Hi all.

This is a German forum talking about delivery delays, not sure if you're looking at it already?

Worth a read. They seem to have more info about when the plant holidays are etc.

It's quite funny to read in a sad sort of way. They're saying very similar things, and are also tracking each others orders by adding a note in their message reply footer as to when they ordered and what delivery dates they have been given by dealers.

I don't understand, this is a big lottery...I placed the order on 7th of Feb and I still don't have any news, and it's a 125mhev Titanium X not a ST-Line Vignale...So disappointed...

I hope it is true, this would be an excellent turnaround all things considered. Keep us updated Dukey.

Sounds as if factory shutdown is deffinately happening then. I could'nt really decipher to much as google translate is whack sometimes. 

Summer shutdown happens every year though.

I know, my dad is an ex employee.

However, JLR have cancelled their shutdown on certain lines, offered overtime and bonus for hitting production targets (totally appreciate a rangey isnt a focus). 

But, I'm quite certain this would be the case at other companies too. 

Ford America in the past has cancelled summer shutdowns. 

It seems to be quite a culture in Europe even outside the car industry to have summer shutdowns so doesn’t surprise me they are still doing it.

I agree mine is the 155mhev, there doesn't seem to be any logic in the process.

Lol so do I.  When I initially ordered mine the salesman said I wouldn't see my car until at least August, so I am hoping he isn't just telling me what I'm expecting to hear. As soon as I have any further info I will post here.

Totally agree, but all things considered i thought there might be a reduced shutdown.

However, this may help the supply chain catch up with components from none shutdown (or factories with different shutdown dates) suppliers.

So till september no Sync4...That's not a good news tho...

To be fair, if they are on summer shut down until late Aug, might not make that much difference.

Makes no sense to have a reduced shutdown period.

Think about it, they have already announced they will drastically reduce the monthly cadence starting 29th of Aug (when assembly will restart after summer), this is a fact. They are also targeting a much lower yearly output of max 117K cars. Jobs are already being cut at Saarlouis through different retirement schemes and voluntary bla bla, etc.

Ford EU is clearly struggling with all sort of IC supplies and they will definitely priorities models that have more market success like SUVs (you don't want to keep SUV clients waiting).

They have no reason to prioritize Focus as it is an end of the life model. They will keep jacking up the prices to keep it profitable and make enough cars in higher spec to realize this goal. 

I can bet you that they will stop production long before the "estimated" date end of 2005 they gave. And in the mean time auction off the plant.

Just tried my VIN in Ford Etis and got no hits, guessing that's because its not built yet?

Yes it's the full 17 character vin

Just heard of someone taking delivery on Friday of a ST line Vignale estate 155 ps ordered on the 11th March, later than my order so it seems a lottery as to when mine will be delivered.

Probably an active order, it's impossible to get the car so fast...

Is an active order, one made for stock in the likely event someone will order that spec?

I wonder if matrix LEDs are an issue.

Checking autotrader for all specs, there aren't many STs (standard on those) and I haven't seen 1 single mk4.5 with matrix. I.e. all of the st line vignales are with fixed LEDs.

The only ones I have seem are the press cars.

According to our sheet many are waiting on non STs and matrix as an option

IF it was an order made in 2021(sept-dec), of course that's why the car came so fast, otherwise it's almost impossible if you have a car with sync 4 to get your car in under 5-6 months... 

Take mine for exemplo, ordered 17 March but as i saw it's a November placed order, so no surprise. The thing is that we dont know the truth about the orders unless we can see the Vista, internal print from dealership.
