Yeah, it updated last night, but got stuck at the restart all night until I needed a single use code text this morning...took so long to restart that I missed the 10 minute window and had to get another one.   I can't find any settings to change it though.

@TomsFocus On Android, it's normally Settings, About, Software Update. Or Settings, System, Advanced, Software update.

It depends on the make, as many of them change it.

Do the security and bug updates also require a restart?  Or is it just OS upgrades?

(Looks like it also zapped the power last night, 17% 😮 )

Yeah the security/bug updates need a restart too, although they don't take as long.

Ah ok, that's the issue then.  The problem is it can't restart over night without my passcode, and I don't know it's not 'working' until I go to use it the next day, lunchtime or later...

How does anyone else get around that though?  Do most people not have to enter passcodes on startup?

I just update manually, I usually force an update before it's offered because I'm keeping an eye on news or trackers to know when it's out 😛

Hmm, that sounds like effort!

I just wait until it tells me there's one available...

 

I don't like that my usually quiet neighbours think turning music up really loud covers the fact they are having a massive domestic...  When you're screaming at the top of your voices that is louder than your HiFi and music only draws more attention.

I don't like that people believe everything they read on the biased news.
The last few years has really shown me what a one sided agenda is being thrown at us daily.
Sad to see friends on Facebook peddling lies.

Happy birthday!  Hope you had a good one, since it is now almost over...

I don't like that it is impossible to find an under counter freezer that is less than 47cm wide!!  You can get a larder or a dishwasher at 45cm wide but the most narrow freezer I can find is 49cm which would be just too wide for the space I have. 

Can any of the alcoholics on here tell me what the usual ratio of gin to tonic is within a G&T?  I don't drink and am trying to work out whether a 20cl bottle of gin is adequate for a gift...going for quality over quantity. 

1/3 gin 2/3 tonic is the recommended ratio 😉 although 50/50 can be ok as well! 😄 

EDIT: By replying to this have I just admitted to being an alcoholic? 🤔

Lol, maybe!  

20cl is pretty small then, considering a bottle of tonic is generally 20cl and come in packs of 4... 

Don't be tight, get a large bottle.

Poor rather than tight at the moment!

I'm remembering why I don't like Amazon though...  Thought it would be the ideal place to order a gift to be sent directly to someone else...  Half the stuff doesn't offer 'gift' packaging (so will include packaging labels and invoices), and the other half doesn't qualify for free delivery over £20.  

Also not entirely sure that lockdown won't be slightly lifted by the time I need it to arrive...making this whole exersise futile anyway!

Still chilly this morning.  Have only had the bathroom storage heater on for the last month and the bill was still £85 for April! 😮  Was fully intending to turn it off yesterday but the weather had other ideas!!

That's about £10 more than this time last year, I guess lockdown may not have helped, but considering I spend most of the day at home normally, it should only be a few extra hours of TV/Xbox over a week...and I'm pretty sure they don't use much.
