Thank goodness she's a trained professional that noticed it 😳

I've just started reading 'This Is Going To Hurt' by Adam Kay, only a few pages in and I'm amazed at the amount of work and hours that NHS staff are expected to do 👏👏👏

read it - hilarious and a bit scary, as you say, 'cos of the pressures the staff work under. tried watching the TV version but gave up, preferred the book!

Being sworn at on the road when I'm in the softop (roof off) or on my bike, just travelling along and minding my own business. Why is it that people think just because you are in the open air they can swear at you? latest was today turning into a pub (Kings Arms, Knowle) - sharp bend behind, humpback bridge in front, car comes round corner and driver surprised to see me there moving slowly turning into the pub. The Language - and with my wife aboard as well🙉.

I won't go into the "car-body-language" I get when towing the caravan!!

The most disgraceful display was a few years back in the waiting room of the local eye hosp. One of the specialists, we were told, had just wizzed off to Afghanistan or some place so apologises given for the wait. One guy (big guy, leathers, colours etc.) volubly complaining 'cos he had something in his eye and it hurt - a real tough egg. Contrast with the squaddie quietly sitting there with an army nurse (she'd guided him into the room a few minutes earlier), sitting looking quietly dignified with both eyes bandaged.

I have a rookery out the back of me, my car is used daily as target practice, and they're pretty dam good LOL That's why I'm a big fan of 'waterless wax', as it a quick daily task to keep on top of removing bird sh*t 🤣

No rookery here but have 2 fishing ponds very close which doesn't help but yes, the water less wax is great stuff.

Always have a bottle of it in the boot with a microfiber cloth.

Passing your driving test and finding it difficult to get my indicator stalk and rear view mirror removed…also why shouldn’t I be able to go through a red light on busy roundabout and block other traffic? Also wait for a car to come towards me as I overtake cyclists and try to skim past them to teach them a lesson….( there are some who believe this is normal!!)

I have to be careful here on the open net; peoples be watching; and I'm currently being watched 😅 solicitor informed me,

But anyway; found two really amazing people out of 10, one treated me like an absolute Prince and only lived 3 minutes away had bright pink hair over blonde and loads of tattoo's right classie bird, could pole dance and all; seriously 👍🏻#IsNice

but her kids weren't ready for her to move on and her ex threatened to kill me; he's homeless and put her in hospital last Christmas,

But anyway that ended suddenly; Brough me over a load of drink then told me like 🤣 good girl

Now im with a really lovely genuine girl from well a bit further away 65km up the road, no tattoo's no piercings no crazy ex, chats minimum 4 hours per day been to some fine diners,

Massive eyes 👀 😍

I'm booked in Saturday morning getting my left eyebrow and nipple pierced 🤪 something different

Busy sorting my clothes for upcoming maderia holiday( daughter already said it's an old persons destination)

Anyway I've put a little weight on over COVID lock downs. My clothes have shrunk while hanging in the wardrobe. Chucked out 22 tired shirts in the bin. 33 shrunk ones for charity shop. Left with 5 from 2003 that still fit for home/Garden and 4 that are ok to go out casually in.  That was a clear out. Shame there's not a nudist beach and I would be ok for clothes. Binned and charity shop some pairs of shorts too.  Don't like clothe  shopping but I'm going to have too😭😭😭

@BigLen happy to hear how things are going for you. Puts some hope in me there are really decent women out there who are human 😅

So was very very very close to buying my first Porsche. Went last Friday to see it and the guy only wanted £3500 for it. Needed some bodywork attention on the bumpers and bits. 78k miles, FSH with lots of work done he did in his 3 years ownership.

Was going to pick it up today but during that time between I was having massive amounts of worry and stress. Would I be able to sell it on or how long will it take to sell? Any hidden repair costs that could occur? Etc etc.

I was trying to think not to worry though in the end I called the guy today and told him I sadly don't think I'll be getting it. He got upset, sent me a message saying I wasted his week though I feel on a good note he messaged again saying he realised he priced the car low and will put the advert up again with a higher price after I sent him a long message apologising and explaining how I feel.

Feel like a massive weight has been taken off me. Thinking of it it would of just felt like a show of status getting this car.

Got ripped off at a petrol station on the motorway. Was 187 pence per litre 🤦. Could of went further and filled up nearer my area but didn't want to risk going to reserves

Isn't that what your reserves are for?? LOL

And since wednsday moan it's gone up again by another 3p. 9p in less than 1 week. What has supprised me the most expensive in the town centre is Tesco, followed by Morrisons then Esso. Usually the other way round.

199.9 on m5 by me for diesel.

Yep same at M3 Winchester services today.

189.99 for petrol.

It is generally around 170 for petrol most places but they really like to take advantage on the motorway services.

Don't think I've ever put fuel in at a motorway services. Normally my car is fueled up prior to any long distance drive. Up to 800miles from a tank full so more than enough for where I need to go.

Quite! I did do a "Splash and Dash" once when I misjudged things ...

At £118 for a fillup someone has either a very big tank or bought very expensivley!

Got back from Donegallast week - I live south of brum, was very pleased to get to Letterkenny on 3/4 tank of diesel after a couple of days of daily use before I set off, then going the long way round off the ferry at Larne(via Cushendun, Giant's Causeway etc.). A bonus - paid 1.89 Euro/litres, equivalent of about £1.62!

I used to only fillup when nearly empty but these days if its below 3/4 and I see it (relatively) cheap I'll top up -even so thats a week or so 's use normally.

Typical diesel price is around £1.81 a litre and a Mondeo has a tank capacity of about 65 litres so yes it would take about £118 to fill from empty.

I can spend £90+ filling the tank on a diesel Focus Mk4 and I think the tank is only about 60 litres

That's what when it shows 0miles left on the dash and then keep going for another 30miles. Or is that just me? 🤣🤣

47 litres on mine, gave me quite a shock seeing the projected mileage until I realised the tank was smaller than the 55 litres on my previous car. When almost empty that would be £80+.

I'm having to organise a plan b for our hols on Friday. Been a lot of cancellations by the likes of easyJet, jet 2 and tui the last few days ruining family holidays either delayed or completely canceled with less than 7 hrs notice!!

Due to go away Friday afternoon to Madeira . No way I'm staying at home for a week.

Any suggestions on where I should holiday if my hol is canceled.

Was thinking of getting a eurotunnel ticket and tour France instead. That could be easily arranged at extreme short notice.
