assume you're ok as long as you don't have limbs hanging off and just think you're a lazy !Removed!.

I don't like not having a pack of cigarettes!  Had to suspend my smoking due to dire finances but will definitely be buying a pack of Marlboro Reds come Wednesday (pay-day) morning.

Regarding telling the wife we're getting a focus ST....

I've only been married 3 months (we've been together 8 years) and I know full well that if you want to achieve something you should ask permission.... Telling dear wifey that I'm doing something can lead to two outcomes:

1. Trouble and therefore not doing it.

2. Trouble, doing it anyway, then so much more trouble that you then regret doing it so much that you actually become happy to return the purchase and grumble about how silly it was in the first place....

The two rules for marriage are:

1. Ask the wife.

2. See rule 1.

Wish this applied to wifes asking husbands.  I'd have so much more money.  She can buy anything and everything, yet as soon as I ask about getting rid of the car for a 5 series estate(even with pitching the more practical and cheaper thing) NOPE.  IT's not fair.

I don't like kurbing my alloys, that's 2 now.

The end of the day, I had friends but the most important person in my life was me... Now the wife takes that throne and I willingly voted her in...She's definitely made me a better person because I think twice about trouble, but I have sympathy for any man that crosses her because they will not only have to deal with her, but also me..... So Yeh, I'll seriously joke about having to ask her permission, it's semi true but it's still a tongue in cheek joke..but 99% of the time, making her happy makes me happy.....

The other 1% is a 2015 focus st estate :P

You can never really be fulfilled if the most important person in your life is yourself.  I know that first hand.  It is a depressing and lonely existence.  But, we have to play with the cards we are dealt - and mine is a deck of solitude!  For now, at least.
