Things I Don't Like

Featured Replies

I'm much like Ghana, takes a fair clock to get my nose going.. Worst one I ever had was when I was a toddler, jumping on the bed, fell off and broke my nose..

That was more or less it until rugby training when my nose connected with someones head, but even that was just a few drops... even if my nose did swell up like a cucumber...

...not that I'm complaining mind...

Loft insulation (fibre glass) can be whacked somewhere onto this list.

Can't beat a bit of Phil Collins, haha.  I look forward to my time off work because I think, Oh yayyy I can get things done.  Do I get them done?  Nope.  I don't like getting told by the boss, oh pull yourself together.  Well sorry for going through a difficult period I will try and not do it again.  I get some !Removed! stick, makes me want to stay in bed/be a hermit

Why is that word removed lol.  It's only blood with a Y on the end.

I just don't give a crap anymore to be honest.  I go to work and do the best I can, if that isn't good enough then TOUGH EXCREMENT.  It gets to me though when a manager says "is there anything you'd like to talk about?".  Trust me love, if I did want to talk about it then you'd be the last person I'd talk to!

I don't like a Peugeot 405 Executive coming up for sale within traveling distance (Dundee), but it doing so at a point in the month when I have absolutely no money!!  Why couldn't it have waited a few weeks?  God damn it!

Oh he wasn't being a Richard about it, just said it in a general tone.  Trouble is a manager would say that, do they care?  Probably not.

They wouldn't care at all, which makes it even more insulting.

Caught me out a few times too...got warnings for similar!

It's daft how many words are removed on here, I can only assume the swear filter is external...

Even car related words, such as !Removed! the timing....  !Removed! lighter...  Tank !Removed!...

Is anyone old enough to drive actually using those words offensively?

Plus I'm not sure I know any exclamation words that aren't classed as rude on here.

I don't like it when I don't understand the post above, yet other people seem to get what your on about/what the missing words are :sadwalk:

Hahaha I love that little emoji at the end.  It took some working out for me to get the removed words lol.  I don't like Demon Tweeks.  Expensive and they don't do anything for my car, well anything decent anyway.

Well the first one is the opposite of 'advancing' the timing...  It just means 'to slow down' but has since been used offensively by 8 year olds...

Second should be easy, 3 letter word for cigarette, shortened word for a meatball...  Chemical letters for Flourine and Silver...  Offensive in the US, which is why I assume it's an external swear filter.

Third one is what you are if you slap someone...

Also just remembered you can't even say !Removed! on here...  It's just a donkey...

I don't like mental illnesses.  It is hard enough to cope with my own without dealing with other people's.

And God forbid you should make a pudding called by the nickname of "Richard"...

know that feeling all to well, it's worse when you sit there quietly and just get on with it and the other person sits there broadcasting it on FB and in your face at every possibly opportunity, 'Oh I'm mentally ill, blah blah blah', 'I'm doing this because of my mental illness'.  Yes you've said your mentally ill umpteen times, we all know your mentally ill you don't need to exaggerate the point even more.  Yes it's good that you've acknowledged your mentally ill that's part of the 'healing' process but I think now she is bordering it onto attention seeking.

I do question the veracity of people like that!  Most people that really are mentally ill either don't realise it and therefore would go as far as denying it, and those who have acknowledged it would still not want to "boast" about it.

The kind that is bothering me at the moment is those who are in denial.  Like an alcoholic drinking whisky at breakfast and saying "I don't have a problem!".

I don't like waking up this morning feeling like I've been ran over by a truck.  It's not even alcohol to blame (for once...), I think I've got a virus.  Great!

I don't like that my shredder has died.... I have a huge pile of stuff to organise and it's much easier to say "Don't need this - shred" rather than stuffing it in a bag and then bag tipping, then re-sorting again... ¬_¬

How inconvenient!

That's when having an open fire is useful...

I don't particularly enjoy boasting about it lol, I feel it more of an embarrassment/not a serious illness, more of a man up thing but that's how I feel about myself lol.   I'm not sure how you can be in denial about it.  You know, you don't wake up every morning with suicidal thoughts(going off my own situations here) & think ohh there's nothing wrong with me do you?

We'd just brought one.  Yayyy happy days lol

I don't like waking up to a big puddle on the bathroom floor, that appeared to be coming from the general loo area.  It's quite disconcerting to walk straight into wetness under foot, that's not supposed to be there.  It wasn't yellow, so it wasn't a dog or cat accident.  Once mopped up, I traced it to the incoming pipe.  Which bizarrely is not pipe, shut off valve, pipe and the coupling to cistern: but a motley collection of speedfit fittings with stubby bits of pipe, some less than 25mm long!  It looks like the installer decided to use all his offcuts to make up the pipe. The leaky fellow is the coupling to the cistern.  I didn't think these more modern plumbing systems failed like that!

I think I'll redo it to the more standard pipe, shut off valve to pipe, while I'm at it.

Meanwhile, outside we had a spontaneous 600mm high fountain appear in the road overnight.  It did look quite odd, spurting up through the road surface! Wessex Water repaired it very quickly this afternoon.

Garden shredder or office shredder Ian?

I've got a spare garden one which you could have, but you'd have to collect it - it's a bit too big too pop in the post.

Co-incidently, I shall be making a spotted richard pudding with a syrupy bottom shortly, owing to the fact I haven't enough currants for a fulled spotted Richard, so am combining syrup pudding with a spotty one:smile:

I don't boast about my recent mental health issues, but nor am I embarrassed - and I am more than willing to share my experiences if someone else gets any help from it

(Even just a simple "I'm not alone!!)

With depression you can't really be unaware of it (I wish I could!), but I'm more referencing paranoia and that genre of mental illness.
