Things I Don't Like

Oh I got the wrong end of the stick there...  Thought you'd hit him and his head went through the windscreen.  Shame...

I don't like that Xbox Live keeps failing to connect when switching on by the controller button despite there being internet connectivity...but connects every time when switching on by the console button...don't understand why it should be any different!

When I've described him to people, they've said they've seen him riding like an imbecile too.

Don't like needing 2 new front tyres maybe a 3rd depending on the puncture, which will then turn into 4 as I can't stand having 3 matching & 1 odd, 2 matching I Can cope with.  I'll also need disc & pads next month, I think they'll get me through this month.  Also something is up with the dog today, he's being very attention seeking & really cheesing us off, changing his name to horse **** as he's always in the road & getting under our feet.  Not usually like this

Sitting in the barbers bored out of my mind ;) @Preecematt

Having just walked around the lawn, contemplating giving it it's first mow of the season.  I don't like the huge patches of yellow, where Brandy has been for her winter ablutions.  It's going to need re-turfing:sad:  There's too much, just to hope it will re-grow.  The odd pee is OK: but a whole winter's worth, needs annual re-turfing:sad:

She used to go out onto the gravel section of the drive, but since there are no gates at the bottom, she needs to be supervised at the front.  Whereas in the back she come and go, to her hearts desire..

I think I'll have build Brandy a separate gravel winter ablution zone by the patio at the back, and train her just to pee there.

Was he been left on his own, and is feeling neglected?

Brandy gets very clingy and needy following, admittedly, quite short periods in her case, of being on her own.

The crackhead rides around on the bike at night without any hi-vis or lights and I've nearly knocked him off a few times because he rides out of the same sidestreet crossing a main road. It's a route I do nearly every night on my way back from visiting the other half. And I will admit that I've called him an effing idiot because he rides like one. He's seen my car outside my house and done it in, there's slight cctv footage of him but nothing that the police can do much with as we don't know where he lives. While there are many focuses near me, not many have a bright blue university parking permit in the windscreen :/

Might I add that in 30,000 miles of driving there have been a few close calls but none where the ABS has kicked in like with this pleb. When I say I was within millimetres of knocking him off, I mean it

So he damaged your car?  I think if you see him again you should go that few extra millimetres and "accidentally" hit the accelerator instead of the brake.  A person like that shouldn't be able to ride a bike, if you catch my drift.

Nah just smash him off, stick a needle in his arm and say he is clearly off his rocker *

*don't really do this...

You could have changed reg-plates maybe? Idk...

Even if the po-po catch up to him, he'll probably only get a slap on the wrist - maybe a small fine, and not much else (unpaid community work at a stretch). The country has gone down the drain with soft judges, and the constant culling of police forces around the country. :wallbash:

You should really rotate your tyres so that the fronts don't wear out quicker than the rears.

I'll be needing 4 new tyres soon enough for the 405, not because they are bald but the sidewalls are cracking quite badly.  Hopefully it'll pass the MOT and I can do them in a few months, but worst case scenario I'll need to do them before which will be a bit tough on the old wallet...  I was surprised though to find that, whilst pricing up new tyres, it would be no more expensive to buy tyres for the Santa Fe than my 405!  Despite the difference being 185/65/14 and 225/70/16 there was very little price difference.  I'll be glad of that though when it comes to replacing its tyres!

If the police got any softer they would be marshmallows.

As proved this week you can murder (sorry, culpable homicide - because although he stabbed a boy in the chest he didn't "mean" to kill him...) somebody and only serve 9 years.  With that in mind I could kill someone I despise and be out of prison before my 30th birthday.  That's law enforcement for you.

Bring back the gas chamber!

I don't like that the £7.54/kilo oxtail, that's in Brandy's tea bowl is being ignored.

Whereas the £1.90/kilo heart is being eaten enthusiastically.  I thought she might like some oxtail as a treat:sad:

...not much to do with the police, unfortunately. Falls into the courts hands, and indeed the hands of Human rights...

Mines only due to the road on the way to work, more holes than a colander and my front tyre has bulged and the passenger front tyre is starting to peel away on the wall, tread is fine all around lol.

this was over night lol when I got up at 4 for work & he was still the same when I got back, yet he'd been with the kids & Cheryl so I don't know, must of had a bad dream or something.  On a separate note I'm looking at getting our rear lawn reseeded & levelled as the previous owner had paving slabs.. pulled them up and left weeds to grow + there is weeds all in it & also around the 7ft fence all inside it is moss, so I've dug that up as a border but I still want the lawn reseeding.

That's true, in fairness to police officers they are only doing what they are allowed.  There was a time when police officers could do what they saw fit to ensure people stayed within the law, but these days if they so much as touch a criminal they are in the wrong.

Yep, sounds like like 95% of the roads here in NE Scotland.  Driving up a farm lane is smooth compared to the main roads - trust me!

One of the 405's tyres has some peel between the tread and the sidewall, mainly caused by being under inflated (at least when I bought the car) and sitting for long periods of time.  So irritating when there is still plenty of tread left!!  Hence why I want to keep them on for a few months at least as having had cars with much worse tyres, I know they will hold for a bit longer.

If you want to know what I mean by "much worse tyres", see this picture of a tyre we had on our old Focus...  It must have been like this for months, but in my defense the day I noticed the wear I got it replaced.  I'd never drive with steel belt showing - EVER.  That goes beyond dangerous in my opinion.

This tyre was fitted to the near side so I only saw the outer edge which looked fine, until I turned the wheel one day and looked at the inner...

@jmurray01 is that a new type of slick?  What was the grip like with it lol

Ha!  Surprisingly it still gripped fine probably due to the fact 75% of the surface still had tread, but if I hadn't noticed the inner edge I'd bet that we'd have had a serious accident soon.

Needless to say that the alignment of that Focus was WAY out!

That's some alignment related wear!

Don't think I've seen it as extreme as that.

Is that a repaired Suffolk Punch lawnmower grass collector, I see lurking the wheel in the two bottom photos?

Good Lord Ghana, you don't miss anything do you!?  Almost as bad as me...

It was indeed, and I had the Suffolk Punch to go with it, running perfectly after I serviced the engine further to picking it up for free.  Ended up selling it on for a profit as our small lawn at the time didn't warrant such a professional mower.

I don't like this...  Hardly surprising, but disappointing nonetheless.

Better luck next time eh?

Whilst it is true that money can't buy happiness, the fact is the two big worries in my life right now are my mental illness and the electric bill.  If I won the lottery, I'd still have my mental illness but at least the bills would be paid!!

I don't like getting quite wet in unexpected and then continuous downpour during Brandy's late stroll.  Rain wasn't forecast here until tomorrow afternoon: I was quite inappropriately dressed for rain:ohmy:

The shape of of Suffolk Punch is iconic and unmistakable.

My current lawn is too small to justify one too, and awkwardly (for mowing) split on two terrace level.

I don't like the fact that I see much better with my glasses, but refuse to wear them for anything other than driving...

It is indeed, but most people these days are more familiar with a Flymo than a Suffolk Punch.  Not me though, obviously.  My vacuum cleaner was made in 1977, my current mower in the early 1990s and my car in 1996.  Needless to say I'm not a modern person!

The shower is always challenging after I remove mine, when it's become too steamy.  Unless I've put the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in order, I can't see well enough to discern which bottle is which:lol:

Having said that, it's much easier too see very close objects without them, when say soldering or cleaning the micro-switches in your dissambled mouse.

Yes, close-up objects are fine.  I can see the screen of my laptop perfectly whilst typing this, but anything further away than that is a blur.  Seeing the Sky TV Planner is rather challenging!
