Phil 87
Haha, whilst it's funny, its also pathetic that tourists think if you live somewhere they want to visit, you either must not own a car, or you must own one of stone Colour so it can blend in for their pictures... True, but it begs the question why is an 81 year old driving a yellow Corsa lol. Maybe it was really cheap because of how ugly it is. If all the tourists and photographers are so offended they should each donate a few £ and buy him a grey or brown car that will blend in to the surroundings :P. Or just persuade him to trade it in for the same car in a different colour (or preferably a Fiesta which photographers would be happy to include in their shots).
jeebowhite
Haha so very true. I just think people need a life, the missus recon he's going to do the economy no favours, and people might go elsewhere for picturesque photography... If that's true, it proves what we all know, vauxhall ruin everything from driving experiences, to ford killers (in my experience!) and now they kill the economy...
chrisroberson99
I say good for him! At his age it's nice to see him able to drive and have a car he likes. Much nicer than a silver Jazz that most old people have!
Ianb
I'm with Chris on this one, when comes to older folk I'm not bothered what they drive. Often they've paid their dues and I hope if I make it to that age then I'm cut a lot of slack. I suppose I've found myself a ford in a Vauxhall sandwich a few times and semi panicked as we've been driving, hoping they won't do something daft, but I believe the majority wouldn't care if they were sitting in a Vauxhall/ford/ or some top end car, transport to them, is transport... I think it's the people that are modding their vauxhalls and/or those that are incapable of driving properly which are the ones we need to be wary of... Stoney871
Fair do's to the old fella. I'm sure it's his way of giving the finger to stuffy snobs.
jeebowhite
Haha, shame it was a corsa though, if ford did a fiesta in that yellow, he might have steered away from the dark side.
Celticfan
Uh oh!!! Just seen ad about the C***a coming with a heated screen as standard. What's the world coming to when amoeba level cars have equipment deemed only suitable for higher intelligence levels?
Stoney871
I heard that Vauxhall were the first to fit rear heated windows as standard so drivers could keep their hands warm while bump starting their cars in the winter. ;)
laumk7
I'm surprised they've only just joined the rest of the pack really in having a heated windscreen, goodness next they'll have CD players and everything ;) Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
Celticfan
Apparently there is a rumour they might try and build decent cars. Some people need locking up with imagination like that!

Celticfan
Don't worry, there is no way on earth that they would ever be able to design, and build, anything like a decent car. The world is safe from manic thoughts ( plus your secret is safe and you can stay at large)
Ianb
To be fair though, if they did build cars that could corner and were a lot better then perhaps there would be a lot less accidents... (And Jeeb would still be on his first ford...) Sent via carrier pigeon using Ford OC
jeebowhite
Let's be fair, they need to work on getting the fundamentals right.ets be frank... They haven't been able to keep their cars on four wheels... This is where the budget keeps going, all these as standards are them putting money back from the whole '4 wheels on the ground'. Who knows, the next car may possibly not have a default feacial position?!?!
jeebowhite
As for the Ford comment your right... I suspect there plan is simple... Keep there cars crap, to write off other cars, then you subliminally find yourself attracted to their pap-mobiles...

Been a Vauxhall translator is easy for example: Luk at mi stance bro.. translation- it looks rubbish as its vauxhall my good sir. Uz need ta c hw fast my CORSA goes m8... Translation- I did look but when is it going to set off ! Ma Opel in the garage getting made to go even better cnt wait.... Translation- seriously ! 1. It's a Vauxhall we live in the UK u dip s**t. 2. It's most likely in the garage because it broke down "again" 3. Unless you have taken it to a ford garage to trade it in then it's never going to be better !! (I have a friend with a corsa, and another with a Vxr corsa. thankfully they don't talk like that but we do have these discussions/arguments constantly) Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
