dhr90
Looking good! Surprisingly effective boot lights, most cars seem to be useless! Like the puddle lights a lot. Instrument cluster lights look a little bright to me? Are they not distracting when driving in bright white, or is it just the photo? alexp999
Just the photo. It's a bit over exposed. The ambient lights aren't that bright either.
Stoney871
Aye, you can dim the dash and ambient lights down so they aren't distracting at all
dhr90
Can you change the instrument light colour? If I had one I'd like it to match the footwell lights which are spot on!
alexp999
The dials are red in the instrument gauges so do match nicely, imo.
zed550
Which bulbs did you get for the puddle lights and how tricky were they to replace? Can I recommend some really good reversing bulbs?- http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=371123457268&alt=web Stoney, are these bulbs easy to swap? Stoney871
You have to remove the light clusters completely to do the job but all straightforward.

alexp999
Was just flicking through the driver display menus this morning, wasn't expecting to see this! I've not even been driving with that in mind, although I have noticed I don't have to push the ST as hard around town as my old car, simply because it has enough low down grunt to make good progress, it is like driving a diesel again. I will take some more pics of the car as soon as I can, weather has been awful and car is a bit dirty for a photoshoot at the moment, lol.

Stoney871
I find that if I change gears exactly when the prompt tells me to then I'm changing gear way too early and the engine is barely idling.
MONDEO TXS 2.2
I'm truly ashamed to say that try as I might . . . I simply cannot achieve zero petal status on either car - yet ! :o

alexp999
I've not been trying to drive economically, lol. My daily commute is only a couple of miles so the engine is never warm enough to drive it hard. I only get to have proper fun when I take it out at weekends. Not been pushing that hard though until I get a few more miles on the clock. Thing is, it has such good power low down you can change early and still shift. Only reason to hang on to the gear is the noise :D

Largoh
Finally got round to fitting the boot LEDs. Really easy to do. Take the back seats down and pop the light out, disconnect it and swap the bulbs over. I took a before and after shot. The old bulbs look like they have more light coverage. I'll have to check this out tomorrow night Before After
alexp999
Nice comparison, brighter and whiter but a bit more concentrated. I wonder if you can just turn the light housing round to face the bulb the other way...
Largoh
Nice comparison, brighter and whiter but a bit more concentrated. I wonder if you can just turn the light housing round to face the bulb the other way... I'll give it a try tonight. No reason why they shouldn't fit the other way around from what I could see. Update: There's a bit of plastic inside the gap that the housing clips in to that stops you turning the housing around. I push pushed it with very little force and it snapped so I was able to turn it around. It definitely changed the light within the boot but it's not dark enough to notice if it's any better. I've done one side for now to see what the difference is. Will take pics later
Largoh
Here's a half and half. There's a definite difference but I'm not sure I'm keen.
