Ianb
A kilo! :o I once ate a 250g bag: and result was quite explosive an hour or so later, but a kilo Dried apricots are far higher than the more well known prunes and figs for their fibre content. One of the parents of the hybrid Sharonfruit; the kaki, is higher than dried apricots but they are an acquired taste - too sweet to the point of cloying: yet as tannic as old teabag that's been soaked in oak chips! You'd struggle to eat more than a couple of kaki. They're only palatable when they are going off: like our medlars I believe it was a kilo, may have been half a kilo, either way it was a significantly large amount that resulted in some near death experiences on the loo....by all accounts...
MONDEO TXS 2.2
I don't like having to clear up after the X.O. after she's been in the kitchen - anybody would think she's been cooking for half the adult population of Wales . . quite possibly the messiest creature ever created :) Too many years of having staff running around after her methinks. . . :(

It's relatively easy to consume large quantities when watching an engrossing movie That's what dishwashers are for. ;) Domestic dishwashers can't remove baked bits on dishes, on burnt on fat, as well as you can. They're good for general crockery and cutlery cleansing. Commercial dishwashers are better: but eye wateringly hot soapy water, a woolly stainless steel scrub and elbow grease will remove all the stubborn burnt on stains :)
chrisroberson99
Well if you have a good one such as a Bosch, and use the intensive programme they can remove just about anything. Believe me we never pre rinse and wash some seriously burnt on stuff, and it's come out sparkling. :) Just remember to use a good quality tablet like Finish Quantum and you'll be surprised. :)

chrisroberson99
You store wine in the utility room? A dedicated wine cellar is needed for that. ;)

The dishwasher gets the lesser soiled items.

GMX
My utility room is where the vegetables gather, to be prepared - after being harvested from the garden. Brandy has a large orange cushion and her kitchen water bowl, in the corner by the kitchen opening. From which she can supervise the cat flap opposite, like a toll keeper The wine lives in the garage with the freezers
jmurray01
I don't like eating a couple two many apples, I'm now somewhat bloated and am awaiting the sudden urge for a No.2 That surely follows a big intake of fibre in one go I have to ask, how did it go?
GMX
I have to ask, how did it go? There were three loo sessions, between 2-2:30am, each one more urgent than it's predecessor. After an interlude of around an hour, a final trip to the throne occured: and that was that. :)

Best sponge I've found for the non-stick trays is the non-scratch spontex one with the 'metal' scrubbing pad. Can't find them anywhere lately though, had to go back to the conventional ones which don't scratch, but also don't really clean lol... :(

Vim is still available in the US, so everyone who goes over there, is asked to bring back a few tubs.

Preecematt
Any plates that get left on the table are usually cleaned by the dog when we're not watching, naughty little . Go's and sulks in his bed if he gets caught. He does however do a good job, same for if Ash decides he doesn't like his dinner and launches it, in comes Casper and hoovers it all up. Saves on Dettol ha. Who needs a dishwasher or hoover when you have a hyper & greedy cocker spaniel

You can still buy them, but they are getting rare in UK shops.
jmurray01
I don't like finally getting comfortable in my job and then everything changing... This could be the beginning of the end for my time at my current place of work, but I'll use what months I have left to get something else - that's for sure.
